How to download previous version of Flash Player?

Hi All,
My MIL plays a flash-based game (big sea games site) that is not compatible with Flash 10.1x
Due to chronic crashes of the Firefox plug-in, the game developers have recommended reverting to
the previous version of Flash Player (eg 9.x )
I haven't been able to find a version of Flash 9 for Firefox, is there a location on the Adobe site that
has archived versions of Flash Player?
thanks
Mike

Hi, this is the site for older versions: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html
I would suggest if you can to Download and SAVE the Installer version to your Desktop.
Be sure to use the Uninstaller to remove the 10.1 first. You can download it and SAVE it to your Desktop.
I'd review the Uninstall instructions to make sure you have a clean Uninstall.
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
After you have those on your Desktop and following the instructions for Uninstall, then Close all browsers. Uninstall, then reboot and follow that with the Install and then reboot.

  • Unable to download previous version of Flash Player?

I am unable to view flash videos on some websites and able to on others.  I have found many possible solutions on here and other websites but have not yet been able to fix the problem.  I have decided to try and revert back to the previous version of flash player and see if that would work.  I have followed and completed Chris Campbells post for cleanly uninstalling flash player:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4487439#4487439
My problem however is that when I try and download a previous version from the archive page it never downloads.  It just keeps saying 'Loading...' forever.  How do I download the previous version?

Can you try downloading the latest 10.3 release from these links?

  • How do I revert to a previous version of Flash Player?

While we always recommend using the latest version of Flash Player, sometimes problems are encountered in a new release that were not present in a previous release.  If you are unable to work around these problems and they block functionality you rely on, rolling back to a previous version might be required until an update is made available.  This FAQ will walk you through the steps required for reverting back to a previous version of Flash Player.
Please note that Google Chrome provides it's own version of Flash Player.  For more details on this, along with instructions for using a version other than the default with Chrome, please see: Flash Player with Google Chrome.

    1. Follow the steps in the "How do I do a clean install of Flash Player" FAQ, but stop at the end before installing the most recent version
    2. Install the latest Flash Player ESR release.
The Flash Player ESR release provides a player with all known security patches applied.
If downloading from the Flash Player archives, please note that you will be downloading a .zip file that will contain installers for all operating systems.
Unzip the archive and navigate into the appropriate folder (you can safely ignore the folder that ends with "_debug").
Run the appropriate installer for your operating system and browser.
If installing for Internet Explorer, run the installer with "winax" in the file name.
For Windows, running the executable that ends with .exe is recommended.
When presented with the dialog that allows you to select your update method, select "Notify me to install updates".

Hey Chris, thanks for all the keeping up with us and stuff.  I have an issue and i'm not sure if this was already discussed (if so sorry). Windows 8 IE 10 I'm getting an error tying to downgrade my customers to the beta.  The message i'm getting is
    The installation encountered errors:
Your Microsoft Explorer browser includes the latest version on the Adobe Flash Player built-in. Windows Update will inform you when new versions of Flash Player are available.
I have done my research and I cannot find how to fix this issue.  I have ran the uninstaller multiple times and restarted blah blah all the goodies.  It will not let me install the beta.
Please help..... any idea how to get beta running on hundreds of my customers machines?
The beta work's great it seems like and I wouldn't mind installing the beta on all their machines till the final release (which seems like a few weeks away)
    Thanks again, Tim

  • How to download previous versions of apps

hey i am a crazy player of zynga and i hate new version of zynga app..so how i download previous versions of zynga app..
    pls pls pls tell me,

For some apps you can download previous compatible versions of apps - but not all app developers support that, and even if they do then you can only download the most recent version that your device supports (so if their current version requires iOS 7+ then that is the only version that your iOS 7 device could download).
Do you have a copy of the previous anywhere ? If you do then you could delete the current version from your device (which will delete its content/settings) and sync that older version back.

  • How to install older versions of Flash Player(ActiveX) in Win 8?

    Hello all,
How to install older version of Flash Player in Windows 8? and how to uninstall default Flash Player that come from IE10 in Windows 8?
Actually I want to install Adobe_Flash_Player_(IE)_v11.7.700.224.exe in Windows 8.
Is it possible to overcome this issue? If it is not, could you share me your information on this issue?
    Thanks in advance.
    RK.

    Thank you for reply..
Actually i uninstalled the existing version of Flash Player from my Windows 8 PC, but when i tried to install the older version, it was not allowing me to install and was showing that my browser is included with latest version.
Even i followed the below given websites, it didn't given any remedy for it.
    http://flash-focus.blogspot.in/2007/03/installing-previous-versions-of-flash.html

So that my PC is restricting the older version installation from somewhere which holds the version information and that user cannot modify/delete that information. If i know that mystery i can install any version of Flash Player in my Windows 8.
I hope i will find this.
    Thanks for your support.

  • How do I install a previous version of Flash Player

I need to restore a prior version of Flash Player. I found the web site that has the archived versions of Flash Player but I don't know what to do after I download the archive.

    Windows 7 64 bit
    IE 8.0.7600.16385
I downloaded archive FTP10.1_archive. It appears that the archive I downloaded may have two releases in it:
    10_1r82_76
    10_1r53_64
Since I don't know what version I had before the problems started, I want to work my way backwards through the archives until I find one that works with the video I am having an issue with, so I am starting with 10_1r82_76. If that doesn't work, I want to uninstall and try 10_1r53_64. If that doesn't work I want to download and install the version(s) labeled Flash Player 10. If that doesn't work, the version(s) labeled Flash Player 9.0.280 and higher, etc.

  • How to Download Sound Clips in Flash Player 9?

Some of our audio book publishers use the Adobe Flash Player
9 to offer sound clips. I am quite familiar with how to download,
to our audio books Web store, other types of sound clips such as
wma and mp3 but haven't figured out how to download the Flash
    Player 9 files.
I would appreciate advice on how to download the Flash Player
    9 sound clips.

Go to this Adobe website to see what version you currently have: Flash Player Checker. Then there's a link on the page to send you to the download page for the latest version. This is the only page one should use to download and install the Flash Player.

  • Installing previous version of flash player

    Up front:
    I know - I know - I am in the wrong group/forum.
    But
    a) when posting earlier I got something of a not authorized error
    b) when searching for a flash player forum, most were greyed out
    c) my endless searches for a forum admin regretfully remained in vain
As my last restort I am posting here...
    I have resp. want...:
    1. uninstalled Flash Player as outlined on http://forums.adobe.com/message/4041846
(How do I do a clean install of Flash Player?)
    2. IE11 x64 and Firefox on my Windows 7 x64
    3. downloaded/extracted fp_10.3.183.20_archive.zip and found below files suitable for installation
    flashplayer10_3r183_20_win_sa.exe
    flashplayer10_3r183_20_win.exe
    flashplayer10_3r183_20_winax.exe
    4. installed flashplayer10_3r183_20_win.exe, but for IE this was not suitable
    5. installed flashplayer10_3r183_20_winax.exe but IE still asked for Flash Player to be installed
For some reason (long story) I need an old version suitable for FF and IE to be installed.
    Q: how am I to proceed ??
i.e. what files no I need for these two browsers?
    Thanks

    Hi,
The implementations of Flash Player in Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox (and even Firefox between WinXP and Win7) are all significantly different software.
In the face of the modern security threat landscape, one of the security-in-depth measures we've taken is an approach called sandboxing, which attempts to isolate the Flash Player processes that deal with untrusted content, and handles that content while operating with the least privileges possible.  This way if a potential exploit does slip through our defenses and our process ends up under the control of malicious code, that code lacks the permission to do anything interesting.  A more technical explanation of the approach can be found here: http://blogs.adobe.com/asset/2012/06/inside-flash-player-protected-mode-for-firefox.html
All of this additional processing and communication comes at a cost, and the sandboxing approaches in Chrome, IE and Firefox are significantly different.  Modern Chrome and IE browsers impose sandboxing on plug-ins at an architectural level, while we've retrofitted a sandboxing approach to Firefox.
A retrofitted approach is necessarily less efficient, and you're seeing a bottleneck there as we pass each downloaded packet through multiple processes in order to achieve the necessary level of isolation.  We've already tuned this significantly.  I think you would see a performance jump in Firefox if you went back to Flash Player 10, because you would have a version that pre-dates protected mode.
Long story short, diagnosing network problems using Flash is probably not the best approach.
The bandwidth measurement tool is downloading data through Flash because it makes it easy to write a pretty user interface.  This is probably not representative of most of the things you're downloading, aside from streaming video.
The version of Flash installed isn't going to affect a typical file download in the browser, or your BitTorrent throughput.
Having one sample for each browser isn't enough to draw any meaningful conclusions.  There are too many possible factors that could affect throughput to allow you to use a small sample.  This data is going to be very noisy.   At minimum, you'd want dozens of samples at various time periods for each target.
There are excellent, purpose-built network diagnostic tools available for conducting a meaningful analysis.
With respect to the confusion about what asset to install:
Our archived versions are intended for use by Flash developers with an understanding of the technology.  All of these versions have known security vulnerabilities, and we absolutely do not recommend them for general web browsing.  You should always run the current version of Flash Player.
Internet Explorer uses ActiveX controls for plug-ins.  Most other browsers use the Netscape Plug-In API (NPAPI Plug-In).  Chrome and Chromium-based browsers use a more modern PPAPI (Pepper Plug-in API Architecture).
So for Internet Explorer, you want the flashplayer10_3r183_20_winax.exe (win = Windows, ax = ActiveX) installer.
When a website presents you with an "Install Flash" message, that message is generated by JavaScript on the page.  Sometimes that JavaScript makes bad assumptions (like Internet Explorer or Flash versions will be single-digits) or they require a minimum version of Flash because they're dependent on Features in those versions, or want to encourage you to be secure.
    Hope that helps!

  • Need assistance with uninstalling previous version of Flash Player.

I am using SCCM to first deploy the unistall, then a new config file, and finally the install of Flash Player 11.8.800.xx.  With the last few versions of Flash Player, the uninstall command line is failing with a 1003 error.  I have tried uninstall_flash_player.exe -uninstall and also tried the switch /silent and no switch at all.  Same error.   These steps have worked in the past.  If I run the execute manually it works.  Any suggestions for a working silent uninstall command line for use with SCCM?  My test systems consist of win7-32 bit and 64 bit and Vista.  All error with 1003.

The uninstaller I used the first time was downloaded in June.  I had problems with it.  The product version on the uninstaller was 11.7.700.224.  Today under your suggestion, I downloaded the uninstaller again and it is for product version 11.8.800.94.  If I was removing Flash Player 11.7.700.169 wouldn't either version work for me?  Today's version did work after updated my package and used the -uninstall switch on my first test system.  Trying it on a couple more machines.

  • How to identify which version of Flash Player?

I'm using MacBook Pro OS 10.6.5.  When I go to "Get Info" to see which version of Flash Player is installed, I can't see any version listed.  I can only see date modified (28 July 2010), copyright dates, file size etc.  So I don't know whether I need to upgrade to Flash Player 10.1 or whether I'm already running that version.  Any help please?

    Many thanks in advance.

Thank you! I finally figured it out a solution!! I saved the swf as a flash 10.1 document rather than the pre-set 10.2 and am happy to report that it worked. I've been able to view it on an imac and a windows device but it still doesn't work on an ipad. The only solution I can think of for this is to have a link at the top of my page that says " ipad and i phone users click here" --- and the link would be www.mysite.com/idevice"
where there would be an exact replica of my page minus the annimated banner OR with a version that would be viewable on an I pad/phone.
