How to edit red background color of Informal Newsletter templates in pages

How do I edit the color of the red background in the Informal Newsletter template? I've been able to edit sections within but the background red section appears to remain locked. Any help is much appreciated!

You are in Pages '09, always useful to know.
Click on the red background > Menu > Arrange > Unlock
It is an image fill, you will have to replace the image with something else.

  • How to set the Background Color of a Text Field in a Tabular Report.

    Hello,
I tried to set the Background Color of a Text Field in a Tabular Report.
But I was not able to change this colur.
In the report attributes --> column attributes
    I tried already:
    1. Column Formating -- >CSS Style (bgcolor: red)
    2. Tabular Form Element --> Element Attributes (bgcolor: red)
    but nothing worked.
    Can anybody help me?
    I Use Oracle Apex 2.2.1 on 10gR2
    thank you in advance.
    Oliver

in "Report Attributes" select the column to move to the "Column Attributes" page. In the "Element Attributes" field under the "Tabular Form Element" region enter
    style="background-color:red;"
I will also check if there is a way to do this via the template and post here again
    edit:
in your template definition, above the template, enter the following:
    < STYLE TYPE="text/css" >
    .class INPUT {background-color:red;}
    < /STYLE >
(remove the spaces after the < and before the >)
change "class" to the class that the template is calling
(I'm using theme 9, the table has: class="t9GCCReportsStyle1" so I would enter t9GCCReportsStyle1)
A side-effect of using this second version is that ALL input types will have a red background color--checkboxes, input boxes, etc.

  • How to change the background color of  a Tab Canvas

    Hi All,
I accidentally changed existing background color of a tab Canvas to ' gray' which is not matching with main canvas (which has default).
How can I change background color to default. Please help me.
    -Thanks

In the property palette of the tab page, click on the "Background Color" property and click the "Inherit" button on the top of the property palette, this will revert the value of the property to the default when the tab page was created which is <Unspecified>.
But if your tab page has inherited the color from a property class it will revert to what was specified in the property class.

how can i control background colors with display items
    in registry.dat
    like app.ui.requiredFieldvABGCOLOR=255.0.0
how can i control background colors with others items ????
    thanks.

The iPhone has a "remote" app that lets you control Keynote on a Mac, but not on another iOS device (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch).
There are some apps that let you control limited content on another iOS device - but the content has to be within the app. You might check out SyncPad - perhaps you can import the presentation into it and then control it on the iPad.

  • How to give Common Background color for all JPanels in My Swing application

    Hi All,
I am developing a swing application using The Swing Application Framework(SAF)(JSR 296). I this application i have multiple JPanel's embedded in a JTabbedPane. In this way i have three JTabbedPane embedded in a JFrame.
Now is there any way to set a common background color for the all the JPanel's available in the application??
I have tried using UIManager.put("Panel.background",new Color.PINK);. But it did not work.
Also let me know if SAF has some inbuilt method or way to do this.
    Your inputs are valuable.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Nishanth.C

It is not the fault of NetBeans' GUI builder, JPanels are opaque by default, I mean whether you use Netbeans or not.Thank you!
I stand corrected (which is short for +"I jumped red-eyed on my feet and rushed to create an SSCCE to demonstrate that JPanels are... mmm... oh well, they are opaque by default... ;-[]"+)
NetBeans's definitely innocent then, and indeed using it would be an advantage (ctrl-click all JPanels in a form and edit the common opaque property to false) over manually coding
To handle this it would be better idea to make a subclass of JPanel and override isOpaque() to return false. Then use this 'Trasparent Panel' for all the panels where ever transparency is required.I beg to differ. From a design standpoint, I'd find it terrible (in the pejorative sense of the word) to design a subclass to inconsistently override a getter whereas the standard API already exposes the property (both get and set) for what it's meant: specify whether the panel is opaque.
Leveraging this subclass would mean changing all lines where a would-be-transparent JPanel is currently instantiated, and instantiate the subclass instead.
If you're editing all such lines anyway, you might as well change the explicit new JPanel() for a call to a factory method createTransparentJPanel(); this latter could, at the programmer's discretion, implement transparency whichever way makes the programmer's life easier (subclass if he pleases, although that makes me shudder, or simply call thePanel.setOpaque(false) before returning the panel). That way the "transparency" code is centralized in a single easy to maintain location.
I had to read the code for that latter's UI classes to find out the keys to use (+Panel.background+, Label.foreground, etc.), as I happened to not find this info in an authoritative document - I see that you seem to know thoses keys, may I ask you where you got them from?
One of best utilities I got from this forum, written by camickr makes getting these keys and their values very easy. You can get it from his blog [(->link)|http://tips4java.wordpress.com/2008/10/09/uimanager-defaults/]
Definitely. I bit a pair of knucles off when discovered it monthes after cumbersomely traversing the BasicL&F code...
Still, it is a matter-of-fact approach (and this time I don't mean that to sound pejorative), that works if you can test the result for a given JDK version and L&F, but doesn't guarantee that these keys are there to stand - an observation, but not a specification.
Thanks TBM for highlighting this blog entry, that's the best keys list device I have found so far, but the questions still holds as to what specifies the keys.

  • How do I set background color of cell using JTable?

    Hello all!
I have a question on the use of JTables. I am using a JDialog consisting of a JTable and a number of buttons to insert and to select OK or cancel. Everything is working perfectly, but I now must add editing capabilities to prevent invalid data being used in a SQL query to update or insert rows.
So far I can't figure out how to get at a cell to set the background to red if the user inputs a Date incorrectly. Upon setValueAt(), I take this value and check for standard format errors. I hope to someday convert the column altogether to a Data object (or some form since Date is deprecated):-) For the time being, I know when an error occurs, but don't have the foggiest idea how to render the error (set backround to red).
I need to give you more info too, since the way we do things is to make it as complicated as possible for job security and to impress the newbies(or scare them back to COBOL). When I setValueAt(), I have a DefaultDataElement object that houses everything for a given column in DB2. It has column name, length, data type, is it new, original value, current value, etc. If one doesn't exist, then I create one. After all said and done, I parse thru these elements and build my update/insert query and then execute the query.
The event starts as soon as the user presses the OK button. But, if a date cell contains an invalid date, I need to halt processing (which I've done) and somehow let the user know which cell was invalid. We consider our users dumb (they really aren't, but the assumption is made), so I can't just say "error occurred in table. Verify data and try again". That won't work:-) Gotta be able to show them what cell is bad.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Patrick

I finally figured it out. I was always close, but it wasn't until late yesterday that the light bulb came on. I was setting the background on the component in getTableCellEditorComponent() by grabbing the super.getTableCellEditorComponent(). The problem was all this was located in an editor, not renderer. So what happened was as I edited the cell the check would be performed then, not as focus was lost. When focus was lost, the red background went back to normal.
I ripped the code out and made a custom renderer and got closer. Problem was the whole column had a red background. Even specifying the row and column in getTableCellRendererComponent didn't apply just to that cell. That row and column is only for obtaining the data in the cell, but anything affecting the component will affect the column, since I added the renderer to my TableColumn:-) I need to add error logic to my model and when an error occurs, set a boolean flag in a 2 dimensional array where the row and column is used to get to it from the renderer.
    Thanks for the help!!!

  • How can I change the background color of my podcast's iTunes page?

My RSS feed just got accepted but now I need to customize the title, author, background color, and logo of my site. Does anyone know how to do this? Thank you!

You can't change the background colour - it's white for audio and black for video. The other data can be changed by changing the appropriate tag in the feed, or if you're using a program or online service to make your podcast,. wherever they provide for entering this information.
The title is carried in the 'title' tag; the author in the 'itunes:author' tag, and the 'podcast image' which appears on the Store page in the 'itunes: image' tag. Republish the feed after making the amendments: it will take a couple of days for the new data to appear, though the image may take several days.
The image which appears in some podcasts in the bottom left-hand corner of iTunes when subscribing is not referenced in the feed but has to be actually embedded into the media file: please see this page:
