How To Edit Sub Menu Items

When I go to edit the sizes of my sub menu items, how do I edit the sizing for all of them? I can't remember the shortcut key that you hold while dragging / sizing the menu item.

With vb you could call an action that changes the workspace. I do this with AppleScript but its only any use for in-house stuff where I know the actions and workspaces are saved.

Given the fact that you speak about AAMEE, it's not clear if you search for an automated and remote way to do it on multiple machines or not.

To disable menu items, simply go to Edit>Menus and click on the eyeball next to the menus you do not want.
It is then possible to save it in a workspace that by default will be located there: Documents and Settings/[user name]/Application Data/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Adobe Photoshop CS5 Settings/Workspaces (Modified)
I'm not sure if Photoshop will start if the default workspaces are removed, as there is an option to restore them in the preferences.
Also, this is not customer support, but a forum fielded by volunteers that answer when they can, so inviting for an"immediate response" has no bearing; and might even have the opposite effect, but thanks for doing it in a polite and non too demanding way!

Keyboard shortcut for Sub Menu item Only works AFTER using it

I have a Custom MOVE TO READ Mailbox shortcut. This is a SUB Menu item.. MESSAGE/Move To/READ FOLDER.
It is really sweet to clear out my INBOX and save emails.
So, what is ODD is that that menu has to be Clicked on and shown each time MAIL is run for that keyboard shortcut to work.
I find that Odd and would love to have it work without having to "train" it everyday.

How to hide/disable menu items using Javascript in Acrobat 9 pro or later

We just wanted to know on how to hide/disable menu items for e.g. 'Open' menu item under 'File' menu in Acrobat 9 or later on Mac using Javascript. It would be useful if you could provide if any other option is in place already.

Not sure it will work, but you can try using the app.hideMenuItem() method. See reference here.

How to: define a menu item in an action

I'm no dummy but I can't figure out how to execute a menu item through an action;
add button>properties>action>execute menu item. A dialog appears which is blank, and gives me the option of canceling. Maybe a product defect.
The help documentation defines what it means to execute a menu item, but doesn't expand on how to create one.

That's great. I'd love to jump into j-script and learn all about it, what it can do, what it's limitations are.... But I'm actually just looking to use the program as it functions (or should) out of the box.
This feature was accessible in Acro 8. I don't think that java should be necessary to perform this task. But maybe it is. Is anyone else able to use the "execute menu item" action? Because my build (acrobat 9.0 pro extended)only displays a blank selection dialog.

JNLP related-content issue in JRE 7u5 Sub Menu Item link not working

we are having an issue with our existing Web Start Application in Java Version 7 Update 2 and above where the Sub Menu items are not being associated with Internet Explorer with href link as Target when using <related-content> tag in JNLP. This is working fine in JRE 1.6, JRE 1.7.0 and 1.7.1. I have tried using Integration Service to programatically create these shortcuts in JRE 1.7.5 but was unsuccessful.

Create new sub-menu item....how???

I have a site created with Dreamweaver templates.
I can create a new page from a template but i want to make
the page a sub-menu page.
For instance i have an 'about us' page and from this 'about
us' page i want to create a sub page. None os these areas have been
locked but i can't find a way to do it.
Is it possible?
am i missing something?
Any tutorials anywhere?

You'll probably want to make any menu changes (since the menu
may be an element that is present on all your pages...hence the use
of a template) in the non-editable regions in Dreamweaver, then
uploade the template and do a template update in Contribute
(Edit-->Format-->Template
Properties-->Apply-->OK-->Publish).
As a rule, your menu/navigation should be laid out in the
template prior to using the template to create new pages (not
exactly sure what you mean by "sub pages"). In other words, your
template navigation/menu determines the main navigation you want
available on EVERY page you create with the template. If you then
create a new page in Contribute using the template, you're free to
create links (in the editable regions) to any page you want
(existing or new), including pages that are already linked-to in
the menu.

Muse 2014 -sub menu items appearing on roll-over etc.

Hi, complete newbie, so sorry if this has already been covered elsewhere. Only started using Muse about 1 month ago and now using Muse 2014 - using horizontal menu widget and discovered how it now shows sub-menus when hovering over the main menu item- I find this great!
I want a 'Contact Me' page with a basic form and this is not a problem, however, I want the sub-menus to appear when hovering over the other main menu items, but not the contact me page - might be completely off here, but created a 'Thank you' page as a child page of the contact me page and only want this displayed (not as a sub-menu choice when hovering over the contact me main menu item) when they have clicked the submit button on the form (I know how to set this re-direction in the forms options). Have tried playing with menu on the master page - switching off the edit together and changing settings on only the contact me menu item - without success- seems to apply to all main menu items.
I would like to know how to achieve sub-menus on other menu items - but not on contact me item; or whether I am going about trying to have a 'Thank you' response when someone submits the contact me form in the completely wrong way - can this be better achieved by other means?
I would really appreciate your advice and help. My published site is 'onyerbikegeordie.uk' with the main menus - except not with a contact me page as yet, but would give you an idea of what I am trying to achieve except for a contact me page.

Hi, managed to find the answer to this myself. In Plan, right-click on page and select Menu Options > Exclude Page from Menus. Job Done!

Edit Sub Menu Created With Dreamweaver

Does anyone know how to edit a sub menu that was created
using Dreamweaver? I need to link a new page to the sub menu but I
can't seem to find anyway to unlock the menu to amend the link.
Alternatively, one of my pages appears to be stuck on the server
saying that it is being edited by Macromedia Contribute after I
tried to publish it (this is the page I've re-created but can't
create a link to) so does anyone know how I'd re-set it or
something? I had thought of uninstalling Contribute then
re-installing it but I don't know if it'd make much difference?

You have probably deleted these comments when creating the template. These lines allow Dreamweaver to add code into the <head> section. Save your template and say Yes to allow the changes to pages that use this template (or just to the pages you want).

How do i change text in a copied widget menu item? Tried double/singleright clicking...using text tool, know this is super simple but is evading me!
Also created states and when copied, states did not copy with menu bar...how do I get 4 menu item states to copy page to page? Thanks alot!

If you are using Menu widget and created an automatic Menu then I am afraid the text labels of the Menu cannot be changed. Menu widget picks up the names of your pages and creates a Menu withe the corresponding Menu labels and links.
If you want to edit the text of the labels then I would suggest you to use Manual option of the widget. Using Manual Menu type you can configure your own Menu labels and also hyperlink them to the desired pages.
Please have a look at the screenshot on how to create a Manual menu :
The only task here is that you need to create the Menu from scratch.
And regarding the states not getting copied over, generally they should get copied over. Please try in a new test website if the Menu states are getting copied over for you or not.
You can also place Menu on your Master page so that you do not have to copy them on different pages.

Set_menu_item_property fails in identifying sub menu items - help

I AM TRYING TO MAKE THE MENU ITEMS VISIBLE OR INVISIBLE USING SET_MENU_ITEM_PROPERTY.
E.G SET_MENU_ITEM_PROPERTY('MASTERS_MENU.ACCOUNTS',VISIBLE,PROPERTY_FALSE);
THIS IS WORKING FINE.
BUT UNDER THE MAIN MENU IF WE USE SUB MENUS THIS IS NOT WORKING HOW TO ACHIVE THIS PLZ ADVICE??
FOR IF WE HAVE IN MASTERS_MENU -----> ACCOUNTS ( AGAIN MENU ITEM) --------> PURHCASE , SALES ITEMS ETC..

You should be able to use DBMS_SESSION.IS_ROLE_ENABLED('role_name'). This database procedure returns a boolean (true/false) indicating if the specified role is currently active for your session.

i am new to Blackberry application developer. I done one application in blackberry in default simulaor, I changed my simulator to Blackberry 8900 simulator. The features is more in curve phones like instant messaging. So i need to get the full menu item list from the API. Do i neddd to change the API ?.. I wanted to get the list like .. camera,maps,contacts,messages,weblin,sms,instant messaging etc. Can anyone help me in this case. My intention to get all the menu items in a list.

thank you for your solution.. my aim is list all the menu items in a drop down list. In the default simulator it is fetching all the menu items in the phone through API. But in curve 8900 it is not showing all the menu items, can u give me a suggestion

How to use Role Menu item in BI 7.0

From web applications desiger in version 3.5 we can use Role Menu item to access our querys easily.
In version 7.0 this item has been deleted from standard items. How can we manage it ? Thanks a lot

You can use EP role to have the same functionality.
Another option is to use the 3.X role menu web item after applying note 1075789, in this case role meny web item will display 7.0 objects also.
