how to do Reconcelation  using excel sheet (placing r/3 data and bw data by using special logic....)

Normally the BW reconcillation with R/3 is done against Information System reports in R/3 . So find out in your specific case what is the Tcode for the R/3 report which is going to be used for reconcilation . Run this Report and download the output in excel ( most probably you would find download options under system/ utilities options in the menu bar ) You could then compare this with the cube output which can be obtained from LISTCUBE tcode in BW
Another way is to compare with PSA data as PSA stores untransformed data . You could crerate a vitual cube on the PSA and model a multiprovider on your cube and this VC and create a Bex report

    Create similar kind of joins which you make after importing physical tables from db.
    There is no difference in making joins in the excel. (both physical and BMM layers).
    But always remember there are many limitations for having excel as database.

    I have commercial experience in migrating Crystal Reports to SSRS. When performing any type of migration it is always wise for the business requirements to be revisited. It is likely that the business requirements may have changed since the Crystal reports
    were initially developed, etc.

    Following our discussion with Gerhard Steinhuber on the very nice tutorial from Horst Schaude , "How to upload mass data via XML File Input" , I am starting this new discussion.
    In the comments section of this previous cited tutorial, Rufat Gadirov explains how to use a generated XML from Eclipse instead of your XSD file as your source in Excel.
    However, in spite of all the instructions, I am still facing the same issue in Excel when I try to save my file as XML : "The XML maps in this workbook are not exportable".
    What I try to do is to create one or more Sales Orders with multiple Items in it from a XML File Input, using excel to enter data.
    The part with the File input is working (if I directly upload my file to the webDAV, it creates a sales order instance with multiple items).
    The only missing part is the Excel data input that I cannot make work. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
    Here is my XML file that I try to use as a source in Excel before inputing data from Excel:

    I suppose that as you have tried to construct a map from the schema, you have taken the elements from the List level down. In this case I also can't export the map.
    But if you take the elements from the level MySalesOrderUploaded down, you'll get the exportable map (screenshots)

    I know how to merge multiple Excel files in a folder using M (those guides are all over the web) but how do I merge multiple Excel files with multiple (yet identically named and ordered) tabs? Surely it is possible? I just don't know how to do it in M.

    What Laurence says is correct, and probably the best thing to do when the sheets have differing structures. Here is an alternate approach that works well when the sheets all have the same structure.
    When you first open the Excel file from Power Query, you can see its structure in the navigator at the right-hand-side of the screen. If you select the root (which is the filename itself) and click Edit, you'll see all the tabs in the sheet as a single table.
    You can now do filtering based on the Name, Item and Kind values. When you've reduced the set of things down to the sheets you want, select the Data column and say "Remove Other Columns". If the sheets don't have any header rows, you can just click the expand
    icon in the header and you'll be done.
    Otherwise, if the sheets have headers or if some other kind of sheet-level transformation is required against each sheet before doing a merge, you'll have to write some M code manually. In the following example, each sheet has a header row consisting of
    two columns: Foo and Bar. So the only step I need to perform before merging is to promote the first row into a header. This is done via the Table.TransformColumns operation.

    If you would like to create a package/procedure in order to solve this problem consider using the UTL_FILE in built package, here are a few steps to get you going:
    1. Get your DBA to create directory object in oracle using the following command:

    Note: This directory is on the server.
    2. Grant read,write on directory directory_object_name to username;
    You can find out the directory_object_name value from dba_directories view if you are using the system user account.
    3. Logon as the user as mentioned above.
