How to download OS X Mavericks without error message
I have tried to download the latest OS X, Mavericks, and every time I get the message "This copy of the Install OS X Mavericks application can't be verified. It may have been corrupted or tampered with during downloading."
I have read other comments about verifying disk, repairing permissions, not deleting the old copy and nothing works.
I am now on my 12th try and still the same.
Does anyone have any way around this at all? Apple??????????
For others who are still having this problem, please read my reply on another thread; I'm interested to hear if this works. Short version: try creating another admin-level account on your Mac, and then try installing Mavericks from that account:

Correct...your agency/company has locked down your system and they want IT to handle updates. Suggest you cann them and ask them for the updates to Flash. We're on Flash Player 11 now.

Open the Disk Utility in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder, click on it in the sidebar, select the Erase tab, and reformat it.

For the last month or so, every time I download anything I get an error message stating "........could not open ...... .dmg because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged...." I do not know what to do to fix this issue. Any ideas?

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? (For example, 8007000B.) -

The CC Cleaner Tool assumes the Akamai Download Manager is activated and it has not. It seems to be the missing file that triggers the error message. \in a previous re-install I was prompted to download & install the Akamai Download Manger, but not this time. Is there somewhere on the Adobe website that I can download it??

I have created 2 pages:
Page 1: User to enter employee number and click 'Go' button to search (redirect to Page 2)
Page 2: To display employee details
In situation where employee is suspended, employee detail will be display as blank in Page 2.
At the same time, we would like to display error message which inform user to refer to HR Department for this scenario.
Need guidance on how to perform the validation and display error message.

In this case instead of redirecting to next page, throw an exception on the same page.
If you want redirect it to next page then while redirecting it to next page pass some info that can indicate that employee is suspended, get this value in Process request if it has value then throw exception else query details.

When I tried to open a fresh iTunes download my computer gave the error message : 'program cannot run in DOS mode'. Since both items are Apple, why might this be happening?
Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

How do I get rid of the error message "There was an error connecting to the server “Office AirPort Extreme” ? This message shows up 3 times when I boot my iMac.
I do have a USB hard drive hooked up to the Airport. I've never created an AppleScript for it. Should I disconnect the USB drive and see if I still get the error message?

It appears all the time already from the beginning after installing Firefox 4.Thanks a lot. The Ask toolbar created this problem. Another problem is: When searching on the web via Google, normally it is possible to type a few letters and then look what appears and then click on the wanted word(s). A number of word(s) ineed do appear, however it is not possible to select any of them as ws possible as mentioned in olders versions.

When trying to download iTunes, I get an error message saying "the instaler encountered errors before iTunes could be configured. Errors occured during installation." But it gives me no more information as to what I can do. Help please?
Also I now can`t access any of my itunes library and am concerned that if I remove it from my computer I will lose everything as I have no option of accessing and therefore backing anything up. Any ideas?
