How to downgrade Pages app on ipad mini ?

Firstly, I find the typography, design and colour scheme very poor from a usability and readability point of view and would prefer to move back to ios6 !!!
My iPhones will remain on iOS 6 and I will NOT upgrade to Mavrick.
Unfortunately, I updated the Apple Pages ( and numbers app.) only to find that I could no longer synchronize with my ios6 versions of pages nor withnOSX10.8
I tried deleting Pages from the iPad and resynchronising with the MacBook Pro but the ios7 version of Pages installed on the ipad mini...
Question: how can I go back a version of Pages on the iPad??

Thank you. This brought me the solution. I, somehow, manged to do the same with Numbers, the second time I tried. I removed Numbers 2.0 and put back Numbers 1.7.3.ipa. I clicked on it and it said :" Replacing a newer version by the old version.". However, 1.7.3 no longer appears in my list of Mobile applications: there must be another directory soewhere that I can not see ! The library ? Thanks anyway.
I only wish APPLE would STOP asking me to download the UPDATEevery time I open PAGES or NUMBERS !!

Why is the Pages app for iPad Mini not working?

For the last few days I have been having major issues with the word processing application Pages for the iPad. It is taking a very long time to show me my documents, then it takes just as long to open up documents. Then when it finally opens up the document I have selected; the entire functionality is extremely slow and sluggish.
I turned the iPad on and off several times to see if that would help. I deleted the pages app. I even freed up some extra space on the iPad. None of these things have resolved anything.
If it is at all relevant I am using the most recent version of Pages (especially since I re-downloaded it). I am also using the latest version of iOS 8 on the iPad. My iPad is synched to iCloud. I have a maximum storage capacity of 20 gb (to which I have only used 675 kb). I am using the first generation iPad Mini (which is the very first iPad mini)
What could be the problem?
Should I reset the factory settings of the entire iPad? I'm at a loss of how to resolve this.

The problem may be due to slow internet access to icloud where the document is being stored and saved.
Try creating a new document which is not on iCloud to see how the performance is.

I have to use a template report for my job- which other people with normal sized iPads also use- I use pages to convert the word doc - which contains writing and boxes - I complete the report and send it back to work, when they open it all the writing can't be seen down the right hand side, so I'm having to write three words per line in each box so they can read it when they open it, this is not ideal and wondered if its the iPad mini that can't cope ? Wondering weather to get the standard size iPad although I don't really want to do that.
I also need a way of password protecting my work can anyone help ?

I have an HP Scanjet 8390 with the same problem ($1600 new when I bought it). Using the "HP Scan.app", I am able to scan but not save - something about a read only file.

I called 1-800-633-3600.. HP told me they do not support legacy products, have no intention of updating the drivers for legacy products and suggested I buy a new scanner (even though my old scanner works perfectly and is faster and not ).
What is considered a legacy product? 1 year? 2 years? Am I to buy a new ($1000) scanner every 1-2 years? What benefit do I get from a new equivalent scanner?

If you synced it many times, you have to have a backup. It's just a question of how old that backup is now. When did you last sync?
First of all launch iTunes on your computer and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices. Do you see any backups for you iPad in that window? If so, how new is the newest backup? That will be the backup that you will want to use. But remember that if you use that backup and it is one month old, you can only restore from that date back in time. Anything that you did on the iPad in the past month will not be in that backup.
Turn on the new iPad Minin and start activating OTA via WiFi. You will get to a certain point in the process where you will be given the choice to Set up as new, Restore from iCloud - or Restore from iTunes. You will want to select Restore from iTunes.
That is the short and sweet version. There are step by step instructions in this article. This applies to the mini as well as the iPad 4 or the iPad 3 for that matter.

I still use pages 4 on my Mac, and have updated my iPad2 to iOS7 and spontenuously to pages 5 as well. Then, I can't read on my Mac a document in iCloud that was altered on my iPad with pages 5. Of course, to update my Mac to pages 5 would solve this, but I'd still like to use the features on pages4. Does anybody know how to uninstall pages 5 on iPad and revert back to pages4?

is your app stuck in "loading status"? Or are you trying to cancel an ongoing loading process?
if stuck:
Perform a reset of your ipad.
Hold down home-button and on/off-button together for about 10 seconds (Ipad will first show you it´s shut-off-screen, then will turn, then will show apple logo again <- that´s where you release).
After doing so my "faulty" app restored properly, I hav no more issues.
If in loading stage and you would like to cancel:
You will need to wait for loading and installation to complete.
Then press and hold down finger on any app. Apps start shaking and (if not proper to ipads iOS) will show a small circled "x" above left, press that "x", you will be asked if you really wish to delete, press ok. Done.
