How to divide a 577 GB C local disk so that the HDD doesn't convert into dynamic?
The problem is, I know that Windows 7 won't allow more than 4 local disks on the same HDD, and in diskmgmt.msc there are already four partitions: SYSTEM (no letter), C local disk (windows installed), Recovery (D: ), and a FAT32 system HP_TOOLS (E: ), which is barely 4 gigs. Now, the C local disk is 577 GBs, which is annoying, so I'd like to have a partition where I can store my stuff, in case I need to reinstall/recover the windows (It's not mac, so over time windows gets buggy, crashy and sh**ty, you know). How do I create an additional local disk for me so that it doesn't convert Basic disk into Dynamic, and the recovery partitions are untouched?

Apple does not repair devices beyond replacing the screen on some models or a battery replacement. They replace the ENTIRE device.
For the Out of Warranty replacement cost, you could have gotten a fully functional replacement device. Instead you chose to spend less to get only the screen replaced and continue to live with additional issues.
Apple will not touch the device now. They will know that it was opened elsewhere and that the replacement screen is not original. -
i got my first macbook air about a year ago. awhile ago i started getting these notifications saying "your startup disk is almost full" or "your startup disk is full". i was wondering how to get more space on my startup disk, if that is possible?

1. See Lion's Storage Display.
2. You can remove data from your Home folder except for the /Home/Library/ folder.
3. Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on freeing up space on your hard drive.
4. Also see Freeing space on your Mac OS X startup disk.
5. See Where did my Disk Space go?.
6. See The Storage Display.
You must Empty the Trash in order to recover the space they occupied on the hard drive.
You should consider replacing the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits. -
Hi, please, anybody knows how many coolers has an iMac 27 Intel core i5? The widget iStatpro shows 3. I changed my HD (the previous one of 1TB crashed) and after that, the HDD cooler is constantly working at 4.600 rpm. Anybody is facing this problem?
Did you replace the HD yourself? If so what HD did you use?
You should be aware that the symptom you describe is likely to be because you've used an incompatible HD. The current Macs have the temperature sensor actually in the HD package, with a modified cable to connect to the logic board.
If the sensor is not in circuit, the fans will run full tilt all the time.
Also, if it was under warranty, I think you'll find you've just voided it. -

Go to to your Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder in the Finder and then enter Time Machine. Go back to the last backup that has the domain file, select it and use the Restore button.

I stupidly tried opening up my iPhone 5s to clean the rear camera a few weeks ago. In doing so I tore one of the cables on the display and it stopped working, as did the home button. I had to take it to a local shop where I was charged £100 for the screen repair and a new home button (I was told that the fingerprint scanner would no longer work).
Long story short, I took the phone back the next day because I couldn't hear anything through the earpiece, but the speaker was working. The guy did something to do my phone and fixed it temporarily, now about 3 weeks later it still isn't working.
I would take it back to the same shop and complain, but I will probably get the same shoddy service. I really regret not taking it to the apple store in the first place as it probably wouldn't have been much more expensive. What are my options?Since everything you did voided your warranty, Apple will at best charge you the out of warranty replacement fee, and offer you a refurbished iPhone of same specs as your own.
You'll need to take it in and discuss your options with them directly if they wish to offer you any. -

the Imac wont start, the screen its white and the HDD make some funny noise where can i report this issues to get a replacement on the HDD? of course if the Machine stills on waranty

We are creating images through ghost server to clone onto several laptops and one of the features we need to have configured is the Web of Trust extension in Firefox. I have configured a local account on the machine and set up Web of Trust and then copied the profile image in regedit to the default profile image and saved this. WOT works for local accounts but whenever I try domain accounts, Web of Trust needs to be disabled and re-enabled.
