How to download original photo from iCloud photo (beta) on PC?

I'm having this problem a while now... I hope there is a solution for it.
When I edit a photo on my iPhone it uploads to iCloud photo (beta) edited, when I access my iCloud photo (beta) from PC... I can only view and download the photo edited and I can not revert it to original.
Is it possible in the beta? If not, will it be in the future?
Thanks,
Anas  Hardy

Unfortunately you can't download an iCloud backup to a computer, or restore individual files.

  • How do I download and immediately delete original photos from iCloud photos?

How do I download and immediately delete all original photos from iCloud photos? This way, I have a local copy of all my iPhone photos, and my iPhone and iCloud space will be reset and empty.
Using the online iCloud web app, you can only select one photo at a time. There is no select all or download all. And when you try to select one by one multiple photos and download, it opens a download "save-as" window for each one! Not one download window for all the selected. So if you select one hundred photos, one hundred download "save-as" windows will pop up, and you have to click the save button one hundred times.
Using my Windows 7 PC, the iCloud app doesn't have iCloud photo sync, only the Photo Stream photos, which is separate.
After researching online, they said the Apple OS X Yosemite Photos app could do this. So I tried my wife's MacBook Pro, and there is a iCloud photo sync, BUT, it tries to merge with her local photos. My 20 GB iCloud is full with my iPhone pictures, and her local photo library is about 50 GB. So it doesn't not even merge or allow the iCloud photo sync to turn on without buying more storage! The Apple OS X Yosemite Photos app doesn't even have a download only feature, OR access the iCloud like a folder to drag and drop photos or like an FTP. WHAT THE?!?!
So there IS ABSOLUTELY NO OPTION SO FAR to download and remove immediately all photos in the iCloud photo storage with ANY device, unless maybe I delete all my wife's photos on her MacBook Pro, which is not an option. Or select one by one thousands of photos on the online web app.
Am I missing something? or is Apple not so user friendly as they seem to be?

    Open iphoto.  Connect camera.
    Import photos.
    Does that not work?

  • How do I delete photos from icloud photo stream on my iphone and ipad

    question
how to delete individual photos from icloud stream

As far as I know, you don't. iCloud photo stream automatically stores all of your photos for 30 days, then self-deletes them. It's meant to give you plenty of time to download the photos to a computer before they get deleted.

  • How to add photo from iCloud Photo Library to Apple Mail?

I have enabled iCloud Photo Library (Beta) and Upload to My Photo Stream on iPhone 5 iOS 8.1, but on OSX new photos are not showing under iCloud drive folder, also if I press Photo Browser button visible are only iPhoto & iCloud menu without new Photos. How to attach photos to Mail from iCloud Photo Library?

    Hi Salsalove,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
The article linked below will walk you through the process of deleting the photos and videos that you no longer want saved on iCloud, so you don’t have to wait 30 days for them to be delted.

You can delete unwanted photos from My Photo Stream at any time. Learn about deleting your photos.
You can delete unwanted photos and videos from your shared albums at any time. Learn how to delete photos and videos from a shared album.

  • Moving Photos from iCloud Photo Library to Local Storage

Scenario - I've a fully migrated library of photos/videos using iCloud Photo Library on iPhone and Mac.  It's near the limit of the iCloud storage plan I purchased and want to retain.  I'd like to move older and less frequently used content from iCloud Photo Library to more permanent archival storage.
[This is for two reasons.  First, I prefer to use the Full Resolution setting on mobile devices, and that will be impossible as the entire library grows beyond the storage capacity of even the largest mobile devices.  Second, I don't feel the need to pay for super-sized iCloud storage for content rarely needed and only needed on a Mac.]
The only option I've identified in Photos to do this is to Export (and delete from iCloud), which exports the original photos, but does not preserve useful Photos metadata and organization, such as Albums.
What one would might like to see is a way to designate selection portions of the Library for local storage only (including backup within the Photos app library package), so those photos can be manipulated within Photos alongside iCloud content, but don't consume iCloud or mobile device space.  Or, in the alternative, one would like to see a way to Export content to merge into a separate Photos library package, preserving the metadata/organization.  In that way, one could maintain one Photos library as current iCloud synced content, and one or more local-only Photos library packages with archival content (with, importantly, the Export function to move content between the two preserving metadata).
Does anyone know if there's a way to do this?  If not, Apple, would you consider coming up with a way to address this need?

Well I was able to move photos from the camera roll to the photo library by sending *the pictures via email to my dad's blackberry, then saving them to my computer from his phone, then putting them back on into the photo library*.
This is what I said originally.
    {quote:title=Nissin101 wrote @ 4:08pm EMT:}{quote}
Alright I guess that answers my question then. However, just as I said I was able to transfer photos from my camera roll to my photo library, so at least that is possible.
I never said that I did it directly, neither did I mean to imply that I was looking for a direct solution. This I guess is where our misunderstanding comes from. I just did not feel like repeating the whole process I went through. Regardless, I would rather this thread not derail into who said what and whose misunderstanding who. I now know that it is not possible to get pictures from the photo library to the camera roll in any way, so my question is answered for now at least.

  • Downloading photos from iCloud Photo Library

Apple removed the iDevice iPhoto app and Camera Roll  ability to send photos to iTunes for transfer to my iMac, my iMac is too old by a couple months to use Airdrop, and one can only send 5 photos at a time thru email from the Camera Roll or the Photos app.
I finally figured out that the iCloud Photo Library is now the only way to get the photos out of my iDevices and onto my (apparently outdated) iMac.
I don't anticipate using my iDevices as my primary photo creator, so it is not my intention to permanently store photos in the iCloud Photo Library.  But occasionally, I don't have a real camera handy.
Works fine.  Photos end up in the iCloud Library, I go into iCloud on my iMac and download the photos to my iMac download folder, move them to my photos disk, and delete them from the iCloud PL.
Okay. all the blah blah blah is done, now my question to which I can find no answer:
How can I stop the download from automatically opening Adobe Photoshop Elements (or any other viewer/editor) for every photo I download.?
Gets pretty tedious when I download 100 photos and have to wait for them to load into PS before I can close PS and get on with moving the photos to their final resting place.

In direct answer to your question: I don't connect to my iMac with the iDevices and use iPhoto because I stopped using iPhoto in 2007, long before iDevices came into my life and I've just never had a reason to open iPhoto again.  I also like having my photos in folders where I know where they are, and if I recall, importing photos to iPhoto from my own folders ended up placing a second copy in the bowels of iPhoto.  I didn't need duplicate copies.
Until iOS 8 came along, I have been able to export photos thru the iPhoto iOS app via iTunes -- grabbing the folder under the "apps" tab "File Sharing" area in iTunes and placing it wherever I wished.  I seldom if ever used the iPad  for video, but if I did, it was to make a short iMovie and export it via iTunes File Sharing as well. The file sharing option is now gone for photos, although still remains (for the time being) for iMovie.
It never occurred to me to look in iPhoto, so checked out your suggestion, and I do see that you are correct, and connecting my iDevices to my iMac with iPhoto open is assuredly a good way to get both photos and video exported to my own folders.
However, with the iPhoto app File Sharing option gone from the iDevice environment, and no visible way to export my photos/videos to my iMac, as explained previously, I checked out the iCloud Photo Library (beta) option. As I have also stated, I log into iCloud on my iMac (https://www.icloud.com/#photos) and all my photos and videos are sitting there happily waiting for me to do what I will with them.  What I will, is to download them to my iMac and delete them from the iCloud Photo Library.
The process works just fine, except that I do have to double-check that all of the selected items actually did download.  Often one or two little fellows have to be selected again and downloaded.
Although you have shown me an easier option which I will be using on those future rare occasions when I am without my "real" camera, my question still remains: how do I prevent my editing program (photos) and Quicktime (videos) from opening automatically when I download the respective items.
Since you believe I cannot be using iCloud Photo Library on the Mac, you can't provide the answer I seek.
But I sincerely thank you for providing me with the option I didn't even know existed. I may well turn off the ICloud Photo Library permanently and forget it.  However, it would be more handy if I am traveling, since Photo Stream all by itself only makes photos available to other devices where they can be placed in the Camera Roll as backup.
Thanks again for the reply and the option.

  • How to delete empty albums from iCloud photo library

Finished migration to the new Photos for OS X, and my library across all devices is now the same.  However, if viewing Photos through iCloud, com (via Mac), I still see many unused empty Album folders.  These folders (albums) do not appear on any of my OS X or IOS devices.  I can;t seem to find a method to delete these folders.
    Any help would be appreciated
    THX

You cannot select an album on cloud.com! You can only open it. And if you right-click on it, there is only the custom safari menu.
By the the way the empty albums are only visible is 3 cases:
    1. They appear on results while searching on searching field.
    2. They are visible on iCloud.com.
    3. They are visible through "Documents 5" application by Readdle.
In all the 3 cases you cannot delete them.
    ... or I don't know how.

what do I do as now phone wont let me do anything as it says I have too much data used?

Hi, just wanted to let you know I have the same problem. I did a  BING search and it came up with, you have to down load icloud for windows to your pc, then you sign in to your apple id, after you install the program. you will have to do photo sharing between all of your devices, and make a folder for it. walla pics. Hope this is somewhat clear enough, otherwise, try the  BING search for your answer! Good luck

  • How to download fresh app from icloud

    Hi,
    I have some question.
I would like to download an app which I have ever downloaded it (so app store force me to download from iCloud service)
However, previous saved data also being downloaded together with the app.
How can I download the app without downloading its previous data?
Thanks in advance for all comment.
    Taiga.

You would have to do some research to find an app that is specifically desiged to sync data with iCloud and provided a companion application that would run on your laptop.  As an example, if you have a Mac, you could use the Reminders app for this, as it supports iCloud syncing and is built into the latest version of OS X.

  • How to download my pics from iCloud?

My iPhone 4s got damaged so apple gave me anew one but after setting everything up iCloud didn't download all my pics, it stoped and I don't know why... not even syncing my phone with iTunes helped... what I am doing wrong??

Thanks, the photo stream is only showing 90 out of the orginal 1000.  The kid at the store told me they would download automatically when i opened the photo app.  Only 90 came back. The computer I had been using for backup crashed and I hadn't back them up to anything but the icloud.  How do I get the rest of them to download from the cloud?

  • Do you know how to download some videos from iCloud shared file to my iPad

I have shared a file with some pictures and videos in "shared streams" with other iOS users. Everybody put their videos put their photos and videos, and I would like to download some of them to my camera roll to make a video with iMovie, but I cannot find the option. I am only allowed to download photos, no videos. Is there any way of download these videos in my iPad?

You can buy and download films via the iTunes app on the iPad, they will then download into the Movies app - you will need to download the films over wifi as there is a 20 meg limit per file over 3G. Or you can buy and download them on your computer and then sync them to the iPad via your computer's iTunes - select the iPad 'device' on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, and on the right-hand side on the Movies tab select which films to sync to it

  • Syncios to download from icloud photos

I would like to download all of my photos from icloud photos to my windows pc.  Only new pics will download.  All of my old photos will not download.  I tried a program called Syncios, but I can't seem to get it to log into icloud using my apple icloud login and my apple icloud password.  The company says that if my data is correct, I should be able to login.  They suggested I contact apple help community.  I do have two step authorization, but even using an app specific password failed.  Does anyone know what to do?  I do also have icloud installed on my computer pc, but it will only download new photos.
I have Windows 8.1 Pro on my desktop.
    Thanks very much.

I would ask what does it mean when there is a "cloud wth the arrow pointing down" and says download from the icloud

Does anyone know how to download iWork documents from iCloud to Mac, most specifically from Pages 5.0 and Numbers 3.0. It seems that Apple have taken away the ability to do so, as in the past I believe there was a download button... All I am trying to do is download the document to attach and send via Gmail.
Extremely frustrating as I can't find any discussion surrounding this problem.

Have you tried right-clicking the document to get an option to download it.
