ONetflix is requiring that silverlight be installed. Silverlight will not download onto my c omputer because "a newer verison is already on my computer", I have many times deleted anthing with "starlight" in it and still can't install it. Both Netflix and Apple have not been abole to help me in the 3 or so hours that I have spent with tech support.

sorry for hijacking but I have a related question to do with certificates.
I had to set up virtual domains manually instead of through the GUI and the server ssl site is now locked to a certificate that is about to expire and no longer needed, I can't change the certificate in the web gui because it was created manually, I can't delete the certificate because it is assigned to the server ssl website and I can't manually edit the conf files to point to a different certificate becasue it breaks it, any ideas?

but I could not figure out how to download a video I made on the same memory card, not to Aperture which of course does not accept video but to my computer.
Aperture does import movies from your memory card, if you do nor disable it in the "Import" settings:
In the "File Types" brick of the "Import" setting make sure that "Exclude videos" is unchecked, and the "Raw&Jpeg" setting should be set to "Both".
I turned off Aperture and then searched in my computer but the camera was not recognized anywhere in my Mac Book.
Probably you dismounted the camera, when you finished importing into Aperture. You could try to unplug it and reconnect it, and then check, if iMovie will recognize the camera.

On the contrary I suggested NOT to go on that route.
Didn't provide support didn't discuss, just mentioned.

Sounds like you are using photoshop elements and not photoshop. As photoshop does not store any images. For photoshop all images are where ever you placed them which can be moved or copied using your OS's default file browser.
Since I mever used elements, I can only guess, that the database in elements only points to the original files, Try right clicking on on of the files and see if it has an option of viewing in your file browser. This would give you the location so you can copy or move files to your flash drive.
I am using file browser loosely as I do not know if you have Windows or a Mac.

Help! I cannot figure out how to download my gazillion photos onto the computer. I am also a technophobe, so I have no idea what a media card is (from what I have learned I need one ... One option is to use a program like mIQ from bestbuy mobile. I use it and it syncs whatever I choose, including pictures. As far as using your computer to remove them, if you have a card reader, that would be the easiest imo. You can also use your USB cable to connect the phone to the computer. Make sure you have mass storage mode enabled. Do this by going to the menu screen and choose tools>memory>where it says Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected choose Prompt so you will always have a choice. When you connect, a menu will prompt you to enable this mode, choose yes. You will then get an Auto Play window>choose Open to View Files>BlackBerry>pictures. This will open a window with all of your pictures. Hope I was able to help!

The short answer is that youtube videos aren't meant to be downloaded, and are usually the intellectual property of the poster. I would suggest sending a message via youtube to the video poster and requesting a copy of the video file. Explain to the poster what you intend to do with the video and why.
If they are willing to send you a copy of the video file, then from there you would want to use DVD creator software if you want to make it a playable DVD. You may be able to find a free DVD creation program from Cnet's download.com

How iCloud downloads to the Mac

Does Apple want us to only create and edit "iCloud documents" on iOS devices and sync them to the Mac through iTunes? Either that or should I expect some future version of iWork to seamlessy integrate with iCloud in a way that we don't have to think about Folders?
I guess I'm used to how Evernote syncs to the Evernote software on the Mac. I just find it a bit awkward how you have to manually download a document from iCloud to the Mac only to have it download to the Downloads Folder. I then have to move the document from the Downloads Folder to it's respective Folder.
I'm asking this because I've given up on Evernote and I'm trialling the idea of using Pages to create my "notes". I'm syncing with iCloud and using Pages on my iPhone, iPad and my MacBook Pro.
