How to Edit RAWs first in LR and cto ontinue in RAW in PS-CS2

After having edited RAW photographs in LR I would like to be able to continue my editing in RAW in PS-CS2. However when I go from LR to PS-CS2 with "edit in Photoshop.exe" it opens a PSD file and therefore I can not continue in PS-CS2 RAW.
What can I do?
Thanks for reply!

LR lacks the hooks to do what you want, pass RAW to ACR and then open in PSCS. Maybe some day. For now Export with XMP sidecar and open in PSCS from Bridge. As Geoff and Lee Jay indicate, ACR will pick-up what you havw done in LR and then you can continue from there. The only way for now.

how to edit xml file particular value. and how to send xml file over ip address 192.168.2.10 device using ftp through Ethernet

    Hello
For using FTP function in LabVIEW, I recommend you to check this document: FTP Basics
Also, take a look at FTP Browser.vi, which is available at the Example Finder.
To edit a XML file, try to use VIs in XML palette. Maybe Write to XML.vi helps you.
Post your current VI if possible.

  • How to edit raw files' metadata directly?

Is it possible to edit raw files' metadata directly?  If so, how?  (I am using Bridge CS6 v5.0.2.4 x64).  In my case, raw files are from Nikon digital cameras, i.e., .NEF.
By directly, I mean the original file is changed, rather than the sidecar .xmp file.
This is necessary under some circumstances where it may be required to prove ownership or origin of a photo.
    Help most appreciated.
    Thank you.

So how do you prove an image is yours?
I did understand the ownerships problem but I also would point to the impossibility of hard proof with current technology.
As said, I put my energy in good clients and for my images that are used on personal websites without my permission I really don't bother.
Don't know where you live and what your country has in its law regarding copyright. I also don't know to what extend you want to go and how much money is involved with your problem.
Never had to do it myself but I heard of several cases in the Netherlands. If you are certain it is your image and it is used without your permission and without paying you there are normal ways to seek justice.
First call the person or company that betrayed you for info and explain, then put this in writing with the request of a reasonable fee. If no luck seek a lawyer for a first letter with warning for extra costs and fine.
If you want (depending on the law in your country but most western countries do respect copyright) you can get it to court. Be sure to have the original raw files at hand (the whole series makes it more believable) and eventually if needed or possible seek witnesses seeing you taking the pictures.
But it can be a long and hard road that is certainly not suitable for a small case. Then again, most of the cases have been decided in favor of the photographer, the company that first refused to pay left with the usual fee to pay including a fine (mostly the same or more as the fee) and having to pay for the costs of the court…
Also keep in mind this is not good advertisement for you as a photographer, especially if the fine is big the word will spread around in the business. It is always problematic in this cases, hence my advise to invest in good clients...

  • Cant figure out how to edit raw images

I am using a windows computer and have Photoshop elements 10. I'm trying to edit raw images but every time I try to open a RAW file it says that its the wrong type of file. I tried downloading Camera raw. Elements 10 is compatible according to adobes' site, up to camera raw update 6.7, and that's the first version that my camera (Sony a-57) is compatible with camera raw. I followed the troubleshooting help and ended up deleting and re-installing Photoshop elements but it still says that its the wrong type of file and wont let me open it.

Which version of windows are you using?
This is the camera raw 6.7 updater you tried?
Adobe - Photoshop Elements : For Windows : Camera Raw 6.7 update for Elements 10
I'd try running the above 6.7 camera raw plugin updater from the linked page above.

  • How to edit raw data?

Is there a way to edit raw data in Oracle Sql Developer?
For example, table has raw(3) column. How can I edit this column in grid?

    hi,
You will have to delete the load entry from your data provider where it is getting loaded. If it is present in the Infoprivider it will not allow you to make changes.
Delete the entry from the Infoprivider and then go ahead with the steps.
    hope it helps,

  • How to edit raw files in lightroom?

when editing raw files in  lightroom the only extra option I seem to get is more control over white balance.  Am I missing something?  is there a way to open raw files in camera raw (like in photoshop elements) or can the editing options I get for all photos raw(nef) and jpg work better on raw than on jpg?  I am a little confused by it...

Lr uses Camera Raw internally for processing raw files.
You create renditions by editing raw images in develop mode until you are satisfied, and then exporting those renditions.
If you mean you want access to proprietary NEF settings placed in the raw image by the camera or Nikon software... this is not possible. You can mimic some of the settings with camera profiles and presets, but Lr (like most software) does not have (complete, unfettered, unencumbered) access to proprietary image details.  Adobe uses the public Nikon SDK to get access to the encrypted WB information.

  • How to edit/share documents between iMac and iPad

I would like to edit documents on my iPad and have those changes appear on my iMac and vice versa.
I was hoping to use Office2 HD and Dropbox, but it seems that documents can't be saved back to Dropbox on the iPad. Everytime I try and save in Office2 HD I get a "this folder is read-ony" error.
Is this a problem with Dropbox or is it a problem with Office2 HD?
What work flow would people recommend? I was hoping to not have to buy the whole iWorks for both my iMac and iPad. I don't do that much of this kind of stuff and was hoping for a cheaper solution.

    Thanks Angelus angel.
I think I worked out my problem. Because of the way the iPad deals with security you can't open a document directly from the Dropbox app into another app and then save it back.
Instead I had to setup my Dropbox details in Office2 itself. Now it works great!

  • How to edit RAW in external editor (photoshop)

Aperture duplicates the version and gives me a psd file open in photoshop. What I want is the Adobe Camera Raw editor, that's why I shot it in raw in the first place. Any workaround other than pulling the master out of aperture and doing it manually?
Also, anyway to disable the annoying metadata hud that pops up on rollover of previews in aperture?

Here is an idea I have been playing with for the new CS3 version of Photoshop.
    1. Locate the RAW files you want to process outside of Aperture's Library. You can do this by storing your masters as referenced images and using Aperture's 'Show in Finder' command.
    2. Open the RAW file directly with Photoshop CS3. Choose the 'Open as Smart Object' check box in the ACR settings dialog box. Save the resulting file and import that newly saved PSD back into to Aperture.
    3. From inside Aperture you can open this file using the 'Open with External Editor' command. Once you do this you will have two masters of the same images. Unstack the masters and delete the one that you imported--saving the one with the bulls-eye badge. That second one that you saved can be opened directly to Photoshop and re-adjusted using the ACR plug-in any time you want.
This workflow gives you nearly all of the benefits of directly editing the RAW file using Aperture's controls. It would be a bit slow to do it with a 1000 images. I am thinking about ways to run this using Automator and Applescript.
Is there a reason that Aperture's RAW processing doesn't work for you. I find that for supported cameras it is the equal of Photoshop's ACR and better in some regards.

  • How to edit RAW file as unedited original in PSE8?

How do I edit a RAW file in it's original form after having already edited it?  I can only see it in the previously edited format.  I can't seem to figure out how to get back to the original, unedited view.
I know it is probably simple, but cannot find it.
    Thanks!

Open your image and in the Camera Raw dialog click on the dropdown menu icon and choose Camera Raw defaults.

  • How to edit a file from Organizer and return it to Organizer?

In PSE5, in Organizer, I want to fix a photo. I right-click it and "go to quick fix" or"go to full edit". Editor opens up, I edit the photo, and want to return to Organizer. How to do that? If I try to save, I have to go through several dialogs, including warning that I'm about to replace an existing file, and default option to save a version; which all looks like I'm creating another instance of the file. Or, if I want to fix multiple files, I select them all in Organizer and go to quick fix; once I have finished, I don't see how I can commit all changes back to Organizer (which is showing "edit in progress" on them meanwhile) - I have to save each individual file, going every time through those several dialogs. Am I missing something obvious?

Not missing anything, that's how it works. If you want to replace the
file, go ahead, but most people keep a separate version, so you have
your original, and then the one they changed. That way, if you don't
like what you did, you can always go back to the original. You should
get something like: IMG_001.jpg (let's say that's your original file),
and then IMG_001-edited-1.jpg as the next one in the version set. This
is how Elements works. Most editing does change pixels, so you actually
have a new file. (I know that some editors/organizers do support
non-destructive editing, but you are very limited in what things you can
    do.)

  • How to edit videos frame-by-frame and export in H264?

I wish to edit some videos and then export them in H264 so I can use them on a website.
I have tried to edit with iMovie 08 but can only edit second-by-second. I want to edit frame-by-frame ie to the millisecond. And it appears that iMovie 08 does not export in H264.
I have looked at iMovie 11 which has a Precision Editor which would work to edit as I want but for that I would have to upgrade from Leopard to Snow Leopard which I don't want. It would export H264.
I also have QuickTime Player 7 Pro but that too seems to edit only by the second not by the frame; it does however seem to produce H264
How can I edit these videos precisely and produce H264? Is there another application which would work better (and doesn't cost a fortune).
    Thanks for any ideas

I want to edit frame-by-frame ie to the millisecond.
Am a bit confused by what you say. iMovie and QT 7 Pro are both "frame" level editors. However, some forms of editing are, by their very nature, applied over a range of frames which may be a part of your problem. In addition, since "normal" movies have frames which are spaced apart in the 16 to 42 ms range, your requirement to be able to edit to the nearest millisecond would seem unreasonable and would probably be unsupported for playback purposes without skipping 90+ percent of the frames on most platforms.
And it appears that iMovie 08 does not export in H264.
All of the "Share" and/or "Export" options (except Final Cut XML...) either default to H.264 or allow export to H.264 (or X264 if installed) video compression.
How can I edit these videos precisely and produce H264? Is there another application which would work better (and doesn't cost a fortune).
Difficult to say since you have not given any indication as to what you mean by "editing" here. You could, for instance, edit normal movie clips in a normal manner and then use an application like the JES Deinterlacer to change the playback time reference to achieve an effective 1 millisecond/frame playback rate you seem to want to target even though your platform cannot play every frame during playback.

  • Dreamweaver CC How to edit styles across media queries and sizes

I am creating a fulid grid/responsive website, using the standard Media queries offered by Dreamweaver CC when I start a new document.
I have creative several DIVs to sturcture my page.
I don't understand how to apply changes between the various media queries.
Frist, I see you can drag the width of the boxes to adust how wide you want the portions to be. That I get. But what I don't understand is to apply different formatting/styles in the different screen sizes. There used to be a box that would pop up when you wanted to create a new class. Now I can't figure out which version of the screen to work in and how to make changes ONLY to one screen size.
Here's an example of what I want to do:
The main portion of my website has 4 categories, that I would like the user to be able to choose from to click on.
On the mobile view, I want the image align left, text to the right of that, aligned left, and for the  background of each category to be the same color so that it looks like one big button on mobile.
On tablet and desktop view, I want the image centered within the DIV, then the text centered under each image. I want the graphic image (which is in a circle) to stand out on a white background.
In the tablet view, I have it organized by 2 rows and 2 columns.
In the tablet view, I have it organized by 1 row and 4 columns.
    I hope this make sense.
How do I signifyand create these changes? I have tried entering it in the code. That just seems to center it every image in every DIV (remember I want it aligned left in mobile) Or I tired entering it on the code in another way and that centered the image across the whole page, not just the DIV. HOw do I work around these problems? Do I need to make them all a class instead of a DIV? I am really confused....
Please be nice as I am obviously a bit of a beginner and struggling with this basic concept. I appreciate any guidance or help that anyone has to offer.

#1 Build mobile first.  Everything else is based on that primary layout.  Don't worry so much about content yet.  Just get your mobile layout in order.  Then build tablet and finally desktop.
#2 Do not tamper with code in your FluidGrid.css or Boilerplate.css files.  These files are temperamental.  Use a separate external style sheet for your content styles.   That way if you do something wrong, it won't break the whole layout.
#3 Keep your layout structure simple and uncomplicated.  No tables, no positioned elements.
#4 Everything needs to be inside the <gridContainer> div.  If it's not, it won't be responsive.

  • How to edit images on local drive and then archive to external?

I have a Drobo that I use to archive my permanent lightroom archive and image files. Currently, everything lightroom resides on this external drive. But the Drobo is no where near as fast as my internal hard drive as far as read/write and seek speed. I was wondering if there is a fairly easy way for me to work with my most recent import of images off of my internal hard drive and then "move" the images to the drobo once my post-processing is complete. I'm thinking storing the catalog on my internal drive would make sense as well and then use lightroom's built in catalog backup feature to backup the catalog file to the external drive. Any suggestions for those of you out there using Drobos or other large external storage devices on some type of "best practice" would be great. I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere in the forum; I searched but I couldn't find anything.

You can do exactly that, I do it all the times. Import your photos to an internal drive, work on them, and once you're done with the major work, move the photos or folder(s) from within LR to your drobo. LR will keep track of where your photos are if you move them from within LR.
I even sometimes move an image to a tomporary directory on a local drive from my NAS storage before opening it in PSE, since the building of a large TIFF takes forever on my NAS. I then move it back after finishing my work.

I think that's a good way of handling it.
Please also be aware of the fact that the most important performance topics are access times to
    Catalog
    Previews
    ACR cache (!!)
Access time to the raw file itself is actually not the most important issue.

Segment 2 : Everything else in the string from where Segment 1 ends (+1) and Segment 3 begins (-1).
    Segment 3 : 1234 ( 4 digits )Any help is appreciated !
