How to do the configuration management on Oracle SOA suite?

Hi,
If I have a lot of service, I use the word and access to keep it. Has the oracle soa suite good way to do it?
Thanks!

  • How to run SSO registration tool in Oracle SOA Suite 10g

    Hi,
I want to enable SSO for applications running in SOA Suite.
All the documentation discuss about enabling OSSO in Oracle Infrastructure or Oracle Identity Server but not for SOA Suite.
The biggest issue is SOA Suite doesnot has ORASSO application in it, so please guide me how to implement O-SSO in SOA Suite.

When you refer to the SOA suite, are you talking about the HTTP Server and OC4J or the BPEL products?
For HTTP server and OC4J, implementation is done like that of a AS10g middle tier. You need to run the SSO registration tool and configure the containers to use SSO. To do this you need to have a IDM 10.1.4 installed somewhere else.

  • Complex human task route management in Oracle SOA Suite

Hello. I am struggling to implement a complex role/route model for a human task. Maybe somebody will give me some advice?
    I need to:
Assign a task to least busy user (this is easily done in Assigment UI for Human Tasks)
If user rejects the task it should be forwarded to the next least busy user in the same group (I have not found a method to implement highlited condition)
If all users in group rejected the task it should be escalated to supervisor (user with a special role; Again, I am having problems with implementing highlited condition)
Thanks in advance for your answers!

It has to be one window before the installation start (during the wizard), and in this windows is for the OC4J that will be used for the Administration, and there is a box that says something about Make this my default OC4J and also in this page will ask for the password for the oc4jadmin user, if you dont check this box, you wont be able to access the EM console.
Can you clarify you checked this box?
    Greetings.

  • Oracle SOA Suite in the cloud ?

    Greetings,
I'm looking for an AMI hosting the full, more recent Oracle SOA Suite. Does it exist something like that ?
    Kind regards,
    Nicolas DUMINIL

The intention is to help others and learn by helping others.
From the above post, oracle have announced that their post is obsolete.
So you can get the required information from amazon site.
    http://aws.amazon.com/console/
    Thats what i meant.
    Check the AMI section.

  • Error Installing Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.1

    Hi Gurus,
I was in the process of installing Oracle SOA suite 10.1.3.1 on Windows 2003, the installer seemed to take a lot of time at the 92% point, a closer examination that was the point at which the opmnctl was starting the services. • Oracle SOA suite 11.1.1.2

    Hi All,
I have been using following tools on windows developing soa applications.
    Jdeveloper 11g
    Oracle Soa suite 11g
    Weblogic server 10.1.3
    Soa server
I am going good with all these on windows. able to create bpel processes and able to deploy and run on soa/weblogic server.
Now, I want to install same setup on Mac book pro.
Can anyone please guide me how it is going to be different on Mac compared to what I have been always doing on windows ?
Difference in terms of installation files, version issues if any. Does the same installation files work for Mac as well (since its Java - I am guessing it is same for all platforms including Mac). pl correct me with valuable inputs.
    thanks,
    pp

Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.2 is the Patchset released for Oracle SOA Suite 11gR1. It includes new features like SOA Composer.
It is a production ready version only else it would be mentioned as BETA or something. I haven't faced any issues with adapters there.
You can install the software, test your apps, make sure it works before adopting it.

  • Integration with PeopleSoft Applications Using Oracle SOA Suite 11g BPEL

    Hi,
I'm integrating BPEL with Peoplesoft FSCM 9.0 Application on tools 8.49 using Oracle SOA Suite 11g. The BPEL invokes the web service method generated from Peoplesoft Component Interface in a synchronuos manner.
I have deployed the BPEL in Oracle SOA Suite 11g using Jdeveloper successfully but I have problem in configuring the BPEL node in Peoplesoft side using Oracle SOA Suite 11g(FMW) . I had done the integration of BPEL with Peoplesoft FSCM 9.0 on tools 8.49 using Oracle SOA Suite 10g earlier successfully by configuring BPEL node properties as follows:
BPEL CONSOLE : http://Host Name:8888/BPELConsole (System with Oracle SOA Suite 10g server for deployment)
    BPEL DOMAIN : default
Using this BPEL node configuration, I was able to ping the BPEL console of Oracle SOA Suite 10g from peoplesoft and hence complete the integration successfully.
Now in order to acomplish Business rules and other functionality, the BPEL application has been developed in Oracle SOA Suite 11g using Jdeveloper 11g. This time I'm not able to configure the BPEL node in Peoplesoft for this integration as I'm assuming there is no separate BPEL console in Oracle SOA Suite 11g. All the BPEL deployments are administered in console (11g console used for deployment of BEPL)
http://Host Name:7001/em (System with Oracle SOA Suite 11g server - Fusion Middleware).
So when I Configured the BPEL node property in Peoplesoft as :
BPEL CONSOLE : http://Host Name:7001/em (System with Oracle SOA Suite 11g server for deployment)
    BPEL DOMAIN : default
I'm not able to ping the Peoplesoft BPEL node to the Oracle SOA Suite 11g. Hence I'm not able to proceed with my integration.
When I searched the OTN discussion forum on BPEL console for Oracle SOA Suite 11g, all threads point that there is no separate BPEL console unlike Oracle SOA Suite 10g. Also most of the articles for Integration with Peoplesoft Application using SOA 11g do not state any specific configuration setting for property of Peoplesoft BPEL node in order to integrate with BPEL 11g. The examples published in OTN still point towards screen shots of integration using SOA Suite 10g.
So I'm not able to proceed in this regard.
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Girish

    typo error

    Hi,
I found this document from the Oracle Open World 2009 (maybe you have found it too) :
"Integration with PeopleSoft applications using oracle soa suite 11g BPEL" --> [http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/fmw4apps/peoplesoft/pdf/oow2009-bpel-psft.pdf]
And this could be a little more simple, but have a good step-by-step tutorial.
I think you must read this docs by now, but never come amiss.
    Hope this can help you,
By the way, if you can help me with this I'll appreciate it a lot.

  • JMS custom headers in Oracle SOA suite 11g

    Hi,
Can any body expalin me how to implement JMS custom headers in Oracle SOA suite. Please help
    Thanks,
    Kumar

    Kumar,
It is jca.jms.JMSProperty which is used to set and get custom JMS headers. So if you want to set two custom JMS headers say Test1 and Test2 then add them as a property in your invoke action as below -
    <invoke name="InvokeTest"
    inputVariable="InvokeTest_Produce_Message_InputVariable"
    partnerLink="test" portType="ns2:Produce_Message_ptt"
    operation="Produce_Message" bpelx:invokeAsDetail="no">
    <bpelx:inputProperty name="jca.jms.JMSProperty.Test1" variable="testA"/>
    <bpelx:inputProperty name="jca.jms.JMSProperty.Test2" expression="'foo'"/>
    </invoke>
Here we have assigned value of variable testA into custom JMS header Test1 and expression "foo" into custom JMS header Test2.

How to setup the SMTP server in Oracle Apps? Is it mandatory to keep the SMTP server on the same host where the Oracle data base is installed? No, it is not mandatory. Also please note that the mails are sent out from concurrent manager mode. Not from the database node.
Also can someone help how we can set up the SMTP server on different host (not the Database server) and we can use the same for Workflow notification mailer.

It depends on the operating system you are using. If you are using *nix then sendmail needs to be configured.

  • Software Configuration Management of Oracle eBS

    Hi All
I am setting up a standard configuration management, build & deployment automation and change & release management process for all types of applications including Oracle eBS, Informatica, Siebel, Cognos, Java etc. As you know, SCM for Java and .Net types of applications are very matured, but not for other types of applications such as Oracle eBS.
Can you give me some hint on how to manage Oracle eBS applications from SCM's perspective? For example,
    1. How to version control eBS artifacts?
    2. How to build eBS artifacts and then deploy to a new environment?
    3. How to manage changes?
We have a standard SCM tool called RTC from IBM, which has version control, build and change control functions.
    Thanks
    Jirong

    Hello Jirong,
I did a lot in the configuration management area related to EBS, in terms of concepts and practical implementations.
I would suggest that you take a look at the following material and afterwards, please contact me to clarify any question you might have.
    https://blogs.oracle.com/ebs_customization_management/
In terms of technical solutions, I have worked a lot with Oracle AMS (ACMP), different consulting solutions, but also with non-commercial tools. So we will find a solution also together with RTC/IBM.
You can find me in linkedin.

  • Version and Configuration Management in Oracle Portal

    Hello ...
How is version and configuration management applied to real-life, large Oracle Portal applications, where e. g. both development, test, and production environments are used?
The build-in version management in Oracle Portal is inadequate for such environments.
Any suggestions, opinions, ... on this matter would be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Poul

In my opinion, Portal has a lot of work to do in terms of configuration and change management. If you are using Portal as an application platform, as opposed to KM, you are better of developing java portlets, so that you can use the SCM with JDeveloper and stay away from the application components. If you do want to use the components, then application export/import is the only way. You can setup your own procedures for handling the exported files (version etc).
You don't really version KM apps. Content is meant to be posted and otherwise administered by content area admins and users. It is not a "application", that must be change managed. There are versioning features available at the item level, which is adequate (but by no means a complete versioning system. Use iFS if you want that).
I have heard quite a few horror stories about exporting and importing content areas.
A 3-system Portal landscape, in my opinon, is overkill and trying to fit an existing approach to a new tool. A test/dev and a production Portal might be more palatable to the IT budget.
    My 2.5 cents
