How to do "export to excel" the web template charts

Hi friends,
I have a scenario that user want to do export the web template resulted output charts to excel.
We are in WAD 3.5.so we have to write javascript code to do export reluted three charts from three queries .
Can anybody please provide code...I tried many codes available in SDN but nothing worked.

sorry to update you so late, because I can't log on SDN from time to time.
the weird thing is that my peer can upload the picture successfully while I still can't see it in the list.

Ranges to be fixed in web template charts

Dear friends,
I need a help in Web reporting.
While we run the web reports the scale in the chart cant be fixed as because of the values in the report.
I need the have a fixed scale for all the values.
How to make the scales static in the web template charts?
Could some one throw some lights on this?

Hi Sri,
do you mean the scale of the axis? In the WAD choose Edit Chart and go to the corresponding axis. There you can set the minimum and maximum calculation to User Defined and specify your own value.

Export to Excel from WEB - How to restrict amount of data

Hi
We have a standard web template w. the option to export to excel. Is there anyway we can restrict / disable this button if the number of rows in the query/dataprovider is more than X.
The reason why I'm asking is that if one or several users export a large amount of data from our BI portal to a local excel file the portal sometimes crash.

This, can only be achieved by modifying the WEB template which is used at your client.
If its standard template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN , change the logic for the button export to excel and embedded the code to thorogh an error if report output exceeds certain limit.

I have Iphoto (OS 10.8.6) and have heard of exporting pics to the web to obtain a link that I can send to others, using something called 'dropbox' or similar

I have an Imac (OS 10.8.6) and use Iphoto. I have been told of a process of exporting photos to the web by using something called 'drop box' or similar. This is to avoid the complications of attaching multiple photos to a Email by sending only a link on the web to the recipient. Can anyone tell mr how. Please

Steps to follow to create WAD in WEB Template in 3.5 or 7.0 u2026u2026..
Go to All programs and select your web application designer
Select the button to create a new page in WAD
Select the chart and place in the layout
Next goto Data provider Target and select your query
Give your report name in the given data provider screen
Select your query in History/find/Favourites/Infoareas button
Select your query in this screen and click OPEN
Now we can see the data provider is assigned to the chart.
To edit the chart you have to right click on the chart
After right click on it we will find another screen where we can edit all the settings
In this screen we can find NEXT click button to change our settings
In this screen we can state the tasks (Title, units, values, range)
In this screen we can change our background /validity/color
In this screen we can add values to the chart
In this screen we can add validity/positions/order/axis types to the chart
In this screen we can change the global settings/and overview of the chart.
This screen shows that we have customized the chart successfully
After successful creation of the chart we have to save the chart
Save your chart in your favorites by giving the description and technical name in the given block.
Now execute your WAD by selecting the execute button

Hi Nikhil,
When you say that you want to display the name of the template for the container item, I think you are talking about the tray caption for the item - is that correct? You can use a text item to access the web template name, but in the caption of the container item, you cannot specify other web items.
What you can do it to use a group item in the template and embed your container layout in it. In the group item, you have an option of specifying a caption using another web item where you can reference this text item.

Bob's post says it all. Preview ignores the PDF's Initial View setting, and beyond that, it's a horribly unreliable vehicle for accurate viewing of...just about anything. If you're engaged in professional design work, Preview has no legitimate place in your workflow.
