How to download pictures from the internet to my camera roll

I have never used this before. A friend asked me how to download photos from facebook to the camera roll. I have never done this before and she states that she regularly did this on the iphone 4s. Now she does not have the option to share the photo either.

Once the image is saved to the camera roll it can be shared from there.

  • How Do I Download Pictures from the Internet?

This is the first time I've tried to download a picture from the internet with my new computer and the old right click method is not working.  I used to right click and get the dropdown menu with options for saving the picture.  How do I do this now?

I get nothing when I control click.  Is there some new way to do this?  I really liked that function.  I actually just upgraded to Mavericks so I don't know if this problem is with Mountain Lion or Mavericks because I don't believe I have tried it with the new computer which came with Mountain Lion.  I had just Lion before.
Never thought about drag and drop.  I will do do that, but I do like that right click thing. With my mouse, I can do nothing except move it around. Aren't there some other functions that a mouse can do....like right click?

  • How to download pictures from the web with their URLs?

How do you download pictures from the Web so that they automatically have their URL addresses in their "Comments" section of the Get Info window? I thought Safari did this automatically, but it's not happening for me.

    Graham--
When you say to open the image in another window, do you mean another Safari window? When I do and right click on the image, I don't get the "Inspect Element" option. I have tried your other suggestion, and that doesn't work either.
    So.... I'm still puzzled...
I am also working in the same version of Safari (4.0.4) but this may be because I have the "Develop" menu (between Bookmarks and Window). If you do not, that will not be available to you. I can tell you how to get this, but as a newer user, this may be (for now) more information than you want.
However, if you do open that image in a new window, the toolbar will display the URL of the image.
As to the other solution, I may not have explained this clearly enough. Let me suggest another route to the same idea. With an image in a web page, drag it to the desktop. When it is on the desktop, highlight the image (click once) and then use the Finder > File menu and the item, Get Info. The large panel that opens will give the URL and this works for any file downloaded from the internet, which makes it a useful security check too.
    All the best.

this is a piece of JAVA-code to read a URL. This works also for XML-files.
You can use this in adater-module, JAVA-Mapping or UDF

  • How do i download pictures from the internet and convert them to jpg file?

im a fulltime mom and i help my children a lot on their projects. just got my new macbook pro and was surprised that i cant easily save pictures form the net to my macbook using jpg format. please help

    Hi there,
as I am not a Mac user, I cannot fully respond to this, but as Klaus1 said, you will probably be able to just drag a picture to the desktop. This will not change the original format of the image though. So if the image you are trying to get is a gif, png or (best case for you) a jpg file, it will still be that.
In order to change that, you'll need some sort of program to edit the picture (like Photoshop, Picasa or Gimp where you can then save it in the desired format.

  • How to download files from the internet??

I am a new Mac user, and I am soooo befuddled by downloading files, and what to do with them once they are on the desktop/under devices in Finder. Would someone here be kind enough to explain how to do this, please, or show me in the forum where this is already covered? Thank you very much in advance.

    Hiya,
Downloading files is simple. All downloads appear in a download window that will open up. Once they are downloaded, you can click the "clear" button if you wish - you don't need them in there any more, and close the window. Files will then be wherever they're set to download to in your Safari preferences - Desktop, Downloads folder etc - and can then be used as you wish, opened, edited, moved. You can drag the files from the desktop into folders in finder. Sadly, someone at Apple foolishly thinks having no "cut" option in finder as you do in windows was a good idea - not quite sure how they came to that conclusion - so you'll have to drag the files from one folder to another, or copy them and then delete the original.
If you're downloading compressed files (.zip) you may want to look up "Stuffit Expander" - a great file extraction tool.
Hope this was the information you're after.

  • How to download pictures from the cloud to a new phone

I have a new iPhone 6 plus and want to get my pictures from my iphone 4s.  they are backed up to the cloud.

Pictures are not "backed up" to iCloud, with the exception of their inclusion in a full backup of the device. If they are in Photo Stream, then they will be in the Photo Stream tab in the Photos app once you sign into iCloud on the iPhone 6. If they are part of a backup, then you need to choose "Restore from iCloud Backup" during the setup process on the iPhone 6. If you've already set it up, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings, to start over.

  • How do I download pictures from the computer to the ipad

how do I download pictures from the computer to the ipad?
I want to temporarily put pictures that I took from another camera that's on my desktop into my IPAD so I can carry it to another location and show off my pictures to friends and family?

Connect and select your iPad on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that tab you can then select which photo folders to sync to the iPad. There is a bit more info on this page. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync.
If you want more control over your photos (e.g. being able to sort them directly on the iPad and delete synced photos) then there are third-party photo apps such as Photo Manager Pro.

How do I download videos from the internet to my MAC?

You can use SnapZ Pro X, which will screen record with sound any animation on the monitor into a QuickTime file, but it's expensive.
If you look for Add-ons for Firefox, there are some that download Flash and YouTube videos to a file on your machine.

You Mac likely will come across sites and content that won't play in Quicktime, on your Mac or in your web browser unless you install additonal codecs

    How to install
When you click a link, a download of the installer file occurs to your Downloads Folder usually located next to your Trash Can or in your Users Folder.
Open the folder and double click (or File: Open) the download and icon can appear on your desktop which you open and inside is a installer package which you double click on to launch the installer.
OS X will check the download to make sure you intended to start it and that it's not malware it knows about.
Follow the installer instructions to install the software onto your computer and quit when finished.
Some require the browsers to be closed first, others require the machine to be restarted to enable the software.
Once the install is completed, remove any and all downloads from your Download folder, it's safer to keep this folder empty so you can keep track of what appears in there.
Drive by downloads of malware can occur and reside in the Downloads folder, mixing in with files residing there and await your click to install.

  • How can I copy an image/picture from the internet into a word document

I am trying to copy and paste an image or picture from the internet and insert it into a word document. I select and copy the image from the internet page. I then go to the word document and select past special. When I select 'paste special' it only allows text to be copied and no images or pictures. If I also try to drag the image and place it in the word document. It does not allow me to do so. Any suggestions to fix this issue?

Considering this is a MS Word issue I'd recommend reposting to that forum. You can find one at:

  • I downloaded music from the internet and edited it in Itunes. How do I keep the details of the song in windows explorer?

So basically I downloaded music from the internet and edited the artist, album, album art and all that stuff on Itunes. But when I go back to windows explorer, i dont have those details

Possibilities are that you are working with copies of the originals in which case it is only the copies that get updated, or that the songs are in .wav format and cannot carry a tag, or are in some other format and didn't include a tag so iTunes hasn't created one even though it has recorded details internally, or that there are mp3 files with multiple tags. iTunes doesn't cope well with multiple tags (despite these conforming to standards) and in this case may be making changes to one copy while Windows Explorer continues to show unchanged data from another. Use a 3rd party tag tool to inspect a problem album, or select the tracks and use Right-click > Convert ID3 Tags > None two or three times to strip out the embedded tags, then use Convert ID3 Tags > v2.3 to recreate them.
Note the process of cleaning and rewriting the tags will remove any embedded art. You can use my script CreateFolderArt before and after converting the tags to preserve and then embed the artwork, provided that you don't store songs from different albums in the same folder. Test a single track or album first to make sure the process has the desired result and only apply where needed.

  • How do I cut and paste a picture from the Internet to PowerPoint on a Mac?

HHow do I cut and paste a picture from the Internet to PowerPoint on a Mac?

Kind of depends on where the picture is. Usually you can just select it and if you can move it you can drop it onto the desktop.
You should always check usage rights when you use a picture off the Internet. If it's for a school project or personal then there should be no problem.
Pictures that require a royalty fee are usually marked.
