How to edit a calendar entry?

How can I edit a calendar entry? I get a message saying it is read only.

Editing an event will only work in a calendar that is created on the iPad or synced directly to the device.

Can't edit existing calendar entries (synched with Google)

I have 2 iPhones synched with one Google calendar. Creating/Deleting new entries in any one place properly synchs to the other places. My problem is that when I edit an existing calendar entry from either iPhone and save it, the change is undone shortly afterwards and the entry returns to its previous status. The change can be to any field (description, date, time, duration, etc). This occurs on one-time entries as well as recurring calendar events.
Any ideas on how to fix this? TIA!

From my experience, sometimes the issue may occur if offline address book cannot be updated.
To manually force a download of the latest offline address book, please take the following steps:
Delete the old offline Address Book which is located in the following Outlook folders:
For Windows 7: \Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Offline Address Books
In Outlook client, click the Send/Receive tag on the top.
Go to Send/Receive Groups->click Download Address Book.
Since the issue only occur on Outlook, I recommend you to post this issue on Outlook Forum. Here is the link:

How to delete double calendar entries

I have double calendar entries on my iphone. How do I delete these double entries?

I have the same problem. Now the entries are not just double, I have them four times. It looks like it is just about the full day events like birthdays. I think it is may be caused by my previous phone. All the double entries are old ones. I had an "HTC touch cruise" (totally crap) and transferred all my data to outlook an then to my iPhone. All the entries are marked with four different colors and it tells me that I have a lot of different calanders. But I have never created them.
Please, can anyone help? Imagine you have a day when three friends have birthday, my phone will send me 12 notification. :-(

1.   I tried using SE16N and &SAP_EDIT but im unable to get entries to edit.
2.   I tried using '/h' and 'code = edit' but it is prompting me to delete an entry but not edit.
3.   I tried using modify statement. But in vain.
I tried this statements through programatically,
                        MODIFY itab FROM wa_itab TRANSPORTING zabc.
                        MODIFY zsample_02 FROM itab.
please suggest with out writing a program, if possible.

2. Enter FM SE16N_INTERFACE and execute
3. Give table name in Itab,

4. Press F8

How to copy a calendar entry?

I'm looking for an easy way to copy a calendar entry. For example, say you're to meet with the same group every other Tuesday for three weeks. Is there an easy way to copy the calendar entry and paste it into the three Tuesdays?

Make it a recurring entry.

How to delete duplicate calendar entries on N8?

Hi,
I recently added a .ics file to add some calendar entries into my N8 calendar. But somehow the same calendar file was added multiple times and now I have 5 duplicate calendar entries for each day.
Is there a way to delete these calendar entries without deleting my old calendar entries? The .ics file was a fixture list of a club and has a lot of entries so deleting them one entry by entry is not an option.

Normally the fastest and easiest solution is:
Go to calendar/ Calendars Menu/ Hide or Delete any calendars that you can see (leave Personal or any you use the most)
It did the job for me.

Try Settings>iCloud>Calendars>On, the edit button should reappear.

Hi iPad users - I seem to have this problem with both the iPhone and iPad. I can make entries onto my computers calendar and they will sync properly on either the iPad or iPhone, but when I enter new information on the iPad or iPhone, which is usually the case, syncing does not result in transfer of updated information from my devices calendar to the computer's calendar. What am I missing here? Thanks!

Same problem as TrailJim, but 4 related problems...
Synced data did NOT xfer to Mac from iPhone (did xfer the other way). I rechecked settings and synced again. Still none of the info from iPhone went to computer.
But now I have FOUR COPIES of some calendar items, three copies of some and two copies of others in the iPhone. There are hundreds, possibly thousands of duplicates going back several years and reaching into the future. Many of these dupes were not on the Mac at all- the system duplicated items that were only on the iPhone.
It takes 15 seconds to delete each duplicate item (five 'clicks', two scrolls)- there is no bulk delete option. Duplicates will take hours to remove. It was only 3 months ago I finished cleaning out the duplicates from the last sync. OK, I cleaned cleaned out 1 year of data in about 1.4 hours. I noticed that data deleted long ago re-appeared after the sync. The iOS calendar crashed twice and the entire iPhone crashed once during editing.
And still it won't xfer calendar items from iPhone to Mac. So these are the 5 problems:
data won't transfer from iPhone to Mac
massive duplication of data during sync
no way to quickly remove duplicates
deleted data never goes away
iOS device crashes during massive editing
After 4 years Apple still can't get sync right. Are there any workarounds? A paper calendar would save hours of work every year. A Google calendar would probably work more reliably if you don't mind sharing your personal data with them. Not to mention all the other data- contacts, music, etc that people have lost with this sync system.

How to eliminate duplicate calendar entries after sync with iCloud ?

I just upgraded my iPhone 4 to IOS5 and set up sync through iCloud. Now all my iCal entries appear twice on the iPhone, even though they appear only once on my Mac mini (running Lion).
How do I stop this happening? And how do I get a clean calendar on the iPhone?

Ok, I solved my own problem. I thought I had unchecked "Sync Calendar" in iTunes on the Mac mini, but it turns out I had not. As soon as I unchecked that box and let the system delete that calendar, all the duplicate entries went away.

One more reason to get people to use something other than a Mac where everything is exptected to be done for you.
And asking for "fast help"? what is with that.Never learning to use search engines or darn... Windows will ask what you want to open a file with and search also.
I think email attachments even pdf be sure who and expected it,, and they should be saved to a file.

We have an requirement where client wants that if an entry is added in an calendar (All day recurrent event) then that entry should come on top. The OOTB behavior is that if any "All day recurrent" entry is added or modified for any day,

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to re-order all day events on calendar view in SharePoint 2010.
You can save the calendar list as a template, download the file and change it to a CAB file, then open the file, open the mainifest.xml, then change the “OrderBy” clause based on the
Created column.
After that, you need to re-add the xml file into the CAB file, then change the CAB to stp file, and upload the CAB file into SharePoint.

I have lots of duplicates in my Apple Calendar and it would be the easiest to just purge the whole lot. How do I do that?

If the Outlook calendar is empty, and you check PC overwrites iPhone in the Advanced section of the info tab, that should do it. Reset the sync history under the Preferences / iPhone tab in iTunes.

8830 World Edition - Deleted Calendar Entries

I have a user, who is missing nearly a years worth of Calendar item, both the handheld, and the Exchange server.
Thier device is running pretty close to full memory, and I have read a couple of posts on other forums that state that a BB will go after calendar items if it needs space.

Would an SD Card give the device more storage for email/calendar items or is the SD media files only?

The SD card is indeed for media files only (well, technically, any true "file"). All of the PIM Data is stored within the devices AppMemory area. I'm actually surprised that, in keeping itself healthy (by deleting old things), the BB also removed the items from the server. But, then again, I've never let mine get to that point. And, lastly, no -- there is nothing about the auto-deletion (to keep the BB healthy) you can do...it is a core function of the device. Here are some guidelines to follow:
