How to do a stop time video

Hi everyone,
I want to do a stop time video, sorry I don't know how to say that. Basiclly it's when the video playing, at that moment, I want to stop the time, freeze it for 1 second, but the video still playing, after 1 sec it continue. For example, I drop a apple in that video, apple falling, but at 1 sec, it stop falling, time at player still running, and after 1sec, it continue falling. Please help.
Thank you.

You can also Export a Still, for the Frame that you wish to hold, Import it with a Duration of 01 sec., then Cut your Clip, and place that Still Image in between a Cut at that point - if I understand what you want to do.
Good luck,
Hunt

  • Can't change stop time on song

    Hi all.
    I have a song recently purchased on iTunes that won't let me change the stop time. The actual play time for the song is 3:21, but it stops and goes to the next song, in iTunes, after 3:08. I am not having any problems with the stop time with the same song on my iPhone 4. I know how to chage the stop time of a song; I've done it many times before. But when I go to the options tab on the song, select the stop time check box, and change the time, then click OK, it beeps at me and the stop time goes back to 3:08.
    Please help!

    Can you confirm that you're -
    1 - selecting, then right-clicking a track
    2 - selecting Get Info in the context menu and then going to the Options tab
    3 - then using the mouse arrow to position the cursor in the Stop Time field
    4 - and then changing the entry in that field.
    If so, at what point does the problem occur?

    Hello, I have a vi that measures speed in rpm. How can I add stop time measurement in it.
    I want it to start counting when the speed is below to a desired rpm and stop at zero.

    I would just use the Tick Count (ms).vi.  Call tick count when you want to begin counting and call tick count once again when you want to stop counting.  Subtract the first value from the second value to find the elapsed time in milliseconds.  Then convert to whatever units you want.

  • How to stop Time Machine from backing up Temp Files?

    Hi folks!
    I am trying to find out how to stop Time Machine from constantly backing up 'useless' temporary files accumulated from web browsing? Although I don't change or add large files to my HD, Time Machine backs up hundreds of MBs every hour. Those file amounts make sense when I consider that I browse a lot to YouTube, SoundCloud, etc to watch videos or listen to music - I just don't want them to be backed up.
    Under Time Machine Options I already excluded the following items from backups:
    ~/Library/Caches
    /Library/Caches
    ~/Downloads
    But even though I did this weeks ago, Time Machine stills finds large files to be backed up every hour and my only guess is that I am still missing a location where either Safari or Firefox - the two web browsers I use - store temporary files.
    Can you help?
    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Are you sure you need that? There are no viruses that run on OSX. None. Zip. Zero.
    If you're running Windoze on your Mac, that's the same as running it on a PC, so it needs all the same anti-everything stuff you'd use on a PC.
    There is some "malware," such as Trojans, for Macs, though. But (unlike viruses that can get onto your system without your knowledge), you must approve their installation (via your Admin password) and/or operation (via the "This application was downloaded from the internet ..." prompt).
    Appropriately enough, some of these Trojans are included in pirated versions of Apple software, such as iWork!

    Thanks a lot again!
    You're quite welcome, and thanks for posting back.

  • How to start and stop video acquisition in a state machine

    hello,
    I'm a neuroscience student and here's what I'm trying to do: 1) trigger a GigE camera (200fps), 2) start video acquisition, 3) trigger a light that will stay on for x miliseconds, 4) trigger a valve that will blow an air puff, 5) stop the tone and the valve simultaneously and 5) stop the video acquisition 1second after 4). For that, my VI is a state machine, with a state for each trigger (ex, 1 state for trigger camera, 1 state for trigger light, ect) plus a state to "stop" and a state "time to wait". Everything was working except the video acquisition - the program would trigger the camera but only acquire one frame, because it wasn't running in a while loop and this is my first question: for a video acquisition is it always necessary to have a while loop?
    I assumed the answer was yes, so I built a "consumer" loop for the camera. Putting a queue in the state "trigger camera" in the producer loop, I was then able to start the video acquisition but now the problem is to stop it in the right time. I have another queue in the "stop" state in the producer loop, but it isn't able to start the "stop" state in the consumer loop, I think that may be because the consumer loop gets "stuck" in the while loop.
    I hope you can help me, the VI is attached. Thanks!

    Hi Gak,
    Thanks for the suggestions. I still didn't got it to work though. I moved the stop command to inside the while loop like you said but it didn't work. The problem seems to be in the communication between the producer/consumer loops. When I run the VI in highlight, the queue message "trigger camera" leaves the producer and arrives at the consumer loop in the appropriate time, starting the "trigger camera" state of the case structure. However, the message "stop" doesn't seem to be sent by the producer loop, so the consumer doesn't receive a signal to start the "stop" state of the case structure. Can you think of anything I should change in the producer loop so that the second state (stop) is added to the queue?
    About the functional global, I read about it, it seems that either that or a local variable could work, but I don't quite know how to implement it in my state machine, since the stop of the first while loop isn't activated in the "stop" state but in the "shutdown" state. It works more or less like this: after 10 loops of triggering and stopping the camera, light and valve (so after acquiring 10 movies), it goes for shutdown. Can you show me what you had in mind with the functional variable?

  • How come when I view flash videos my videos stop, but the audio plays  and I see rainbow colored lines up and down the video.

    How come when I view flash videos my videos stop, but the audio plays  and I see rainbow colored lines up and down the video. I attached a image below.

    ATR, just to make sure you understand me, all my video clips in my folders appear as the first frame of the video clip when I view my folders as (small, medium, large)icons instead of lists, when saved as .avi files but when saved as .mp4 files, those icons display as a graphic icon of filmstrip with a musical note on it. I do have various other methods to open with (quick time, windows media, winamp or real player) but prefer real player because I like it's quick and easy trimmer that comes along with it, since so many of my videos are just pet antics where you need to clip off the boring beginning and ends of the video.
    I did go on a few of the icons and right clicked, Open With, and tried quick time and also Windows Media and it did nothing as far as how the file was saved for display, and they opened the same no matter which player I used...the actual video opens and plays right at it's first frame... but it's the way it is visually displayed in STORAGE that bugs me because it isn't immediately apparent to me what it is a video of (weddings, outside the house, pet antics)... it makes me have to actually title things and read titles where before I let it just be dates because I had the visual of that first frame as a reference. Obviously, this is a problem for unedited videos only, as anything I actually work with, I do give a title along with the date of the video.
    I also just realized this seems to be the way ALL videos that are wrapped in .mp4 are displayed, as my bloggie camera's videos appear the same way. Now I know why! My other videos display as .avi's so I see the frame. Puzzle solved. Guess I'll just have to learn to live with it, as it seems to be how things display with the various formats.
    Now I need to watch some tutorials to learn how this Premiere program works! It's all new to me, since this is the first time I've been able load any of my videos onto it. I haven't even been able to figure out how to trim on it yet!

  • How to display the elapsed time of a video (event video) in Captivate 6

    I have a Captivate 6 project which includes two separate videos and I am wondering how I can display an elapsed time for the videos - preferably one that stops if the individual stops the video.

    Hello and welcome to the forum,
    Are you talking about an inserted video, or about the Captivate file itself? I'm asking this because a lot of users refer to a published CP-file as a video.
    'Elapsed time': is this the real time spent by the user, or the time as you can see in the TOC (developer's time)? I blogged once about the difference.

  • How do I stop Time Machine from backing up Aperture thumbnails?

    Hi,
    My 2TB backup drive recently became full, and I became curious as to what was filling it up. I wrote a perl script to analyze the Time Machine backups, and I noticed that over 50% of my backup was filled with AP.Thumbnails and AP.Minis from the Aperture project directory. In particular, the AP.Thumbnails files in the backup consumed 737 GB of disk space!
    The problem with the thumbnails files is that they are a single file that contains all of the thumbnails for all of the 40,000 photos I have in Aperture and it is now 20gb in size. Every time I add a new file to Aperture, the thumbnail file changes, and I get a new 20gb of data added to my backup. I add photos often which means that most of my backups have 20gb of Aperture files (which are easy to rebuild and don't need to be backed up).
    I decided to try and stop Time Machine from backing up these files, and there seems to be no way of doing so (without telling Time Machine to skip backing up my entire Aperture project which I don't want to do). In Finder, you can do a "show package contents", but the Time Machine GUI doesn't allow this.
    I tried to tell Time Machine to exclude the files via the GUI, but Time Machine sees the Aperture Library as a single package and won't let me exclude individual files from within the package.
    I googled around, and found the attribute that Time Machine puts on files to exclude them from the backup. I used xattr to set the attributes:
    xattr -w com.apple.metadata:comapple_backupexcludeItem com.apple.backupd <filename>
    I also used this command on the iPhoto thumbnail files.
    I used spotlight to find all of the files with this attribute using this command:
    sudo mdfind "comapple_backupexcludeItem = 'com.apple.backupd'"
    This command returned the iPhoto files, but did not return the Aperture files.
    However, if I run "xattr" on the Aperture files, the attribute does exist!
    During my next time machine backup, the iPhoto files were skipped as I wanted them to be, but the Aperture thumbnails were backed up again
    I thought that maybe time machine was looking at the aperture package as an atomic unit, but iPhoto is stored as a package as well, and the attributes worked there on files inside the package.
    Does anyone have any idea why time machine is still backing up these files? Is there any way I can get around this?
    It seems to me to be an incredible oversight on Apple's part since both tools are Apple. The thumbnails files are very expensive to backup, and they are not necessary for backup since the are easy to rebuild from the original photos which are also backed up.
    Thanks,
    Ron

    No need to write your own script for that. there are a couple of already made nice GUI tools for this - TimeTracker http://www.charlessoft.com/ and BackupLoupe http://soma-zone.com/BackupLoupe/

    I don't have aperture but I think most people exclude the whole thing from TM backups and back it up separately. but if you want to exclude a subfolder in a package that's easy too. just select the package in finder, control-click on it and select "show package contents". in the resulting finder window drill to the folder you want to exclude and drag it to the TM exclusion list in TM system preferences->options.
    I googled around, and found the attribute that Time Machine puts on files to exclude them from the backup. I used xattr to set the attributes:
    xattr -w com.apple.metadata:comapple_backupexcludeItem com.apple.backupd <filename>
    I was not aware of this method for excluding stuff from TM backups. could you provide a link to where you found this?
    I also used this command on the iPhoto thumbnail files.
    I used spotlight to find all of the files with this attribute using this command:
    sudo mdfind "comapple_backupexcludeItem = 'com.apple.backupd'"
    This command returned the iPhoto files, but did not return the Aperture files.
    that's because Spotlight never looks inside packages unless you start a search inside a package directly. iphoto seems to be the only exception. I don't know how it's done.

    Can you connect to a wifi source on the device? Enable wifi in settings on the device itself. If you don't have wifi at home, there may be a local hotspot you can use for this.
    The reason this happens is carriers don't want people downloading huge files that would slow their network as well as eat up your data plan.

  • Why doesn't the stop time option work in videos in itunes?

    I downloaded some music videos into iTunes and some have intor's or crdeits that I wanted to cut out.  I tried using the "Get Info" and changing the start and stop times there.  It will change the start times, but will still play through to the end of the video instead of stopping at the time I had indicated.  When I go back and check, the stop time box is still checked and marked where I want it ... any suggestions?  I just upgraded the iTunes software, thinking maybe that was it, but still a no go.

    It work now.
    I just downloaded OSX 10.9.3 and iTunes 11.2 and one or both of them has fixed the problem.  (Been broken for years).  Have fun

  • ITunes ignores the "stop time" for music videos since 10.6.7 osx update.  Tried with iTunes 10.2.1, 10.2.2, 10.3.  Only way to make it work is to back out to 10.6.6 (time consuming).  Has nobody else noticed this?

    Only a problem with music videos. Normal audio tracks work fine.  Introduced with 10.6.7.  10.6.8 failed to fix it.
    Set the "stop time" of a music video to 10 seconds shorter than the full length and iTunes will still play it to the end.  Very annoying, especially if there's a bunch of noise at the end of a song.

    More info: After I upgraded to 10.6.7, I first noticed the problem.  Downgraded to 10.6.6 and it worked again.  Upgraded to 10.6.8 when it was released to see if this had the issue fixed - but it didn't, iTunes failed to stop on time again (only music videos).
    Just downgraded to 10.6.6 and it still doesn't work!!!  Now I'm really screwed and confused.  HELP!

  • How to Get Duration, Start/Stop Time of Each Instance (Run)

    Can someone tell me how to get the Duration, as well as Execution Start/Stop times for a given run (Instance) of a Report, stored in History?
    For example, on the BO Server in InfoView, I can browse the History of each report, and for each run, I can click the details and view the Duration and Start/Stop times for that run. How do I get that information in Java via the SDK?
    Neither IProcessInfo nor ISchedulingInfo seems to have this information.
    For example, ISchedulingInfo's Start/Stop Times are for general scheduling (when the report will stop being scheduled). That is not what I want.
    I need specific data for a given completed Run, namely its duration and time endpoints. Thanks a lot.

    Hi,
    fetch the instance of the run like this
    IInfoObjects list = infoStore.query(
    "select SI_STARTTIME , SI_ENDTIME From CI_INFOOBJECTS Where SI_ID=<instanceIDtoMeasure>"
    IInfoObject element = list.get(0);
    Date startTime = element.properties().getDate("SI_STARTTIME");
    System.out.println("Beginn "+ startTime);
    Date endTime = element.properties().getDate("SI_ENDTIME" );
    System.out.println("End " + endTime);
    long time = ((endTime.getTime() - startTime.getTime()) / 1000);
    System.out..println("Runtime " + time + " sec");
    You can get the nstanceIDtoMeasure form your Report with getInstances
