I nned to get rid of the lowermost single hhygely thick concave copper red glow path (and leave only the upper three concentric convex thin blur paths) but am unable to do so
I tried ungroup (it does not exist) and i even tried delete anchor points (in zoom mode) but am unable to separate the paths and delete what i do not want
Can you please explain how it is to be done because i find this a common issue with wave image files that have curves

It's a Gradient Mesh.
Use the Direct Select Tool (the White arrow) and select the anchors corresponding to the bottom arc. Then change their color in the Color panel.

try NeoOffice or OpenOffice. I don't know what apps you have. Pages might open it or TextEdit, but, again, I don't know. All I can do is suggest. If you are really a stickler for format, if you're on that dell PC again, try saving the document as a .pdf and then putting it on the thumb drive.

What is not seen is that this map sits in a checker board background in PS and it's a .gif file.

Hi there -
The image you're working with is a transparent GIF. The checker pattern you're seeing when you open in it Photoshop represent the transparent pixeles in your image.
To edit the map, you'll first need to change the color mode from Indexed Color to RGB or CMYK Color. Do this by going to Image > Mode > RGB Color.
Now, you can take a selection tool (I'm using the Rectangular Marquee tool) and select the areas of the image you want to delete. Just drag your tool around an area of the image and hit Delete on your keyboard. Repeat this until you are happy with your result.
If you want to have this image remain transparent, you can stop here and save it in a file type that supports transparency (such as PNG, GIF, or PSD).
If you want to add a background, create a new layer in your Layers Panel and drag it below your map layer.
Then, grab your Paint Bucket tool and fill the background with whatever color you want.

How can you change this to where when the page is loaded it does not say (loading) and it will say (No live video streams) you can view archived videos.
Is this on the server FMS Interactive in the configuration or can it be done from the code inserted above?

How to automate this unique image sequence?

This is something I've been trying to figure out how to do for a while but have never found a solution.
Let's say that I have a rather large number of still images (say 100+) that I want to place on a video track. All the images are unique and have been set to a duration of approximately 5 frames (doesn't really matter, but a relatively short interval). Now let's say I want to SPACE each of these 100 images by 5 seconds (or 150 frames, at 30 fps).
So in summary, I have 100 unique, still images in my bin, all with a duration of 5 frames. I want to put them all in one video track but spaced apart by 150 frames. Is there any quick way to automate this process rather than having to manually space them one by one? Thanks.

Select all your photos in the bin, go to Clip > Speed/Duration, and enter the duration that you want your interval to be. In your example, that's 5 seconds/150 frames @ 30fps. They may already be this duration; I believe 5 seconds is the default still image duration in Pr.
Add your 5 second photos, all at once, to a sequence. Re-select all the photos in the sequence, right-click, and select Speed/Duration. This time, enter the final desired duration, e.g. 5 frames. Be sure the "Ripple Edit, Shifting Trailing Clips" option is NOT checked, and hit OK. All your selected photos will be shortened, and they'll leave gaps between them since you deselected the ripple option.

How to edit 16bit TIFF image sequence file in FCP?

Dear all,
I have a number of 16 bit TIFF image sequence files (2048 x 1024 resolution) - some of them are RED footage, and others came directly from our f/x guy. We are going into a color correction session in a post house and we've been asked to provide a sequential 16 bit TIFF image sequence of the edited time line.
I need to do a cross dissolve b/w most of the clips I have. I have created image sequence QT movie (reference files) from the TIFF images. Though they play fine in QT player, when I try importing into FCP, I am met with a "general error". I tried both dragging it into QT, as well as File --> Import.
I am wondering what can I do to get these clips into FCP in order to apply the cross dissolve transitions I need. Is this a problem relating to the 16bit nature of the TIFF files?
I tried exporting the TIFF image sequence standalone QT movie, and those imported fine. However, I have a feeling that the standalone movie conversion also decrease my bit depth from 16 to 8. (When I do my final TIFF output from FCP after dissolves / transitions had been applied, each TIFF file is now 8 MB instead of 12 MB, hence my suspicion that the bit depth is adjusted).
Are there any settings I am missing, or does FCP simply don't support 16 bit image sequence reference file. As a test, I had also converted all my TIFF to jpg, and created jpeg image sequence reference file. These reference QT file can be successfully imported to FCP and I can edit them as if they are a clip.
If FCP is not able to handle these files, what are my other options? After Effects?

As far as I know, both FCP and Color only support up to 10 bit color, which is 1024 levels for each color channel, more than enough for avoiding color banding.
If you need 16 bit for sure, I believe AE will support 16 bit output. Another 16 bit application would be the extended version of Photoshop, which has some limited time line capability.

SONGS THAT I HAVE PURCHASED APPEAR TWICE ON MY PHONE. DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHY AND HOW TO EDIT THIS PROBLEM?

Songs that I have purchased on Itunes appear twicw on my Iphone. Does anybody know why and how do I edit or remove one copy of the song?

I have had two similar events with my Gen4 iTouch. An album was purchased thru iTunes with my iTouch. When I sync'd it with my MAC Mini (OSX Lion) each song that was included in the purchased album appeared twice on the iTouch but only once on the MacMini. Deleting the duplicates on the iTouch did not resolve the issue. With each sync they were reinstalled. The only way I could get around this was to delete the album/songs on the MAC, elect to move them to trash then re-sync the iTouch to remove them. Afterwards I was able to re-download the purchase on the MAC then sync the iTouch. This resolved the issue.
The second event was different but the result was the same: An album was purchased thru iTunes but this time thru iTunes Store on the MAC mini. When I sync'd the iTouch there were 2 entries for each song purchased but this time there was an entry for the song itself AND an identical entry beneath it that looked similar to the play/pause sampling icon in iTunes when sampling a song prior to purchase. I am not using iCloud and I don not sync wirelessly on the iTouch. Again, all I could do was delete the purchase on the MAC Mini, sync the iTouch to remove them, re-load the purchase from iTunes and re-sync. This also resolved the issue but it makes me a bit nervous since I have a very large library. What is causing this?

Now I need to add a few pages to this help project, I can add
the individual help pages but the issue is how do I update the TOC
(toc_oc.htm) because when I open it in DW, I get the error:

One quick fix - copy the whole image onto a second layer - set new layer to Multiply.
Adjust the opacity until you get the look you want.

As you can see, there are 4 colors (red, blue, yellow, light gray). I am struggling to find a way to delete the grey color and to stretch the other three colors enough to form a sort of equilateral triangle. Let me explain.
At the moment, each of the four colors form a 90 degrees angle. Is there any way to delete the light grey color and make space to the other three colors so that they form a 360 degrees angle? (120 degrees each).

What appears in the expanded Layers palette when you have the selection shown in the Dropbox screenshot?
It should be the three thirdendeal circles, in a Group unless Ungrouped. Each should be selectable.
Before posting, I tried the Pathfinder Divide with the Radial Dividers, and it worked.
If the Radial Dividers are too short to reach the circle (so there are gaps), it will be a Compound Path instead. I believe(d) that issue to only apply to rather old versions (before CS (1) or something).
One way to get round an issue with too short Radial Dividers is to create the Polar Grid a bit too large and reduce the size of the circle to the desired value, and then to Pathfinder>Divide (the outlying ends of the dividers will disappears); in cases with an even number of dividers you may alternatively create the Polar Grid at the final size and increase the size of the divider group.
If there is such an issue, the easy solution is Shapebuilder/Live Paint with Gap Detection, of course.

How to edit PS Extension CSS;

I am trying to edit the BG of the CC libraries extension assets (it's a simple CSS gradient) but saving the file will not let me use the extension anymore saying it has not been signed properly. Any ideas on how to edit this, or any extension?

Create your own theme and change css file on that.
Or add your application page template header style that overwrite font size like

In-design CS4 Export to RTF format, .png & .eps images aren't displaying.

I have an InDesign CS4 document that has a combination of .png images, .eps images & text. And I'm trying to export the main story that contains all the content to RTF format. The export generates a .rtf file. And when I view the document in a plain text editor such as Notepad or UltraEdit, I can see the images are there due to the lines & lines of image encoding. But when I open it inside of Word 2010 or Word Pad, I don't see the images. I just see the text.
I've tried generating the rtf export using the normal In-Design interface, as well as trying the sample javascript "ExportAllStories.jsx" that comes with CS4. Both fail to generate an RTF doc with a readable .png or .eps graphic.
My Images are AchoredObjects inside of Rectangles. I can provide the IDML export code if needed.
I've also verified that if I add an image into Word, be it .png or .eps & then save as RTF, the images are later viewable.
Is there a bug with In-Design CS 4 in how it generates .png & .eps images for RTF?

I think I finally figured this out. I move a lot of docts back and forth between InDesign and Word, and oddly enough - some of the PNG files WERE exporting from InDesign to RTF, but not others. So I knew that it wasn't impossible! My client gives me Word docts created using screenshots, sometimes over 200 graphics in one doct. I make sure they are all inline with the text in Word, which keeps them inline when I place them in InDesign (although they are not "anchored objects" as such). All of the graphics were treated the exact same way, so why should some export to RTF and not all of them? I finally unembedded all the links to compare file properties, and there were absolutely no differences - except SIZE. I tested a few randomly, making some files bigger in Photoshop, and making others smaller, and that absolutely made the difference in whether they would export to RTF or not. The cutoff seems to be somewhere between 40-50 KB. So instead of discriminating against certain file types, that was just coincidental - since PNG files (and GIF) are generally so small.
But I'm still a little stuck as to the best workflow, given the quantity of image files I have in each doct. I tried creating an action in PS to change the image resolution from 72 to 150, applied it to the whole folder, then updated the links in InDesign. And yes, all but the very tiniest images are now exporting to RTF, but the image quality is crappy! I would love it if someone has any advice on that.

By claim, what I mean is this. Lets say I try to add my podcast to Podcast Alley's directory. If I copy and paste my RSS feed in there, it says that it needs me to add their "tag" or whatever in my RSS so they know it is my podcast. They need me to add this line in the XML file I think to "claim" my podcast so it will show up in their directory. This seems to be a common thing with other sites as they give me some XML code to add to my RSS also.
Make sense at all?
