I imagine you would like to synchronize business partner data, which are created in backend, into SRM.
you can use Tcode BBPGETVD or BBPUPDVD or run/schedule bbp_vendor_sync (need customizing).

Searching in business partner master data (properties and contact persons)

Hello,
concerning the need of a customer i am asking for a optimizing of the search in business partner master data.
It should be possible by a soon coming patch to have the tabs properties and contact persons available in the search modus.
I hope this is a functionality which SAP looks on like a nice and essential function, too, and can integrate this in a soon coming patch.
The customer is running SAP B1 2005A PL39
The same funktion concerning the properties would be great at the item master data.
This post is concerning the sap support message 842328 / 2008.

Hi Susana,
The current system maximum properties are 64. You cannot define more.
However, as an alternate you can check the "Group" in the Business Partner Master Data and then can define different Properties for different Group of Business Partners.
Check this if any help in your case.

Mass Update of Business Partner Data in CRM

Hi,
I would like to know how I can perform a mass update of business partner data in CRM and then have this replicated into R/3.
I have found notes 802804, 876602, 859632 but these only apply to CRM 5.0 and we are currently working on CRM 4.0. Does anyone know of anything similar which exists in CRM 4.0?
I have checked other posts and found help files links like the one below but is this only on CRM 5.0? (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/3c/9b56fae6c7424cafcdf17370399812/frameset.htm )
Has anyone used the tx. MASS in CRM?
Also our volume update levels is as high as 300,000 record and updating in CRM and replicating into R/3 through the middleware is causing performance problems.
Does anyone have any tips on the best approach for this? Many thanks.

Mass not available in 4.0, could write your own LSMW routine but you still will create bdocs for updates so not sure how that will improve your performance.

How can I identify a business partner as rented address in WebUI?

if you create business partners for a rented external list, then they are flagged as Rented Address in the business partner master data.
How can I identify a business partner as rented address in WebUI? What is the relevant field?

Post Business Partner data from SBL CRM to SAP CRM

I am very new to SAP CRM. I have got an assignment wherein I will get the XML file from Siebel CRM, which will contain the "Business Partner" data.
I need to upload this data into SAP CRM by mapping all the fields available in the XML file.
Please let me know the step by step process to reach the goal.

Sandeep, since this is a conversion related task you might want to browse http://sap.help.com and search for the so called 'XIF Adapter'. This adapter is part of SAP CRM's Middleware and provides the functionality to import and export individual objects using XML/SOAP technology.
Second option you could evaluate is BP creation through the usage of the standard BADI's that SAP delivers. Let me know whether this gets you started, Tiest.

Enhancement of Business Partner (Relationships) using BDT -Bus Data Toolset

Dear Experts,
I have a requirement from my customer enhancing the Business Partner Relationships using BDT.
I should add 2 fields namely salary, employer start date in the Business partner Relationships, it must be added in the characteristics of relationships as one employee can have multiple employers and vice versa.
If I would like to add the fields in Business Relationships using BDT, are the steps same as adding fields in business partner? or do we need to perform any other steps? Did someone already did this type of modification, please provide your suggestions.
After adding the fields is it possible to cusomize the fields for history of the changes? e.g. if salary field has been newly added and after creating a BP after some days I want to change the salary and for the changed salary I want to have a history.
I would appreciate if you can help me with your suggestions.

Distribution of Business Partner Data

I'm trying to determine the best method of distributing business partner data from R/3 to CRM via XI.
Under CRM 5.0 help for Distribution of Business Partner Data, there are two ways given for distributing business partner data.
1. Replication by means of the SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (XI).
2. Distribution via the ALE/IDoc interfaces.
Does anyone have an opinion on which method is best? Method 1 obviously goes through XI, but I'm not sure about method 2.
We won't be using CRM middleware, so that's not an option. We do need to implement XI.

Migration of Business Partner data, from a legacy system, does not work

Hi All,
We use a non-SAP application where our customers sign a loyalty program. The database created is replicated to CRM 7.0. However, when we create the Target Group in the Web Client UI, the number of Business Partner in CRM is different from the number of BP registered in the legacy system.

Entering Business Partner data from IC Webclient - CRM2007

Just wanted to check that if I enter Business partner data from the IC Webclient is the data stored in the CRM backend tables for example BUT000, BUT050 etc and if so is this done on the fly or a scheduled update? If not what tables are they stored in. Also can I see the same information once it is entered in the webclient via the CRM transaction BP Thanks

The tables are the same (for example: but000 for master partner data, but050 for relations, and so on...).
The data is updated when you press the respective save button, or when you press the 'end' button at telephony bar (to end an Interaction Center Interaction).
And yes, you can then check the information in BP t-code.

How to Remove Business Partner Address using DI Server

I need to remove Business Partner Addresses using DI Server, the example in the SDK only mentions the remove of the entire business partner, but I need to delete only one of the business partner addresses, how can it be done?

the usage of the "UpdateWithSubDeletion" method of B1 object atom might be an option.
You need to update the complete business Partner with the changed amount of addresses.
The usage is tricky, you need to retrieve the BP, which you want to update, first via synchronous retrieval method using import/export mode.
From the retrieval result you should start to update every segment with all fields including the BPAddresses segment in exactly the same sorting order as displayed from the synchronous retrieval.

Just to add what Dianne has said, whenever you are carrying out any configuration/ customising, you have to test all the related scenarios. For this you have to take help of the End Users who are in a better position to carry out this testing. If the affecting modules like FI, MM, SD, are many, then you also have to see how the cross-module enties are flowing.

Do you mean that you would like to check if the user has the authorization to create a relationship, or change the validity of the relationship?
As per SAP architecture, authorizations are assigned to users, not business partners.
Business partners, could be assigned to users, who in turn have authorizations. This is typically seen for business partners, with the role, Employee.
