Hi,
Like we have utilities for downloading and uploading ABAP Reports, SAP Scripts & Dynpros; does anybody have some tool to download data dictionary objects from one system and uploading it onto another??
Else we would have to use transports from source to destination - which is my fallback option.
Any pointers to such tools would be highly appreciated.

Program RSAQR3TR is the standard program.
You can simply download your infoset/query from your source system and upload the file into your destination system.
It should works.
If, for some reason you are not authorized to upload/download, you can create a transport and import it using the usual way.

program name behind query: SQ01 / Query / More function / Display report name
for transport use program RSAQ3TR (from SE38)
correct process:
export from source system with above program (it creates a transport request)
release transport (like any other transport)
import transport into target system
import transport with the above program

As all you said I have used apache third party jars to upload a file into server.
Thanks for help me out regarding this issue.
But Now what the problem is When I run this locally it is running fine.
When I deploy it on server It is giving the following exception.
SRVE0026E: [Servlet Error]-[UploadLetter]: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/commons/fileupload/FileUpload
these files are in classpath.and successfully compiled but in runtime this is happening
can anyone have any idea on this..??

Open the Preferences panel (Edit menu on Windows, Dreamweaver menu on a Mac), and select the Site category. There are two checkboxes there for dependent files. Make sure both are selected. The Dreamweaver default is NOT to upload/download dependent files. You need to click Yes, if you want the dependent files to be included.

Hi,
You cannot just download and upload module pool programs .
There are 2 different ways.
1. Copy all the includes and and create the same in the target system. You can download and upload the the Screen.
But GUI status you have to manually create.
2. If you have completely saved the module-pool program in one Workbench request(including Z tables u have used) in the original system ,just release the workbench request and copy the data file and co file and upload to the target system ( use CG3Y & CG3Z).
If the workbench is a Local Request save it in a Transport of copies and then move.

Search for com.bea.content.manager.servlets.ShowBinaryServlet class and com.bea.content.manager.servlets.DownloadBinaryServlet class. You can use one of these depending on your requirment. I think there is not jsp tag for these classes so you have to use scriptlets.

I downloaded OAF Personalizations via the "Functional Admin" Resp and also via the "oracle.jrad.tools.xml.exporter.XMLExporter " utility and found a minor difference in the XML generated in both the ways.
XML Generated:

Since we are using AD patch to deploy the personalizations across instances (we are not doing it manually), the XML generated by "Func Admin" doesnt work any longer. however, the XML generated using the Utility works fine.
Is this a bug?. We are in R12 (12.0.4)

Hi,
I faced the same issue some time back.
This is not a bug. If you don't have a package variable in the customization tag then you have to mention it in xmlImpoter command.
Since your using the AD patch, you have to manually add the package name into the XML file or use XMLExporter to extract the personalization.

No need to record again. You can save the recording session by generating the program in transaction SHDB. Then you can download the BDC program and upload to another SAP client using transaction SE38.
