How to edit a OLE 2 object

Hi,
I am trying to edit an OLE2 object (word document) in a report. whatever i do the i cannot select the object to edit. The object is contained in a repeating frame. Please help...

If you do a search, this has been mentioned a number of times. There is no current way possible to modify a number in the keypad that you have copy and pasted from another location. A work around is to paste it to Notes and touch the number to dial from there. If this is something you would like to see, please send feedback to www.apple.com/feedback.

  • Dynamic OLE object not displaying proper file

We are using CR IX R2. I have a report that I would like to attach a pdf to. This pdf will be different depending on the selection of data from the rest of the report. The file location is always the same but again the name of the file will vary.
The location and name of the file are listed in one field of a table. Is there a way to do this. When I edit the OLE object and select the field where  the file resides it only shows the original document that I choose.
At this point I am testing it in a blank report before I create the subreport to add it to our existing report.
    Any suggestions?

What happens if you try this link:
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/e0fbebaf-07e0-2c10-ad9a-d45810ae7109&overridelayout=true
It should open the PDF Browser viewer. If it doesn't then you likely need to add PDF support to your browser. Or configure PDF or install the latest version. Could be a permission issue also.

  • Problem with embedded OLE objects

I am using Outlook as client.
I sent mail with Excel table as embeddet object.
Outlook can after what read and show this mail.
But if I read this mail with SOAP I get a message body without Excel table.
I thought it should be in attachment.
hasAttachments-filed in mail object is true, but attachments-filed is empty (not null!): attachments=AttachmentItemInfo[0].
I am reading mail with getItemRequest and view = "default attachments attachment message attachments".
We are using Groupwise 8.0.1 HP1.
What is hier wrong? How can I read OLE object with SOAP?

The complete response was not included.
If you are trying to save an embedded OLE attachment,
there is no logic to do that on the POA, the attachment
    will be dropped.

  • Using the edit as Smart Object option.

I'm probably way behind the ball here, but I can't understand how the edit as smart object works. Sure I can open the file as a smart object in PS3, I can, say, apply the Distort/Lens filter to do a perspective transformation - but then how do I save and send it back to Lightroom? Using Export Smart Object just seems to send a file back to Lightroom but my transformation has disappeared. Close and save will create a file - so I still end up creating a new Tif everytime I use PS - but now manually synchronise. Where is the benefit?
I know I need a nice Video Tutorial or instruction but can't find one!
    Anyone know of one?
    Many thanks. Peter

    > Yes, add me to the list of being in need of an explanation of how exactly this is supposed to work. I'm hoping that it might be included in the Michael Reichmann and Jeff Schewe video that I purchased recently but as yet haven't downloaded all episodes.
There's a bunch of free videos on the NAPP site. They have an episode on Photoshop integration too. http://www.photoshopuser.com/lightroom2/
It's pretty clear how it should work from that video, except that it doesn't. Another bug, perhaps.
EDIT: Also it has been mentioned many times that one should have the PS CS3 10.0.1 Patch installed in order to get this going.

  • How to publish a course with OLE objects?

    Good day!
I made a course with video file. I embeded video file like OLE object by following way:
    1)
    2)
    3)
    4)
So, as You can see- this is working. But! After Publishing this is not working in another computer.. even after when in Publish settings I make that:
    How to be?
    With regards,
    Olga

    Steve!
I saw that folder- that was not, what I wanted. I just wish to play video in
it's own application. As you can see in the picture 1- there only video
without bar- this is my course. On the pic. 2 there is the same video, that
is laying on my hard disk and playing in it's own player. How to make video,
played by it's own application in the course?
    Thank you!

  • How to read OLE objects from Access ??

    Hi,
I have an field of type OLE in my Access Database table. This field has some files stored in it in the form of attachment. The file types of the OLE objects can be different (xls, txt, doc). Now, I want to query the database and find the extension of the files and save it occordingly using java.
    I'm using the following now.
    JdbcOdbcInputStream jois = (JdbcOdbcInputStream) rs     .getBinaryStream("SupportingData");
    byte[] supportingData = jois.readData();
    String data = new String(supportingData);
I'm getting data in binary format and when I try to look into it, all I can see is the header info of the file.
Is there anyother way to read the OLE object easily ?
    Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Mary

How to read appended objects from file with ObjectInputStream? The short answer is you can't.
The long answer is you can if you put some work into it. The general outline would be to create a file with a format that will allow the storage of multiple streams within it. If you use a RandomAccessFile, you can create a header containing the length. If you use streams, you'll have to use a block protocol. The reason for this is that I don't think ObjectInputStream is guaranteed to read the same number of bytes ObjectOutputStream writes to it (e.g., it could skip ending padding or such).
Next, you'll need to create an object that can return more InputStream objects, one per stream written to the file.
Not trivial, but that's how you'd do it.

  • Doubt , how to display ole objects in report builder

Please tell me, how to display ole objects in report builder.
I mean i wanted to print ole object in report, so how to do that.

    Just to clarify Lixia's response.
In Reports 9i we have deprecated our OLE functionality. Reports created in prior versions that contain OLE objects should still run, but you will not be able to create new reports containing OLE objects.

  • How does Rights Managament handle office files containing OLE objects?

I tried to encrypt those office flies that contain multiple OLE objects but it failed. I wondered  if those OLE objects caused this problem so I removed them out of files. Then the encryption process worked fine again. However I'm not sure OLE object is the root cause.  Is anyone know  the process how rights management handle these kind of office files?
Can Rights Managamenet skip the OLE objects and still make those offce files encrypted successfully?
    Thanks.

The Temp Files were in my case at :MobileSync/backup
everytime the restore failes, itunes creates a folder named with the same name adding the crash date and time
in my case for the backup folder name "1d950ba8cfaab2fa172120ae6212c788ed9b07c"
    itunes creates folder named:                "1d950ba8cfaab2fa172120ae6212c788ed9b07c-20131229-004508"

  • How to insert ole object like word doc at runtime

To insert word doc into crystal report

    Hi Vinod,
To add an OLE object in reports follow the steps given below-
1- In CR environment open a Report in which OLE object needs to be added.
2- Click on insert and click on OLE object.
3- A wizard pops up - choose appropriate file for e.g- Microsoft World Document.
4- two buttons will be there-
a> Create new - creates a new world document.
b> Create from new - Includes a exsisting file.
5- one more option is their in wizard -
Show icon(check box) - shows the OLE object as an icon in report.
6- Click on ok and place the object at required position in report.
    Hope it works.

  • How to crop OLE objects?

    Hi there :-)
I have a real big problem: it seems that StarOffice can not crop OLE objects! I can crop images that i inserted, but not other things like autocad drawings.
Will this be fixed? It seems that this will not occur too soon since this feature was not present in older versions and got not implemented this time, possibly in Staroffice 9??

  • OLE Objects - How to open them in Java?

    Hello ppl,
An OLE Object contains a header set by the Access Database and the file itself.
I just quit trying to find a way to remove the OLE header and get only the file, once the file inside the OLE Object might be from a lot of types, like docs, or pdfs...
Now, I just want to take this OLE Object and open it from Java.
Does anybody know any way for me to do this?
    http://edndoc.esri.com/arcobjects/9.2/java/api/arcobjects/com/esri/arcgis/carto/IOleFrameProxy.html#open()
In this link, this method describes exactly what I want. But I dont think Im allowed to use it.
Isnt there any free library that helps inthis subject?
    Thanks in advice.

I don't see that this is a JDBC topic.
    Presumably you googled for this.
You can of course write JNI code to access OLE.

do a check on the wsdl file and how you are passing values in the proxy. The tags for XML are not correct. Open the WSDL in IE and see there must be an error. Or probably when passing the actual values to the XML generated each element is not closed properly. Error says tags dont match.
