i've been trying to embed audio into my website all night and I get a file not found message even though I;ve checked 100 times and all files are where links say they should be..
but even just linking to audio (mp4) files won't work...
everything is o.k. with non-audio links on my website - only the mp4 audio can't be found.

I got the code from "http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/tell-a-friend/wizard/" but unfortunately it can generate codes for only html websites and emails but my site is in flash and these codes are not working. Ical calendar how to embed into webpage

Using iWeb I successfully published my iCal calendar to my website. However suddenly my embedded calendar stopped showing any entries. I understand this is due to the changes in the mobileme calendar. Can I restore the previous very useful facility? Or do I have to switch to Google calendar? It a resource that I found very useful for clients wanting to see when I was available and I am sure many other users use a facility like this. must say that Apple have annoyed me over this. It was not easy finding how to embed the calendar in the first place and now they seem to have downgraded the mobileme calendar. I thought the general trend was to improve applications not the reverse.

I don't believe you can restore that capability.
You can add a Google calendar to a web page (it's scaleable whereas the iCal calendar was not) and then sync your iCal calendar to the Google calendar with Google Sync Services. An example is shown on this demo page: Google Calendar.

And regarding QT video template on iWeb's Movie page, can I drag any kind of QT ? Like H.264 QT for example, or is it just for Mpeg2 QT?

What is your video codec you are working with? NTSC (and PAL) DV is about 13 gigs/hr uncompressed. When you export your QT movie from your editing application and convert the file to flv you are compressing the video at that time with a determined bit rate and video dimension. quality and file size comes down to math. File size = bit rate x movie length. Quality is bit rate in relation to dimension. Surprisingly enough the recommended video encoder for flv is Flash Video Encoder application that comes with Flash. Sorenson Squeeze is arguably the best flv video encoder. Visual Hub is not recommended if quality and efficiency is desired. Flash Player is a browser plug-in that that allows web visitors to view Flash videos on your website from their web browse. Most already have Flash player installed and you can insert a script that checks to see if the visitor has Flash player installed and if it doesn't a window will appear informing the visitor that they are required to instal the Flash Player in order to view Flash content on your website. A URL is also provided to direct the visitor to the Flash Player download page. Insert this script into the <head></head> of your site:

Beginning with Flash Player 9 h.264 QT movies are now supported for playback. Simply change the file extension from .m4v to .flv to convert the h.264 video to Flash video that can be viewed from Flash Player 9+ on a web browser.

Currently, you can only use and preview the free and open-source Typekit fonts in Muse.
If you're comfortable with a little HTML/CSS, the Muse Insider wrote a post on how to insert the Typekit embed code from the Muse interface:

Or you can add the embed code to the Page Properties dialog within Muse, which will include it in the <head> of the page when you export your website.
However, we do see the value of being able to design in Muse with all the fonts in your Typekit library. This will require a deeper integration between Typekit & Muse. I'll give the team a nudge in this direction for you.

Hacked account. Wondering how to contact Skype sup...

Hi everyone,
my account has just been hacked. The thief has change the password and the email address.
I would like to contact Skype support, but I found only two ways of doing that: this community and the chat support (that is not working at the moment).
How can I get a reply from support? No idea.
I also had some credit on my account, I was worried if Skype saved my credit card data for later, so the new "owner" could charge the account with my card. Is anyone able to give me a feedback?

Unfortunately, you have just realized a principal reason malcontents hijack accounts: to use up the credit or to take advantage of any subscription, and then to top up the credit using the payment method on file. Change your credit card account password immediately if you have not already done so, as well as any third-party payment processing system account if you happen to use one (such as PayPal or MoneyBookers).
To recover your account, you will need to contact Skype Customer Service directly. Try using a different web browser than you typically use; believe it or not, this works most of the time!

How to embed the Piecemaker gallery?

I don't have any experience in using Flash, but I just found a brilliant Flash freebie on Modularweb called The Piecemaker. I want to include it in my website but I don't have any idea how. I read the documentation and I'm still confused and I still don't understand the instructions.
Here's the instructions:
HOW TO EMBED THE GALLERY?
1. Copy the packages „com“ and „caurina“ from the folder to your classes directory. It works without that,
but only if you always move these packages along with the FLA fle. If you‘re not familiar with working with
classes, check the tutorial at Adobe Livedocs
2. Open the fle „piecemaker.fa“ and try to publish it to check, if the classes are referenced correctly.
3. The actual gallery is nothing more than the empty MovieClip on the „gallery“ layer. It has the base class
„com.modularweb.imageGalleries.Piecemaker“, which holds all the code. To copy the gallery into your own
project, you just need to copy this MovieClip as well as all the elements from the library to your project.
4. Three basic properties of the gallery are assigned on the „actions“ layer. The code from this layer has to be
copied to your project, too. These properties are xmlSource, cssSource and imageSource, which
hold the paths to the XML fle, the CSS fle and the folder containing the images to be loaded. Please note
that if you embed the gallery to your project, these paths need to be relative to the location of your project.
In the folder of the Piecemaker the I downloaded it contains:

How to embed fonts in a textbox in adobe acrobat 9

Hi all,
The forms has beed designed in adobe acrobat 9.It has the text in the textboxes with a fontstyle of DejaVu Sans Mono.The client or the user generates the form by clicking on the appropriate link and the textboxes are populated accordingly.The problem is they dont have the fontstyle used in the textbox installed on their system.So whenever they generate the pdf the font in the textbox doesn't print in properly.Is there anyway we could force it to use the font which we have originally set up.Thanks in advance

How do I access my iWeb website when I no longer have the original iWeb program it was published with?

Last Fall, my '06 iMac was vandalized and destroyed unexpectedlyl. Since then, I have'nt been able to access my only website, which was published through iWeb. My new iMac does not have iWeb.
How can I access my main website published through the old iWeb? I must transfer my domain name/site to a new web host and build a new site. My website is out of date and must be updated/replaced asap. Please help.

To edit your website, you need the domain.sites file iWeb uses to store its assets.
You also need iWeb.
If the file is missing and you have no backup, you'll have to start from scratch.
Perhaps you still have the iLife install disks.
And browse this forum to learn how to get a copy of iLife. It's often discussed.

We cannot directly pulled data from website. we need to activate webservices and rfcs. Better you could asked to your Basis guy that he knows or not. If not then do sdn you will get the appropriate answer. I can only say that its possible and we can download from website.

How to embed the needed fonts in a pdf file

Dear Sir/Mam,
We had purchased licenced version of adobe acrobat x pro
We are facing issues while embedding the font in the pdf file
Please find the below mentioned requirement
Requirement:
We have a pdf file (template) with some static images and static text in it
We need to populate dynamic data in the pdf file for this we may use text boxes
We need to set the font name for the text box and embed that font in the pdf template (Eg:Font to be used in textboxes is "RotisSansSerif-Bold")

Please let us know how to embed the needed fonts in the pdf file?
Once user exports the pdf file, even if user doesnot have the fonts installed in his system the text need to be displayed in the same fonts,how to acheive this?Eg:if we define "RotisSansSerif-Bold" as font in the textboxes,after exporting the data the text need to be in the same font.
Note:
Fonts will only installed in the application server and not in the client system

There is a similar post just a few away from yours. I will suggest what I would try. Open your job settings file (press or print preferred to get all fonts) and then select the properties and the font tab. At your font to the always embed list and you will likely need to uncheck the subset box. Then save your job settings (give it a name that is meaningful to you, you can not use the settings file you started with as they are read only and I do not recommend changing that). Maybe that will do the job. Of course that is for the creation of the PDF, I forgot you were talking about a form. You might check the form field properties, but I suspect you have already tried that. Guess I don't play with forms enough. Others may be by to answer.
