How to do these effects in this video

Hi, I've been trying to emulate some of the effects found in this video using final cut pro and after effects. Many of them though are difficult to accomplish. I was wondering if anyone had any tips.

I don't know the guy but the promo had the feel of a canned set of effects. Lots of event and wedding photographers buy canned transitions. Try google for "Effects for Apple Motion." There are many suppliers. Of course, he may have been using any of several image assembly platforms that cater to that niche like Vegas or Casablanca.

Complete Novice-Need to know how to replicate these effects

Hey,
I am currently making some instructional videos for work where we help disabled students with computer software. I write all the scripts, get the audio done and create the videos but used to get another guy to produce them and add the finishing touches. He no longer works for us and I desperatly need to get more done but can't figure out how.
It is the transitions and effects on the video etc. that I can't figure out. I have attached a sample of what I am talking about. It is the transition from the logo to the video that I need to know as well as how to get the logo in the bottom of the screen and the title of the video coming up then fading out. More than happy to pay for this knowledge as I have loads of these to do.
Please have a look at the sample and let me know if you can help me. Much appreciated.

It looks like a 'zoom blur' transition,
but from the looks of it, my guess is that it was done inside a motion graphics program... probably After Effects.
There is no default transition like this premier pro but there are 3rd party plugins that may offer this transition (as well as many others...)

The last transition listed on FxFactory Pro is a 'Zoom dissolve' which looks exactly what your after ...but unfortunately they are only compatible with after effects at the moment

In this video (Link above) there are some sort of color explosion effects done on pedals of a flower which occur from 1:05 to about 2 minutes in the video. I am wondering if this was done with final cut and if not if it is possible to do in final cut. Thanks

just read the description:

as you can see obvously, the explosions are projected onto the flowers - you see, the 'mapping' is 3-dimensional, incl. depth of field ... so, no Motion, no editing - 'simple' mechanically optics, point your old Super8-projector onto a bunch of flowers
(many James Bond title sequences were accomplished with that technique in the 60ies, 70ies .... )

Those are fairly simple moves that you can do right in FCP, or Motion ... or After Effects. Also, there are MANY programs on the market that will automate the process for you.

You may try and create overlays with raster images using opacity masks. Also try the blending modes.

How do I change effects in 'Altered Video' timeline in Photoshop CS6?

I added a filter to my video but it only lasts for a few frames. There are little marks shown where I added it in the Altered Video section of the timeline.
How do I apply a filter or effect to the entire clip?
Also when I ad a filter such as Lens Correction, it only lasts for a few frames..How do I get it to remain?

Typical film damage effects. You can purchase footage to overlay or you can fake it with blurred shape layers and blend modes.
Scratches are also just film damage effects. There are a ton of tutorials and a bunch of stock film damage clips you can purchase.

You can do this - by not doing it the way You describe as it will not work.
a. the external hard disk - MUST BE - Mac OS extended (hfs) formatted -
UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange - will work for most things - BUT NOT FOR VIDEO (iMovie, iDVD or FinalCut doesn't matter)
b. Do not alter or move any folder named
• iMovie Event's - or -
• iMovie Project's
on DeskTop/Finder - at all
All moving's of Events and Projects must be done within the iMovie Application - then connections will not break.
(move them back and see if iMovie remembers them - then do move as described above)

This looks like the final logo was created with several layers probably in Illustrator, then the file was most likely imported into After Effects and revealed by animating mask paths.

Assuming you are using iTunes 11.1:
Connect your iPhone to your computer.
In iTunes towards the upper right of your screen you will see the name of your iPhone. Click on it (not the eject symbol.
This will open a series of windows with tabs.
Select the tab for photos.
Untick the ones you do not want on your iPhone and at the bottom right click on Apply.
They will be removed.

I have completed the slideshow using a tool called,PhotoStage Slideshow Producer, with a bunch of 60 images. Now i want to add a small video effect in the beginning of the slideshow to make it look more professional. I want something really simple and i want to add it in between different images for some effect. I may be asking in the wrong forum, again. Can Adobe’s Premiere Pro do it , or is there some other simple program that can make these kind of effect. Thank you.

Might be able to create it with Filter > Render > Clouds with your foreground and background colors set to the lighter and darker versions of your selected color. Then you might need to use Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur to smooth things out

Search the web for "digital glitch" or "digital noise". A simple technique woul be using the Time Displacment effect with a pattern created by the Mosaic effect....
