How to download Windows 7 Starter

Hello,
I have bought an ASUS 1005P netbook, it has a windows 7 starter pre-installed.
In the back of my netbook, there is a serial for windows 7 starter too.
I want to re-install my windows 7 starter, But I have not installation DVD of this. The Asus doesn't provide me any DVD with netbook.
From where I can download windows 7 starter ?

to re-install the Windows 7 (Operating System = OS) you may use recovery partition, the recovery partition has been reserved at hidden space at your HDD to restore the operating system, dirver and utility. please follow these step:
ensure to connect your netbook to the AC power adapter before using F9 recovery to avoid recovery failure
Press (F9) during bootup, if the netbook at on posisiton, you may restart then pre F9 during bootup (ensure to press F9 only once during bootup)
Click Recovery in the Recovery System dialog box to start the system recovery
the system start system recovery automatically and follow the onscreen instruction to complete the recovery process
press F9 when booting the netbook, but before do that recovery, you must ensure that the netbook connect to the AC power adapter to avoid recovery failure
just for your information, new netbook should be came with the Support DVD and recovery system otherwise you may ask to the vendor where you bought about that.

I have some other questions related to this :
1- If I click on recover, Do it will remove all of my hard disk data? or only the data of drive c get deleted?
2- If I click on backup, it says to insert an external storage to save the backup on it, but How I can recover this backup ? What will occur If I click on recover ? It ask me for an backup file or just restore the Asus backup which is on hidden drive ?

You can no longer can download a Windows 7 ISO as of mid February because Microsoft has pulled the plug on downloads.
If you do not have recovery disks you may order them from HP if available.
If you live in the USA/Canada, call this number... 1-800-334-5144.
If you do not live in the USA/Canada, call the HP business PC support number for the country you live in.

How to download Windows?

I'm experiencing some extreme frustration trying to figure out the process of purchasing and downloading Windows for the purpose of installing on my son's new MacBook Pro via Boot Camp.
Can someone clarify for me exactly what the procedure is for downloading an ISO file that can be used with Boot Camp? I was told by Microsoft earlier that I had to run some stupid installer on a Windows machine in order to get the ISO, and that there was no other way to get the ISO... which seems wrong, as how would a Mac user with no Windows systems install Windows via Boot Camp, onto a Mac with no optical drive, if that's true?
I currently have something downloading on my wife's Windows PC, but I have exactly zero confidence that what I'm going to end up with at the end of the hours-long download time will actually be what I need, and am fearful that it's going to install the horrid Windows 8 over my wife's Windows 7 system.
Any guidance? If so, thanks in advance!

How to rebuild Windows 7 start menu?

Having had a virus and removed it successfully I am left with an odd problem.
The virus, amongst other things, seems to have altered the start menu removing the "pinned" programs which is not a problem but also removing the contents from the folders in "all programs" for instance under "Microsoft Office" there is a sub folder called "office tools" (empty) but nothing else.
The programs are all still there and work they just aren't available in the start menu. There must be a way of rebuilding this menu without having to reinstall every one of the very many pieces of software on the machine.
Suggestions welcome.

Start Menu common to all users is C:\users\all users\microsoft\windows\start menu.
For each user C:\users\username\appdata\roaming\Microsoft\window s\start menu.
By default these are hidden folders.
Open using Windows Explorer and create shortcuts, copy, paste etc.

Try the compatibility modes. if that doesn't work, then probably you will have toi run a virtualization software with Win XP and then run AI 9 from within that environment. It is, after all, ancient. already was, when XP was fresh...

Microsoft is working on Windows Mobile 7, but Windows Mobile 6.5 is the most recent version of Windows Mobile available. In addition, you can't install Windows Mobile on a BlackBerry.

Hi Jaimie,
To install Windows via Boot Camp you will need to have a copy of Windows on a physical dvd disc.
If your purchase provides you with an ".ISO" file then you can simply burn this to a DVD and then follow the standard Boot Camp installation instructions.

When I have the downloads window open and I close the browser window, the next time I reopen the browser while the downloads are still going, it returns me to the last page I was on. All previous versions of Firefox would return me to my homepage which I would prefer. Please let me know if this is possible.

When you re-open Firefox and choose Restore Session, by default it picks up your most-recently-open window, and the other windows should then show up in Recently Closed Windows.
The Firefox add-on Session Manager lets you manage how many closed windows and closed tabs are saved, in case it's not enough.

Windows 7 starter edition how do i download latest version of microsoft silverlight?

Could somebody please confirm whether Windows 7 Starter does indeed NOT support Silverlight or otherwise ? Surely Microsoft would have indicated this somewhere. Was it not perhaps the browser used which was not supported with regards to the original post.

I am unable to determine it Silverlight will work on Windows 7 starter. I did read a comments on the Windows support site, where a user stated he had to install IE 9 for it to work properly

S10-2 How can I get Windows 7 Starter downloaded

My grandaughters S10-2 that I bought for her last March is having problems with Windows 7 Starter. I tried to upgrade to the full version of Windows 7 but about 30% into the download it stopped and could not be completed. Is there any way to get Windows 7 Starter downloaded again to the netbook so I can download the full version?

you mean updates of different version of windows 7?
if it's different version of windows 7, you cannot download it. also you have to buy new licence.
( you can download the iso file but still you need licence )

How can I keep the download window plus a status bar in the bottom side of my navigator?

I downloaded firefox 4 today and the first thing I noticed is that my status bar for downloads at the bottom side of my navigator it's gone! so I downloaded a plugin called "statusbar" and I don't like it at all... it is nothing like my old status bar and it takes away my big download window (the one that you can see even if you minimize the navigator); how can I make it back??
I like to have both things (the big window and the status bar) and I can't make it back using the options of the plugin.
Besides that, if I have the new statusbar it doesn't advice me when the download ends (that note that pops up when it's over saying "download finished" really useful when you're watching a video on fullscreen) and I can't change that either from the plugin options!
I know that not every plugin are made by firefox so if you can't help me please let me know anyway so I can go back to the latest firefox version to have my big downoloads window plus the statusbar at the bottom and the note all at a time!

I want to restrict the number of downloads at a time. Other downloads should be in a queue. For example, if I restrict as 5 downloads are available at a time, the 6th download should be in a queue and should start any one of the download is completed. And the next download should resume ... and so on. So at any point of time only 5 (or it should be specified) downloads should be possible. Is there any settings can be done in FireFox for this? Please help.

IMHO Windows would be the place to start.
Why do you want to load CS5 for Windows?
Adobe does produce a version of CS5 that runs on OS X so that it would not be necessary for you to have to screw around with Windows. Personally that would be the way to go and avoid the hassles of Windows.
