How to download IR at background?

Hi all:
Is there any way to download the interactive report at background?
The data requested is too large, and the save file box never show up.
I found FLOW_EXCEL_OUTPUT is good but looks like it only works for classic report.
any equivalent command in interactive report?
I am in oracle 10.2.0.4 and apex 4.2

How do I know what is downloading in the background. My wi fi is showing something is downloading, but I dont know where to look to see what exactly is downloading.
Also why does my iPad keep looking for wi fi spots when I have already selected and opened my wi fi ?

Check in Settings>iTunes & App Store>Automatic Downloads>Updates>On. If that is set to "On", any apps that require updates are being downloaded in the background. I turned it off on my iPad. Just another way to drain the battery IMO. I can update the apps when I am ready to do so and I can do when the iPad is plugged into power.

A few hours ago I asked a couple of guys how to download a file to html. For that I am most thankful, and as mentioned this is a two part question, my other question is about how to proccess downloading the html in background and to automatically send it to a folder or other path. Without any user intervention.
Example, I run a long report to be downloaded in background. The lets say the next day, I can get the file in a folder. Thanks guys take care!

Hello guys thanks for your help so far. I have been off again on again with this task because its more for future purposes than anything.
So far I have searched the net and stuff and decided that I will use WWW_LIST_TO_HTML since I want to download it the way it is. I am also going to use open/close dataset as many of you have mentioned.
SO far Im just trying it out with a simple report program to see its funcitonalities. My code goes like this.

NOw the problem now though is that the file isnt downloading or saving at all. I cant seem to get what is wrong since the path does exist and the this seems the universal way to implement the program. Im guessing the problem lies in the file name, because everything seems to work fine. Hope to hear again soon sorry for not visiting this place sooner cuz I was buzy elsewhere.

How to download a file from a server

Hi,
I have a question with a general design implementation. Hope anyone more skilled than me helps me.
I want to do an application based on an android client and a java server. Local wifi transmission, no 3G.
Basically, the client must connect to the server and request a file to download using a code.
How can I do that?
Things I know:
* I must create a background thread in the client to create a file in the SD card and update a progress bar using a Handler to communicate with the UI thread.
* The server must be multithread and non-blocking.
* The file is a binary file like a mp3 audio. So the server has to:
1. Send information about the file: name and total length.
2. Open the file, read and send bytes while it does not reach the end.
* The client has to:
1. Receive the information about the file and create an empty file.
2. Read bytes and dump them into the empty file. Update progress bar.
3. When all bytes are recieved close the file.
I have knowledge implementing a client and server in C (very awful) but I am beginning with a real client-server application done in java.
Questions:
* How can I download a binary file like an mp3 from a server to a client?
* Where I have to put my server application? I supose that I must create a jar, save it on a folder and execute it at PC start-up, right?

The best best for you is to read some online tutorials on client/server and how it works.

Someone else in the forum told me how to do this. If you have Onyx on your system then select Parameters, iTunes and turn off high contrast mode. If you don't have Onyx, I'd suggest getting it. It is freeware and used to help maintain your system. Good luck

1.) Create New
2.) i click + sign under section Library >> Scripts >> Add JS File from URL...

Then i select Rectangle Tool and mark the area (white box) and i click on small C icon
And the box that occures i type there backgroundvideo_1_mp4 autoplay
now when i use ctrl and enter i only get gray box that does not play video.
What am i doing wrong?

When I run the program in Fore ground and Back ground (Immediately when press F9, without schedule) I am getting same result, I can able to download file in a local file. Please I like to know whether it is correct or not?
If it is not correct, How to download the file into presentation server (Local file) when program run in back ground mode (Immediately when press F9, without schedule)?

Hi,
you can not download file in a presentation server using your Background job. That is a limitation from SAP. Instead you can download file to presentation server. Or you can add mailing the file to user id functionality.

Hi,
In order to download a file from application layer to a local file in background,
first write a report(ZREPORT1) in which do the following steps:
OPEN DATASET g_file_1 FOR INPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT.
loop the g_file and append all the data into another internal table.
end of this report you shd have all the data in the application layer file into your internal table.
Now create another report(ZREPORT2) and submit this report in background.
that is,
JOB_OPEN
JOB_SUBMIT and
JOB_CLOSE
and in job_submit submit ZREPORT1 which downloads the file in application layer.

Clicks on -> Key Combination Button

After Providing Inputs for
Purch. Organization, Plant, Valid on Date User executes the report
Then the data is displayed in Table Control
Here the User needs to download the data which is displayed in the Table Control
By Navigating through SYSTEM -> LIST -> SAVE -> LOCAL FILE
Here LOCAL FILE is not in enable mode
So how can we make that LOCAL FILE to enable mode and achieve the Download functionality

whenever you click on Excel download option select spreadsheet instead of unconverted
There is a possibility of download the spool file as txt-file. .
Use Tranx SP01 - select the spool entry -->"spool request --> forward as text . You will find the file in your SAP work directory as <sid><spool#>.
or use fm RSPO_DOWNLOAD_SPOOLJOB.

Download from background is possible, if you could setup the environment
1. create a custom table first
    Table : Y001
    Displayed fields:   4 of   4 Fixed columns:
       MANDT BNAME       Y_SITE    Y_PATH
       010      <userid>     <site>      cd <novell_path>
2. rewrite ws_download to z_download (light modification required, see attachment)
3. ask your basis team to make a copy of command FTP and CHMOD to ZFTP and ZCHMOD resp., make the setting according to your environment.
