I remember there is a download function for documents on safari when you move the cursors to the middle bottom of the page while you are reading a pdf files. but i don't my safari doesn't have. how do i enable it. thanks

You might have the Adobe Reader plug-in active instead. Check to see if you have by opening Adobe Reader and then go into it's preferences and under the Internet section, see if it is enabled to handle PDF content on the web.
If it is, turn it off and then quit and restart Safari to pick up the change. Safari should then natively handle PDFs and hopefully the floating toolbar at the bottom will reapppear.

You cannot download anything through safari. Apps come from the App Store icon and music through the iTunes icon.

Apple has the iBooks app for compatibility with pdf flies. If you do not have it on your iPad, you can download it for free. My personal preference for pdf's is the free Adobe Reader app. It has so many more useful features than iBooks, but if all that you want to do is save the pdf's and organize them into collections, iBooks will work fine. So download an app that you can store pdf files in.
In order to transfer pdf files to the iPad, you can do that via iTunes. If you are using iBooks on the iPad, you have to add the pdf's to your iTunes library via File>Add to Library. Open iPhoto and then try it. I got the same error message you did when I tried to download an image. iPhoto then opened and I was able to add the image. Not exactly perfect.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

Allow users to Download documents from server

Hello Everybody,
I am working on an Flex application where I have to allow the
users to Open/Save documents such as Word document, Excel sheet,
PDFs, Jpeg, Media files (any digital format document) when a user
clicks on a link present in a Flex application. To do this I am
using the navigateToURL() method and simply passing the URL string
as a URLRequest to the navigateToURL method. This works fine but
whenenver the link is invoked and the user selects to Save the
Excel sheet or any document it displays an unwanted browser window
behind the Open/Save/Cancel dialog box saying action cancelled.
I can not use "_self" as I require the Flex application to
run as is. I tried using the javascript:window.open() but this did
not work.
1) Is there a process to stop the browser window from
opening?
2) How can we invoke a javascript using navigateToURL(), I
tried to invoke javascript.alert('Ok') and also
javascript:window.open() both did not function.
3) Is there any other method or flex classes etc. to invoke
external applications (allow to download documents from server)?

You could use the file download functionality. This is from
the docs:
You can let users download files from a server using the
FileReference.download() method, which takes two parameters:
request and defaultFileName. The first parameter is the URLRequest
object that contains the URL of the file to download. The second
parameter is optional--it lets you specify a default filename that
appears in the download file dialog box. If you omit the second
parameter, defaultFileName, the filename from the specified URL is
used.
The following code downloads a file named index.xml from the
same directory as the SWF document:
var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest("index.xml");
var fileRef:FileReference = new FileReference();
fileRef.download(request);
To set the default name to currentnews.xml instead of
index.xml, specify the defaultFileName parameter, as the following
snippet shows:

I think this will accomplish what you are trying to do.

Aargghhh this was brilliant before for grabbing stuff and not working now,
all i get is a massive amount of text showing up and no download anymore.
Yup you can download an earlier version (5.0.6) but Lion will not swallow it
tried pacifist to open the old package but even that fails.
thought i could find it inside and run it.
so....
what now?
is there a way round this?

I thought I was the only person who was grieving the loss of this feature. I used it mostly for downloading PDFs as preview handles them so much better than shoddy propriety viewers, or even the "preview in safari" mode. During my degree it was invaluable to me as it also let me save these files into folders and keep them for referencing later.
To further exlpain; it was one of the features which set Safari out from the rest. The activity window shows all the different elements of the website which are either being loaded or which have been downloaded. It will show elements of javascript, images, music, PDFs etc embedded in the page including videos and the like.
Within that activity window, you can also see (and copy!) the DIRECT LINK address of each element of the page. ie: Where the actual media files are being hosted, downloaded or streamed from. Certain sites disable this feature for protected works, as they are entitled to do so, but the vast majority allow it.
When we had a separate downloads window, instead of this overlay box in the Lion safari, it enabled the end user to copy the DIRECT LINK in the activity window using Ctrl + C and do the following:
1) Either paste it into the address bar to watch/ listen to the media free from the other elements of the page which waste memory/ get in the way
2) Paste it into the "Downloads" window (Using Ctrl + V) which would instantly start downloading the file, as if you had clicked a "Download file ABC Now" link on a web page.
With the loss of the download window, only option 1 is available. This means that only images and certain formats of video/ audio will be viewable off the website in question ie: ones that quicktime can play. And the current version of quicktime embedded within safari doesn't give you the option to "Download a copy" or "Save as" like older versions used to.
This may necessitate a revisiting of Firefox, which has a "Media browser" function.
I wonder if there is perhaps a bookmarklet out there which forces a download of whatever is dragged onto it. Any ideas?

AirPrint is a feature built into the iOS. If the app that you are working in or using has the boxed curved arrow icon at the top - should allow you to print. However, in order to use AirPrint, you must have one of the AirPrint compatible printers.

There used to be this thing called the Activity Window in Safari that would make it easy to show the files (like audio files) in a web page. That doesn't exist any more but in the Develop Menu there is Show Page Resources that can do the same thing.

You don't have to download them. Any documents in iCloud should already be in Pages app when you open it. That is the idea behind using iCloud. Your documents should upload from the iPad to iCloud and if you work on the files on your computer and then sync them to iCloud, they should be accessible in Pages when you launch it.
If your settings are correct try this.
Close Pages. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the Pages app and then swipe "up" on the app thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Did you try to change the location in Settings/iTunes & AppStore/AppleID -> view Apple ID, log in ->Country/Region -> India?
