How to drag files to Bluray disc in bluray internal burner, not working.

Been trying to burn various files to my MCE Tech's Bluray internal burner on my early 2008 MAC PRO...was able to do it from FCP 7 to burn to this drive a mov file and play it on a set top player. But all I want to do now is drag a folder with about 21GB of folders/files to a Verbatim 25 GB disc in my bluray internal burner.
When I do this via dragging the folder to disc and then try to burn it by dragging disc to dock/trash I get the menu alright to burn it, then I press ok and it returns an error message saying my folder is too big, disc can't do it, yet the folder is only 21 GB and my disc is a blank 25GB...tried another disc just in case, same problem. How to burn these files as a data Bluray - surely there's a way on the MAC PRO?

Finder does not support Blu-Ray...it will not recognize your 25 GB blu-ray disc as anything more than a DVD. You'll need a third-party program...I think Toast might have support for Blu-ray, but there don't seem to be any other programs.

Tom at the Genius Bar told me that Option Delete would work. It does not.
I had to upgrade to iTunes 11.1.(I26) because it is required with OS7 on my iPod Touch (5th Gen). I have tried shutting down iTunes, then shutting down the entire system. This is the first in many visits that the Genius Bar gave me a solution that did not work.
This is a big awkward computer locked to my desk. I would rather not unlock it and then carry it through a shopping center to the Genius Bar if i can avoid oit.
When I installed iTunes 11.1, I discovered that Ihad to resubscribe to virtually all of the podcasts that I had previously been subscribed to. That was a surprise.

I did not read the rather long post. If you wish to reinstall OS X 10.4, use your software install DVD. Backup is essential. To minimize your risk, I would use an archive and install:

In that way, you will have a fresh copy of OS X and your current settings will be preserved.
Incidentally, I do not agree that the printer problem is best solved by reinstalling OS X. I have had HP printers for sometime and, on one occasion, had difficulty after an upgrade. HP technical support walked me through uninstalling all traces of the HP driver and then reinstalling.

I've done some research on the SQLite database. Whenever Aperture hangs up (like during auto-stack or opening the filter hud) there are thousands of SQLite queries happening. These SQLite queries cause massive file I/O because the database is stored on the disk as 1kb pages. However, the OS is caching the database file; mine's only 12MB. I'm trying to track down some performance numbers for SQLite on osx but having trouble.
It's starting to look like most of the speed problems are in the libraries that Aperture uses instead of the actual Aperture code. Of course, that doesn't completely let the developers off the hook since they choose to use them in the first place.
Oh, and if anyone is curious, the database is completely open to queries using the command line sqlite3 tool. Here's the language reference http://www.sqlite.org/lang.html

Firefox will not appear in the Market for most phones with incompatible hardware. You can check if your phone is supported here:

Even on some supported devices, a bug in the Market software prevents Firefox from showing up. This may be related to the fairly recent Android Market app update. Hi there. Hear are some other options . Hold down for click on the track pad while restarting and keep it down all the way thru boot. Or use right click on a mouse. If it's stuck, sometimes sticking a business card in top edge of slot while trying the eject option can work.

Assuming you are getting stack overflows (likely if you're unfamiliar with recursive calls), you need to put some sort of check condition inside the method so it doesn't call itself endlessly (AKA "infinite recursion").

The blog was incorrect. Photomerge should work in the trial, too.
When things get weird in PSE the first thing to do is to delete the prefs. Go to the editor preferences>general, click this button and restart the editor:

Dragging files onto a disc

I have recently got a new lap top. This one is a MacBook Pro, my previous one was a Power Book.
With my power book, if I wanted to put a file onto a disc I would just drag it.
When I do this with this computer it only drags a thumbnail of the file, not the file itself and it's contents.
Please help!

I'm putting movies onto a DVD to burn.
With my powerbook, with each movie I dragged onto a disc the file would show up on there with the amount of MB / GB it had.
Once the disc capacity was full it would indicate that no other files could be added to the disc.
Now any file I drag on only has a thumb nail at 48KB, regardless of how big the actual file is.
Is the disc capacity filled as it is burned then?
Would I 'manually' look up the file size of each movie and add them up so I know how many can fit on the disc, or is there an 'automatic' way of knowing this as there was previously?
ETA. Oh, and just in case it makes a difference my Mac is a 10. 5.8, so not actually a 10 . 6

I am annoyed by, I think, the same problem. I would like to drag Pages files directly to the finder in the dock, but now with Mavericks I can not do this. It is bothersome to have to click on the finder to open it up when I did not have to do that with the old operating system. I hope someone can help us both out.
I also hope that in the next update Apple addresses the concerns many are having with the newest version of Pages. Until something is changed, I am sticking with old Pages because I find it to be a much better program to use.

I successfully restored my Toshiba 1110 with no CD Rom. The CD Rom on the Toshiba is not robust. Many of them fail. You need a copy of Windows 98 and a Copy of Windows XP. The XP you loaded on your desktop will work because the Windows Production Key should be on the bottom of your computer. You also need to buy an adapter from 40 pin to 44 pin for the EIDE cable. This will cost about $10 and will let you install the laptop HD in your desktop computer.
The problem is that you cannot Windows XP Setup unless you are in windows. You can, however, boot a Dos floppy disk. Windows XP will not run in the Toshiba unless it is set-up from inside the computer. My system involves creating a small partition on the hard drive and loading the contents of the CD into the partition then loading Windows from the partition.
1) Use windows XP in your Desktop to create a large partition C: with the HPFS and a small partition D: (10 GB) FAT. You can pull the data cable on your desktop Hard Drive so that you don't format it in error.
2) Copy the contents of the win98 directory on the Windows 98 disk to the same directory on the small partition. Copy the contents of the I386 directory on the XP disk to the same directory on the small partition. Copy the two Setup files from the root of the XP disk to the root of the small directory.
3) Reinstall the Hard drive in your laptop.
4) Boot the laptop with windows 98 or XP boot disk.
5) Setup windows 98 from D:\win98\setup
6) Boot window98 from D: and install Windows XP from D:\setup.
7) Download the Lan driver from the internet then install all other drivers from the internet.
