How to edit pre made templates

I have a template with

at the begging of the code do I need to set dreamweaver to write in the same way & where & how to do this if needed?

If you want to set this as the default doc type go to Edit > Preferences > New Document - and set "Default Document Type.

Can anyone tell me how to edit the photo blocks on my Template.

This is the way I would do it. (see image below)
Place image.
Live trace - alter dialogue boxes to your preference etc, select OK
Keep image elected - expand
Keep selected - select fill colour and click 'none' and select stroke and give a colour/black and a small pt size.
You should have a outline face/image with no fill and just a stroke.

Editing a Pre-Made template

I bought a premade flash template, however as of now it is
created in non-flash format. I would love to have my top piece as
the flash that it was meant to be. My site is currently

I hear people saying bad things about template monster.com, but
there are a lot of site selling this same template, but I just
ended up buying it from there.
My problem is how do you edit the flash part of it...I
downloaded a free trial of dreamweaver as well as macromedia flash
8. I have folders that I got when I purchased the template, but I
am lost as to how I start actually editing this top half with my
own company name on it and my own navigation key names. I am new to
flash but would like to try to do it myself, but now sure how you
begin this. Thanks for any help.

Hopefully you will find a ".fla" file somewhere in your
folders (supposedly in
a folder named Flash or something similar) Thats the file you
are going to open
in Flash to be able to edit. When you are satisfied with
editing the file to
your liking in Flash you should go to File>Publish (or
Publish settings to be
more precise of what and where you want to output your file).
Now open your
filebrowser and locate the published files there should be
one called .swf and
one called .html. Upload both these files to your webhost
then point to the
html file as your index file. And it should be working.
If you get trouble please post the name of all your folders
and files that you
got from templatemonster.
And btw great looking template, Im really fond of the design
of many of thoose
templates and I usually go there to get inspiration. :)

How to edit a purchased template in Lightroom 4

Hi there!
I purchased a template for Lightroom 4 but can't figure out how to swap out the photos and edit the text. I purchased the text...just need to know how to "import" into LR.. Can this even be done in LR? The person I purchased from said LR does support pdf files. She sent me a tutorial...but it was for photoshop and was talking about "layers" and such... Any help would be appreciated...I'm lost!!

Adjusting pre-made templates

New to using iWeb, great app! although I'm just wrapping my head around it and here lies my question...
With the premade templates there seems to be an un-editable bar down either side of the page which is currently useless space. Is there a way to make the page wider but still remain centred? I would like to put Adword ads in that section but can't figure out how to make it useable space. Everything goes behind the bars and you don't have the option to bring objects to the front?
Second question which kind of relates. In Rapid weaver you can make the pages variable widths. Can you do the same in iWeb? Seems iWeb is rather limiting compared to RW.

I have used both RapidWeaver and iWeb, but am by no means a pro at designing websites. Almost everything you need is in the Inspector. To get to the page size, click on the "Page" tab of the Inspector (the 2nd one from the left at the top), and to get to the size, click on the "Layout" button towards the top of the Page Inspector. There you can tweak the size to whatever you want.
The "bars" you refer to are actually the web page background, which you can change to a color or image on that same Layout part of the Page Inspector. You can't add text there. Just widen your page size if you want to make use of that space, so that it is just covered up.
I switched from RapidWeaver to iWeb almost 2 years ago, so I haven't used it in awhile. At the time I switched, which was when the first version of iWeb came out, I was able to do a ton more tweaking in iWeb than in RapidWeaver, and much more efficiently. Take the time to learn where all the functions are. Becoming proficient with a new program always takes some time, so don't give up too quickly. All of these GUI web designer programs have their limitations, but I've found ways to get around most of them. The only way to get exactly what you envision for your website 100% of the time is to purchase the high-prices pro software, which have a MUCH higher learning curve or learn HTML code. Apple has done a fantastic job of streamlining the creative process in their iLife and iWork suites, and the beauty is that once you can get around in one of their programs, the rest are pretty much the same. How to Edit someone's Template.

Can you help me help out with Templates.
Sometimes when I try to help out with coding issues it appears to me that the page is a template page which I have never used. They have all those "instanceEdit" tags in there.
That seems to me to stop me from editing the code in DW. My way round it is to copy the code into a text file, manually strip out all that stuff and save as an .html file. It takes ages!
Is there an easier way to do that?
I don't use templates in DW - they frighten me.
Should I learn to use them?

I have personally dispensed with DW Templates after a decade of using them.
I now find them restrictive and I regularly found the Template syntax was getting in my way.
I now prefer to code common elements as Server Side Includes.
Others mix Templates with Server Side Includes for the best of both worlds.

How to edit Captivate Handout template

I'd like Captivate 6 handouts to publish in a table that is left justified with the slide notes in the left column and background image in the right column. I don't want any labels like "Slide 1 - Slide 1" or "Slide Notes."

I've searched the internet for over 4 hours today and cannot figure out how to do this, including the Adobe discussion lists. I found a link to a document on Creating Wordoutput Templates. It has lots of tags, but no instructions. I'm not a programmer, and the document was incomprehensible to me.
I found and opened each of the Captivate print templates. The three that show coding are Word docs and none of them have a tag for slide notes. I tried altering one of them and got an error when I tried to publish. The template used for handouts has no coding that I can find or change. When you use the table feature, the images are tiny and it creates multiple tables within the document instead of just one. And, of course, it has the labels for slide notes and slide numbers.
Can anyone send me instructions or a Word template that can be used to do this?

Changing Fonts with a Pre-made Template

I am trying to change the font of the words in the premade template titled "Float." Is this even a possibility? I am having a hard time figuring it out.

it's all grouped according to the dropzone...hit f5 and in your layers tab, right before the name of the group is a little arrow, click it to reveal 3 other groups, repeat the process till you see the text layer.... New to motion? Read the manual and do the tutorials.

I'm starting to do some drum tracking and I'm wondering if there is anywhere on the web to get logic express templates - obviously different from the ones that come with Logic. Specifically, I'd really like a nice drum template with some compression and reverb already set up. Anyone know if there are any available?

Edit Pre-recorded vocals

I have been trying to work out how to edit pre-recorded vocals using the Voicelive 2 and Logic Pro. I have managed to figure out the settings on the voice live 2 but I cannot work out what to do on the logic side of things. This is what I have been told (see below), but I dont understand what this means.
In LOGIC you have to set up a SEND (to VoiceLive 2 via MAUDIO SPDIF out LEFT!!! CHANNEL ONLY) for sending the dry Vocal track and RETURN the processed signal on a new stereo track (from VoiceLive Rack / input source = MAUDIO SPDIF input L & R channels). Don't forget to record enable the track. To control harmony / detecting automatically the key, you may SEND any audio signal (i.e. your instrumental, piano/ rhodes chord track etc.) via MAUDIO SPDIF RIGHT!!! CHANNEL to VL 2.
Would anyone be kind enough to explain what this means and what I need to do? ( i am trying to post edit pre-recorded vocals using voice live 2, logic 9 and m-audio fast track ultra).

How to validate predefine PM template that is made by Apprisal Template Catalog?

I'm customizing TMC talent assessment but some of them don't work well.
I made a predefine PM template through Apprisal Template Catalog(IMG:Talent Management and Talent Development>Assessment of Employees>Talent Assessment>Transport Forms).
However, I cannot set the Process Period of the template(IMG:Talent Management and Talent Development>Assessment of Employees>Talent Assessment>Define Process Periods and Groupings).
In addition I cannot choose the template as a standard template(IMG:Personal Management>Personal Development>Objective Setting and Apprisals>Settings for Predefined Performance Management Process>Edit Performance Management Process).
I guess the function which it enters the template ID to T77TMC_P_T doesn't work well, but I cannot enter template ID to T77TMC_P_T by myself (because It is greyout).
Does anyone know how to validate the predefine template that is made by Apprisal Template Catalog?
(I tried to make the predefined template by Talent Management Configration(IMG:Talent Management and Talent Development>Assessment of Employees>Talent Assessment>Define Forms for Talent Management) and distinguished that it did work well)

This will come after the data was EDITTED and when SAVE was clicked by user in output scren.
Here now in the final internal table(ITAB) you can find the data changed in EDIT mode.

How to edit the page 0 "template" in APEX 4.2

I have an application that has been upgraded to APEX 4.2. On page 0, when I try to move an existing region to Region Position 8 I get an error: "This region position is not in your page template". Looking at the page definition (component view) I can see the name of the template associated with page 0, so I edited that page template and added #REGION_POSITION_08#, but still I get the same error message. So I thought perhaps I would change page 0 to use a different template, but Edit Page does not show the page template at all for page 0.
So I suspect that page 0 is no longer supposed to have a template at all, yet my upgraded application does (sort of) and I can't change it. Any ideas?

I used the login_table for my login page,
which has only two fields username and password as like login screen, in my appliction in the change password page
I used the another table called Update_user
which has four fields,
1.username
2.current_password
3.New_password
4.Retye
and the change password page contains this exact same 4 fields from this Table,
whenever the users entering the 4 fields and if they click the create/update button the data will be stored in the Update_Table
and the password field in the Login_table will be updated based on the following trigger,

       As you said I tried that :APP_USER and I made the username column as read only,
When the values inserted except the username other 3 values inserted into the update_user table and the login_table not updated so the password also not changed,
Is there any other way to directly upadte the password in the Login_table without going for another Table?
Please Give some suggestion.
