just received my new iPod Suffle, now what? it does not come with any type of instructions,what you do to download music fro iTunes,where and how to charge battery,you know all the needed stuff.I connected the iPod to my iMac and nothing happen,while connected re-instal my genious in iTunes adn nothing,the computer did not recognise my iPod,try to get information in what to do in apple support nothing;only one how to charge your battery,what is this why everything has too be so complicated and why Apple does not include instructions. You know now I regret buying this gismo.

First, you should download and install the latest version of iTunes, from here

Information about using iTunes with your shuffle is in Chapter 3 (seems like that should be Chapter 1, but hey, I didn't write the manual ).
You can come back with any specific questions, if the manual does not answer them...

Have you installed iTunes on your computer?
Have you imported the songs and videos into your iTunes Library? (iTunes is a database listing, your songs etc.)
Did you then connect your iPod to iTunes so that it can Sync the music to the iPod?

Unable to download music from itunes onto ipod

I recently downloaded some music from itunes and naturally went to transfer the music to my ipod. So i dragged the selected songs onto my ipod icon, it started to copy then it freezes and causes itunes to crash, inturn making me have to reset my computer as i can't close itunes down, even when using task manager.
-I tried this a couple of times
-I tried to download tunes on some elses itunes
-I updated to the latest version of tunes
-I checked the software on my ipod
-I resetted my ipod using the middle and menu button
And still all these alternatives brought the same result. Would anybody please be kind enough to advise me on this as im at a witts end and would just like to know if i have to take it to get serviced or is there something else that i can do or am not doing?

Sorry, but that is not allowed. The terms of purchase for the iTunes Store state that all purchases are for your personal use only. You cannot use them on any public site or in any sort of public performance. Even if you bought a CD and imported the tracks from there, you could't post the tracks on a public blog without a license from the record company for that use.
If you want music as a background for your block, purchase music from one of the several sites that sell music for such use (search the web for "royalty free music"), or compose music yourself using something like GarageBand.

I have an iPod with a lot of music loaded on it. I want to delete all that music and download a large library of new music. I've installed iTunes on my computer and it appears to be working, but when I get to the part where I should get instructions to download music, nothing happens. Also, I think I've deleted the music files from my iPod (I think, because nothing plays) but the names/tiles, etc. of songs still show up in the menu. Does anyone know what the problem(s) might be and how to fix them?

First go here and install the latest ipod updater http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/
Once installed open it by going to start>all programs>ipod>ipod updater 06-28-2006 THEN connect the ipod and hit the "Restore" button this will wipe it clean and update it if needed.
When its done disconnect the ipod then plug it back in and see if its listed in iTUnes

Hi, after having software Problems, i set up my Iphone again. Now, the following problem exists:
All music, I have bought beforehand from Itunes is shown with a cloud symbol so that I could download the music easely from itunes in the cloud again. I tried to load this music by connecting the iphone with my PC, but it is still shown with the cloud symbol. I am not using icloud!
It is too much music to download it this way (pushing the symbol on the phone). Can anybody tell me another way? How can I bring my music to my Iphone again???

If your music has a cloud icon means the music is not on your iPhone/computer iTunes locally.
You can download the music through Purchased tab then sync your iPhone with the music selected.

I'm guessing that you accidently downloaded an app which is for iPod Touch. It won't sync to your iPod. To get a game for your nano, (assuming your on iTunes 9) go on the iTunes Store and hover over App Store. Now click on the dropdown box and select iPod Clickwheel Games. Can't download music from Itunes to Ipod

When I try syncing the music I keep getting the following message:
"Attempting to copy to the disk "Logical Disk" failed. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation. ITunes could not save to your Music Folder because you do not have write access. Check the permissions on your Music Folder and folders in your Music Folder and then try copying this file again."
I went to the Music folder and looked at the security tab and it looks as though all the access privileges are there. I'm not sure where exactly to go or what to do. Does anyone know how I can attain the necessary access privileges?

Are you on an administrator-priveledges user account on your computer?
If not, try logging into an admin user, and see if that makes any difference.
Just a guess, but this might be caused by drive letter confusion on your computer.
Try assigning your iPod a different drive letter, following the steps here:

For 3 days now I have been trying to d/l to IPod. Today I restored as a last desperate measure and now one album d/l but when I press play, all it does is skip from one song to another then stops. Never plays music. I recently installed IPod to new computer, updated driver, and Itunes, nothing. Tried to d/l manually and I got a big black circle with a line through it would not transfer. Does anyone have an answer? I have been reading all the questions but nothing that was suggested works. Can anyone help please?

*i had converted the podcast previously, but i had just continued to try and transfer it from the podcast section rather than going to the movie's section, and dragging it from there. once i did that, it worked!
