I now can't use three programs I desperately need since my upgrade. How do I downgrade back to 10.6? The disk that came with my iMac won't let me load the old system. HELP please!

I've just downgraded my old 3G to 3.1.3 before giving it to my girlfriend. While I was quite happy with iOS4, I did note that a few minor things were a little slower (mainly SMS), and she hammers this feature so I thought it best to hand over the device on 3.1.3.
Downgrading was incredibly easy, it's actually a fairly trivial task if you follow one of the many excellent guides. The entire thing only took about 1 hour, from first reading the article to the phone being at the "connect to itunes" screen on 3.1.3.
Just google "lifehacker iphone 3g downgrade", and you should get the same article I used.
The annoying thing is, she's now wanting to upgrade it to iOS4 herself because she wants folder. I shouldn't of even bothered downgrading it. lol.

However, there has to be a possibility to downgrade to ios6 - otherwise the guys from Apple wouldn't have advised me to do so.
Beside of all the problems I have withe the new ios it also looks childish designwise and lot of of things like handling was much better with ios 6.

I upgraded my system to Yosemite the other night. I saw a lot of changes especially in style. I like the blurry background and the minimal logos BUT THE COLORS. Too colorful. The folder colors, too bright. I feel like this is the worst OS ever. My Macbook became slow as ****, I see the spinning wheel of death everywhere, everything loads so slow even the volume and brightness that pops when you press those buttons!
I can't stick with this slow piece of crap. How do I downgrade back to Mavericks? Yosemite is stylish okay, okay I get it but it's slow as **** and I'm not even using half of the memory of my laptop.

It's worth pointing out that you'll find many threads here saying the same thing after upgrading to Mavericks, and how to downgrade to Mountain Lion.
In short: the problem may not be the OS itself. Most cases of slowness are due to incompatible third-party software, usually LaunchAgents that load at startup and run in the background.
Make sure you know what you have installed, and make sure all of it is up to date.
Two simple tests: Try booting into Safe Boot mode. Any better?
Try logging into a brand new user account. Any better?
These tests can tell you where the source of any problem lies.

I'm sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS. Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums, but you can use Google to find information on how to install an older version of iOS on any iDevice.

Restart your phone as you were told. Hold the power and home button until the Apple logo appears.
If you are not willing to take that step as you were told then don't bother seeking additional help.

ok, her it's
1-uninstall Itunes 10.4, go to itunes folder and copy the library file to a safe place
2-from the folder named previouse libraries, copy the nearst library file (date is shown) to the itunes folder and replace the 10.4 library file with the one you just copied, remove the date from the file name
3- finally install the 10.3 and you are back to the earlier version.
PS. the most reacent music may not be read but it will still be in you i tumes music folder.

Ok, let me tell you what I tried to do. Restore through Itunes didnt work, got a lot of errors mainly pointing to hardware issues. I once managed to get it jailbroken through a friend, and then asked him to reset it completely so I could restore it in Itunes again (I had no compulsive intention to remain jailbroken then, I wish I had not reset it and continued using it in jailbroken mode).So I have just one choice left now...jailbreak. I am just looking for a reply from Apple before I go ahead with jailbreak.Wonder how long my patience will last, 3 days and 4th starting.

OK. You did not provide that information before. So my previous post was a waste of time. You will need to purchase recovery media from HP. If you had recovery media available and selected factory image recover, it would delete and recreate partitions on the boot drive not the secondary hard disk.

No. Reset or refresh will only refresh to the current Windows 8.1 operating system

At advice of Spriint tech support, I upgraded my new BB 3 G to the 6.0 os and am not happy. I was running my old BB on 5.0 I lost contacts in the transition, cannot delet any messages from email on the new machine and have spent 6 hours with support ato no avail. Well, I really don't know the MAC software at all...we have a whole forum dedicated just to that. It is my understanding that the MAC software offers whatever your carrier supports, and only what they support. From the official download portal, Sprint goes all the way back to 5.0.0.913. Unfortunately, those download packages are only usable on PC, not on MAC. I suggest you perhaps ask folks in the MAC forum for thoughts and ideas:
