How to double-click on ipad

hello, does someone know how to make double-click with ipad?
thanks

There is no double-click per se. A double tap is it.
If no change when pressing/holding on the text, I suggest contacting the app developer regarding how to accomplish what you are being asked to do.

    When I double click my IPAD screen I have apps at the bottom how can I remove them?

    If you are running iOS 6 or iOS 5, those apps are the recently used apps in the recents tray. You don't need to remove then from there, but if you want to do so, you have to close them. You do that by holding down on one of the app icons until they all wiggle, then tap the red minus sign to close the app. Do that to every app that you want to close. Tap the home button when you are done.

  • How to double click to open an email on Comcast Smartzone?

    On the Comcast Smartzone website, there is a list of received emails. On a computer with a mouse, an email is opened by double clicking on it with the left mouse button. How can this be accomplished with the iPad touch interface?
    Thanks, Don

    You can't compare "normal Windows" software to iPad apps in the first place if that's what you mean. Two totally different things - computer software and iPad apps. And you are trying to implement a task that's meant to be performed on a computer within a web browser when you are using SmartZone. You can do it to a degree but with limitations.
    If you want to open the email in SmartZone, just lightly touch the message in the list. No double click is required. The emails will open and you can read them on the iPad. I do that sometimes but like I said, it is so slow to respond on the iPad. SmartZone was designed for use sometime in 2007 (?) long before the iPad was around.
    And, I also agree that the lite version is so much better for the iPad. You can change to the lite version by going to your preferences, choose general and select SmartZone Lite.

  • Double click on ipad

    Hi,
    We are working on an ipad application, but it don't support double click event.
    We need to implement double click or long click in it.
    One suggestion is to have a mouse down event and mouse up event and calculated the time between but we are having a large number of objects where we need to add this event.
    Please suggest if there is any other solution for this.
    Thanks ------ Amit Kanda

    Why not just set up your Comcast email account in the included Mail application? Much better than trying to use webmail designed for mouse input.

  • How to right click, how to right click in ipad

    Does anyone know how to "Right Click" on an ipad. Are there possible keyboard controls.

    Tap and hold is the iOS equivalent to right-click. No, there are not any keyboard controls for this.

  • How? double click to edit a cell in a JTable (Custom Editor/TableModel)

    I have a JTable with a custom table model that when you click anything in the first column a custom editor appears. I would like to know how to make the custom editor appear after a double click on any cell in the first column. It can probably be done with a MouseListener but is there any easier way to do this?
    Thanks.

    this works for me.
    public class MyJcustomEditor extends DefaultCellEditor {
    public MyJcustomEditor(JTextField tField) {
    super(tField);
    setClickCountToStart(2);
    }

  • Double click on button in ipad

    I have buttons with simple animation. They works well in any browser and mobiles. Only problem is on ipad: you have to touch twice! The first touch starts the animation (on mouse over), the second one goes to the page (on click). (Android goes immediately to the page without animation and it's ok for me).
    How to avoid this?
    Could help if I use: "on click: window.open("gallery/gallery.html", "_self"); " and "touchstart: window.open("gallery/gallery.html", "_self");" ?? Maybe this can avoid the "mouseover" action?
    My button is a symbol with four png making an animation. Into the simbol there are 2 commands: mouseover: sym.play("go"); - mouseout: sym.stop ("in");
    The simbol on the stage have this command: click: window.open("gallery/gallery.html", "_self");
    Just a simple button, I think ...

    Ok, I reply to myself. It works. Adding "touschstart" it avoids the double click on ipad and ipod.

  • The voice that was on when I first set up my ipad came back on and now I have to double click to get into my apps and can't use my apps because her voice is always talking.  How do I make her voice go away and my IPAD work like it should.

    The voice that was on when I first set up my ipad came back on and now I have to double click to get into my apps and can't use my apps because her voice is talking.  How do I make the voice stop and my IPAD work again.

    If you've turned VoiceOver on then see if triple-clicking the home button turns it off, and then change what Settings > General > Accessibility > Triple-Click Home is set to.
    Otherwise, via 'the touch to select double-tap to activate' process you need to go into Settings > General > Accessibility > VoiceOver and turn it off
    The manual (http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipad) also says that you should be able to switch voice-over off by connecting to your computer's iTunes :
    Turn VoiceOver on or off in iTunes: Select iPad in the iTunes sidebar. In the Options section of the Summary pane, click Configure Universal Access. Select VoiceOver, then click OK.
    So select Configure Universal Access at the bottom of the Summary tab and set Seeing to Neither

    Now you swipe downward, the app will appear and you delete, keep scolling to the right as in the past.  With the new operating system you also swipe downward to get the search bar to find an app

  • If I got one of the free books off of Itunes, how do I read it? I double click and it does nothing. Is it only to hook up to Iphones or Ipads?

    I got one of the free books of Itunes and I'm wondering how I read it.  I double click and nothing happens.  Is it only for Ipads and Iphones??

    If you have one of the public-domain books provided by Project Gutenberg (these are books published many years ago and which have therefore fallen out of copyright, such as the Dickens and Jane Austin books), you should be able to open it using Calibre:
    http://calibre-ebook.com/
    or one of the other applications that can open ePub format. Launch the app and point it to the book file, which will be in your iTunes folder, in iTunes Music (Media) -> Books.

    I have an email application i.e web application working fine in desktops, in that application if i will double click on the mail that mail will be open, and after opening that mail if i will right click on the mail it will show the different functionality .
    But i cant do that in ipad, is there solution to this problem ????

    I understand what you have and what you want. However, the iPad is not a desktop computer. What you want may not be possible. The developer may have already created an app specifically for the iPad. Have you checked the App Store?

  • I updated my iPad to ios 7.1, and now I can't double click on the home button to switch between apps, or to close them. What happened? How can I fix this?

    I can't double click on the home button to switch between apps, or to close them. This happened after I updated to ios 7.1

    Swiping up from the bottom of the screen with four fingers did not bring up the app preview. A single press on the home button still brings me back to the home screen, but a double press of the home button does nothing following updating to 7.1   Given that, when I added a software home button as suggested by DIAVONEX, I found that all of the apps WERE still open! So thank you DIAVONEX, and you should be careful, bobseufert, as your information was inaccurate.( I did try turning it off and that didn't change anything. ) I don't really want a software home button on my screen, but I guess I will use it until either there is another update to resolve this glitch or someone else identifies a quirky setting that I inadvertently activated...

In previous version of ISO it was easy to turn-off the opened apps by double clicking on home button and then click and hold on respective apps then click on cross sign but in this version I could not do so and my iPad appears slower.

    Close inactive apps
    1. Double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking view
    2. Swipe the app's windows upwards to close
    3. The app will fly off the screen

    Greetings,
    I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
    At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
    The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
    I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
    You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
    Good Luck - Cheers,
    M.
