How to download Indesign CS5.5?

I just bought Adobe Creative Cloud.
I use indesign with the Mag+ template and they didn't sort it out for Indesign CC yet
So I installed CS6 but I have templates missing etc. I have seen many posts about this problem but none of them bring the solution for me. I installed it on a new Mac Book I just bought so it's not about previous installations...
Anyway I know it works fine with CS5.5
Is there any way to download CS5.5 with my abo please?
It would be awesome to start using my creative license for what I bought it

Sure I can use the trial but I need to work with Mag+ - not only for one month
as soon as the update for CC is ready: problem is solved but in the meantime can't I use a regular license for CS5 or 5.5?

I think its because of the this reason :
Both - InDesign CS4 and InDesign CS5 have their application/program/exe named as "indesign.exe".
Installation of either InDesign CS4 or InDesign CS5, sets a Windows default path for the "indesign.exe". In this case, since InDesign CS4 was installed later (after InDesign CS5 was already installed), the "indesign.exe" which was directing InDesign CS5's "indesign.exe" was replaced by InDesign CS4's "indesign.exe".
But after long google and search through regedit, I've got the solution :
Locate HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\InDesign.Document\Shell\Open\Command in regedit
Change the value of (Default) attribute to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS5.5\InDesign.exe" "%1" // Include the quotes

Where Can I download Indesign CS5.5?

Anyone know where I can download Indesign CS 5.5 for Windows? I tried using this link: http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs5-5-direct-download-links.html but the download links don't work. I followed the directions and when I clicked on the links it said the webpage was not found. Any ideas where else I can download it?

Double checked and the page is still not working. I can open the web page just fine but whenever I try to open any of the links on the ProDesign Tools page to actually start downloading files or link to another page it doesn't work. It looks like the links are busted. any ideas?

How to download indesign free trial

I have having problems with the above, i keeep on getting a proxy password pop up screen from creative cloud and it won't accept the username and password that i believe are mine....does anyone have any suggestions? my email is (removing personal information) as i dont' know if i will see the answer on this forum as i dont' knwo how it works.....

How to download InDesign ME or any other support to Japanese (Furigana)

How can I find a link to download InDesign ME (Middle East)? I need to do a book of 60 pages in Japanese (Furigana). Is there another way to write from right to left and start in the last page of the publication from the beggining, using "normal" InDesign?

It is worth mentioning that furigana are a special sub-set of Japanese typography, little phonetic symbols placed above or beside characters; these are often referred to as "ruby text," or in MS Word as "Phonetic Guide." If all you need is to set regular-size kanji and kana text in vertical columns right-to-left then you might be able to get by with the TechArt templates for InDesign in any language, still available from TransPacificDigital. But real furigana introduce a whole new level of complexity.
Two things worth keeping in mind about Japanese versions of ID: 1) they cannot co-exist on the same system with the same version in another language; and 2) last time I looked (and unlike Quark) they only allowed a Japanese interface. Harbs' World Tools Pro avoids both.

How to get InDesign CS5 on computer after Aldus Pagemaker and Adobe Pagemaker disks destroyed byfire

More than 2 hours with "help" jackasses who can't speak English - and hang up or cut you off.
Have InDesign CS5. Had Aldus Pagemaker and then Adobe Pagemaker 5 and then 6. They were destroyed in a fire. Can't register the CS5 without the numbers. One of the Adobe "Help" types said they would email it to me - and that has NOT happened. Anothr told me I can't use it and have to get CS6.
Another told me it was easy - and then cut off the phone.
The three others I have talked with have been worse.
How do I put this damn program on the computer???

How to find InDesign CS5 application folder

Hello, I am trying to install our plug-in to InDesign CS5 plug-ins folder. Does anyone know how to find where InDesign CS5 is installed on Windows platform? I am looking for the App Paths registry entry which has worked for previous versions of InDesign, but it seems to me that CS5 does not update/add this App Paths entry. I tested on Windows XP and Windows 7, none has the entry.

We are not using those classid keys. After some investigation, we figured out that the App Paths was removed by the removal of InDesign. What we did was to install CS5, then uninstalled CS4 in the lab. My guess is that since App Paths was first added by CS4, the removal of CS4 took the app path entry out even though CS5 installer did modify it to point to the new CS5 app location, which is what we wanted.
So for now, we left the installer the way it is, looking for App Path. If it turns out that people uninstall older versions quite often after installing the new version, we may have to revisit the subject.

Need to download InDesign CS5 v7 and Acrobat Pro 9.

I bought CS5 master collection last year through my college. I have a valid professional licence and serial number for all included products.
The problem is, when I purchased it through the school, they only provided a digital download of the software, and did not provide us wth CDs.
I need to reinstall InDesign and Acrobat 9, but the software has been taken down off my college's website.
I also cannot download them from adobe, because they only offer InDesign CS5.5 and Acrobat Pro X which I do not have a serial number for.
Does anyone know where I can download versions of these software?
again I need:
- InDesign CS5 v7 (not CS5.5)
- Acrobat Pro 9
(I legally paid for these software and have a legal and valid serial number and licence)

How to make InDesign CS5 documents lock to other users on network when open

We have multiple users using InDesign CS5 across our network. In InDesign CS4 when one person had a page open, it was locked to any other users, but in CS5 the pages are not locked, and this causes changes not to be saved. We want them to lock, any suggestions?

We have a mac environment, with a mac server. Editorial dept. opens the pages to put stories on, and at different times another dept. needs the pages to put ads on the page. We all use InDesign CS5. When any dept has a page open, it does show the .idlk file, but still allows another user to open the document. However, once in a while, it locks it and doesn't let anyone else open it, which is what we want. This all worked in InDesign 4, it started when we upgraded to CS5. We aren't doing anything out of the ordinary.

How to download InDesign CS3 Debug (non-Server version)

I have downloaded and installed the InDesign CS3 SDK and can generate a Release build of a plug-in and get it to load and work in InDesign CS3, but as indicated in the doc, building the Debug configuration of a plug-in and trying to get it to work in the Release version of InDesign CS3 does not work. So, of course, I want to download and install InDesign CS3 Debug so that I can load and run the Debug configuration of plug-ins. But I cannot find a way to download InDesign CS3 Debug anywhere. I find a link for downloading InDesign CS3 Server Debug but not InDesign CS3 Debug (non-server version).
Can someone point me to the InDesign CS3 Debug download?

Any other suggestions on how to stop Indesign CS5 from crashing?

Indesign CS5 was running fine on computer (mac 10.6.8) for a couple of years until a few months ago when it started crashing randomly, this has become progressively more frequent until it would crash at launch. So far I've:
Resolved font conflicts through Font Book.
Ran Disk Utility to repair permissions.
Deleted Indesign cache.
Uninstalled Creative Suite.
Deleted all Adobe preference files and cache on the HD and user profile.
Did a system search for anything Adobe and deleted this as well.
Reset the computers PRAM.
Reinstalled Creative Suite.
Installed all updates.
Opened Indesign and was working fine for a few minutes until I selected preferences from pull down menu and then it hung, crashed and is following the pattern as before...
I'm outta ideas on what to do, any suggestions?

Check to ensure you have no 3rd party plugins installed.

Surely something has changed on your system in the last few months, did you get any new peripherals or other things? Did you install any updates or have any other issues with other software/hardware?

How to fix InDesign CS5 install/program-opening problems the "right" way?

John Hawkinson (presumably an Adobe employee) kindly replied suggested I start a new thread so he could help me debug properly. So while the iron is hot...I'm ready...let's debug. Can it be done in an hour?

Oh dear. Well, then I guess it's not stuck.
So, we know it's not specific to your customizations from CS3 or otherwise, since it doens't affect your new user. So it's either something about InDesign's installation on your machine, or something about your machine in general.
I forgot to ask: Do you have any font management software installed? Have you tried disabling it? That has been the source of a variety of problems... One of the things InDesign does at startup is enumerate all the fonts on your system. Do you have a really large number?
How about any plugins for InDesign or other software that modifies its behavior?
I am mostly out of ideas. Your Sample Process output is not very informative to me. It looks like it is in the midst of calls to the operating system (all the CF* stuff is Apple's CoreFoundation code), rather than inside InDesign's code itself. Which could implicate...the operating system's font subsystem, graphics subsystem, or, well, almost anything.
I'm afraid I'm almost out of ideas. It would seem pointless to suggest you replace your preferences, since you started out with a clean user account.
You can certainly de-install CS5 and run the CS5 Cleaner Tool and then reinstall. No promises that it would work, though, it might just be a waste of your time
If you're feeling really exciting, the only other thing (other than the above) that I would try would be to go the Activity Monitor, and choose View > Send Signal to Process and choose Abort (SIGABRT). That will force InDesign to crash. The crash report may be a bit more insightful than the call graph from the Sample Process. Though it'll be frozen at an instant in time, so it might not reflect what's going on during the bulk of the rainbow-wheeling. Anyhow, the relevant section is the "Thread 0 Crashed: " portion and the lines that follow until Thread 1.
I suppose it might be possible to instrument the CoreFoundation calls with dtrace. That's definitely not something I've done and it's probably easier to take out the WelcomeScreen plugin and soldier on. Hopefully something along the way will help before you get that far.
And of course, you can open an official support case with Adobe...
