How to downgrade from ios 8.0.2

how come there is no way to downgrade from ios 8.0.2 to ios 7 !!! i don't think its legal from apple to close the way back
but let me ask may be there is something i don't know
is there any way back to ios 7.1.2 ????
thanks
kh

There is no way to downgrade. Apple probably doesn't allow it because then people would downgrade a lot. People rarely like the new update when they download it. Also, Apple doesn't support past iOS things…So if someone is on iOS 3, Apple wouldn't support fixing problems or whatever (if I remember right).
So, sadly there is no way to downgrade. Sorry!

A handful of people scream about every update that is ever put out. It is the nature of technology and blame. Perhaps try addressing your issue instead of blaming yet another update. you would never had of installed 8.2 if you took these forums as any true representation of iOS users.

How to downgrade from iOS 8.1.1 to ios 7.1.2

I think the best iOS version for iPad mini 1st gen was 7.1.2.
I use my iPad with music production software and still it was on 7.1.2 I got no problems, but now I'm in trouble using AudioBus for memory problems when I record to a DAW. Synth softwares are laggy, many crack here and there, like it has no more power to reproduce all the voices I need.
Really the only way is the jailbreak? 8.1.1 is not optimized for older devices: the update had to be not released through iTunes.
    Bye.

  • How to downgrade from iOS 8.1 to 7.1.2 for iPhone 5 ?

    Dear Experts
How to downgrade from iOS 8.1 to 7.1.2 for iPhone 5 ?
The situation is that in Hong Kong, I bought the iPhone 5 for my mainland China friend.
The seller said that the iPhone 5 was brand new and was come from USA.
I found that iPhone 5 was in iOS 8.1. I wonder that why brand new iPhone 5 would be installed in iOS8.1?
My friend finds that the response of iPhone 5 is so late.
He prefers to downgrade to iOS 7.1.2.
    Please reply.
    Thank you
    Regards
    Lawrence

You can't downgrade from iOS 8.0.2 to iOS 7.0.4 any more, because Apple has closed the access to verify iOS 7.0.4.

You don't. There is no supported way to downgrade iOS. Attempting to do so will void any warranty, forfeit all rights to support, and could very well brick the phone.

How to Downgrade from iOS 6 to iOS 5.1.1?

I'm sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS. Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums, but you can use Google to find information on how to install an older version of iOS on any iDevice.

    How to DOWNGRADE?

Downgrading is not possible. If clearing the fingerprint and re-entering doesn't fix the problem, try the usual steps: restart, reset, restore.

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
If you try restoring from a backup and that doesn't fix the problem, try restoring to factory settings and, if the problem goes away, then synching your apps. You'll lose the app data and settings, but if the problem is due to a corrupt cache or settings file, that should cure it.
If none of that helps, your device may have developed a hardware fault and will need to be take or sent to Apple.

no iOS device since the first iphone back in 2007 ever officially supported downgrade of iOS version
if you wish apple to change that

would not hold my breath though keeping support for just 2 current versions of a operating systems more the double the resources you spend

  • HT1414 how to downgrade from iOS 8 to iOS 7

Since i was updated to iOS 8 i face a problem of blank screen during unlocking
So i would like to downgrade to iOS 7 again

I was getting this same behavior with 8.0x on an iPhone 4S but not with our iPads.
What seems to help is using the top switch to close the unlock screen then press it again to get the unlock screen back.
When I do that the lock screen has all of its features and is responsive again.
I don't believe I've seen this happen since 8.1 but don't make me swear in court to it.
Alas, you can only downgrade iOS for a limited time "officially" as Apple invalidates the needed files after a while, and that while is getting shorter with every release.  Some sites warehouse the needed files.

  • How to Downgrade from ios 5 back to ios 4?

Hey guys. I am trying to downgrade my iPod from the new ios 5 back to the ios 4 version. I have looked up videos on how to do it on youtube.com. The videos that i have watched so far all require a specific download. I'm pretty sure this is what it's called: iPod1,1_1.1.4_4A102_Restore. Well I have already downloaded it. They also said i have to go to my iTunes. Plug in my iPod Touch to my laptop. and put my iTouch in DFU mode and that's what I did. They said to click the name of your iPod and while holding shift on the keyboard click restore on the iPods name page on iTunes. So i did that and it tells me to pick a file. I did that as well and i clicked the download that i was talking about before iPod one. So i chose that one as it says to in the videos. and on theirs it says Restoring iPod Touch and it downgrades it back to the 4.3.3 but when i do it it says specifically this, "The iPod "iPod" can not be restored because the firmware file is not compatible." and i dont know what that means nor do i know how to make it compatible. That's basically all i need to know, basically how to fix that error. Please help. I am going to Texas and i really want to turn it back before i go on my trip. Thanks guys. I really appreciate it.

It would probably be a whole lot easier to just explain what problems you are having with iOS 5 than try to downgrade and risk getting stuck in a restore loop.
