How to embed time in the video

Hi,
Is there a way to include the time in the video like some cameras do? After shooting som videos, it is hard to track when each was taken. Thanks.

Dear Mr. Chan-please tell us more about your hardware and what kind of movies you are trying to import into iMovie. as far as I know, iMovie only handles a few kinds of movies, mp4, m4v, mov and DV, and that's it. It will NOT convert every kind of movie out there to whatever. try something like handbrake, perian (with QuickTime) or MPEG streamclip to get the movie that you are maybe having trouble with into a more iMovie friendly format

How can I play all the videos I have saved to a playlist? I only am able to get one playing at a time then I have to select the next and play it.

I am not able to get all/any of my videos to play one after another like my music playlists. I thought it worked once but I am not able to recall how.
Your help is greatly appreciated. I am tired of having to go back after each video (be it a music video, tv show, movie...but music video in particular).

The Videos that do not play - Are they all Checked.
Right Mouse Click on a video, If at the bottom of the popup it has Check selection then that is what is missing. Suggest you select all your videos, Right clcik and mark all as checked in 1 go. Then your playlists will run through them.
I think they only play one at a time because when you double click on them to pl;ay for that 1 video it overides the checked/ Unchecked feature

I am creating educational videos and would like to set points within a video that will make things happen on the website, either a different window or the same window as the video. Is this possible? I'm not a web developer so posting how to do it won't do me much good. How to embed and play mp4 video in HTML AIR application?

Adobe Air HTML / JS application compiled from SDK command line. I am not using flash pro or flash builder to create the application.
I was using dreamweaver but the dw air plugin seems to have stopped being developed so I switched to using the command line tools.
I am creating desktop air application that has embedded mp3 audio and also I want to embed mp4 video.
Using jQuery and the AIR js plugin I am able to play audio via buttons hooked up via jQuery and the AIR js plugin from the SDK.
What I am doing is creating proofs for clients in AIR and sending link to the client to download the application. I embed the media because I do not want to place them on a website where it could possibly be seen by non-clients and get picked up in the SE's.
I am finding it hard to understand the AIR process for playing video. I read that it is the same procedure as audio but it does not work.
If it was hosted on youtube or somewhere embedding the web player would be simple, just copy paste some code and it works. When actually embedding the video say mp4, f4v, mov, wmv or similar file formats I can't get AIR to play the video. Audio, not a problem it works great.
I would like to do the following with video.
Embed the actual file in the AIR app. I can do this, it gets embedded.
Play, pause and stop the video - Can't get this to work
Get the current stop point and be able to start the video by sending a start point - This is all working with audio I just want to do it with video.
I have searched the forums, the search engines, youtube and read through the documentation on Air but the video does not work at all.
I need code samples and direction on how to make an embedded video play inside of a desktop air application using the HTML / JS air model. I am using the command line tools to create the air package and test the air app.
Please help if you have figured this out.

In addition I also can not get html5 video to play in the adobe air app. Would this issue be tied to the above?

How to get time stamp on Videos?

When I tape only one video per day I also get the time stamp of that video. When I tape more than one, it does not show the time anymore.
How do I get the time stamp then???

Actually, you were correct all along & I was wrong. I took 5 videos today. No "time" stamp. Just the length of movie taped and when I moved the wheel clockwise & counter clockwise the month, day & year show up but not the time. hmm......

first thing I was wondering was. I upgraded to the premiere user to where I have 20mb of storage but I take a lot of spearfishing video's and photo's and the 20mb is just about full. I see I can buy more memory but should I just get a external hard drive to keep all my photo's and video's and if I do that is it easy to get the materials that I need for me to create my new projects in premiere elements or should I just buy more memory. the second thing I was wondering is that I take a lot of spearfishing videos and each dive can be 15min long but only have about 4min of action footage that I actually use. so my question is after I download the video's from my camera can I go through them and extract the good footage and save it like that for me to use at a later date in my projects. it would save a lot of time and a lot of memory to be able to do it this way and if I can how do I go about doing it. thank you for all your help Cory

This is the very definition of video editing, Cory! That's what the program is designed to do!

The most important step in any project is setting up the project settings to match your source video as precisely as possible. I cover this in part 1, so watch it carefully. I go into greater detail on setting up a project and capturing, editing and outputting video in my books, if you're interested.
As for Photoshop.com, I'm not sure it's worth buying more than 20 gig of backup space online at this point. You'd be better off investing in a good, large second hard drive for your media and project files. Save the online backup for your finished pieces.

How can i stop uploading the videos everytime i upload new photos?

Every time i plug in my phone and upload photos, it uploads all the videos, even old ones that are already downloaded. How can i stop that happening so it just uploads new videos? Thanks

This is dependent on the application you are using on your computer to import the photos. It is not a function of iTunes or the iPhone.
If you have a Mac and use iPhoto, you can specify that it not import photos that are already in your iPhoto library. This applies to both photos and videos.
Maybe instead of using the camera roll to store photos long term, you should consider syncing photos BACK to the phone from your photo library after you import them. Then you could delete them from the photo library when you import and keep better control of what lives on the phone.

thanks for your quick reply but i would like to incorporate the finish time in the mail subject.
for example mail subject is as follows.
"GL process chain has been finished at xx:xx time".
Here time (xx:xx) should automatically read and fill as per the finish time of the process chain.
hope now it is clear.any idea how it can be done?.

How do I save just the video and audio I need for a project

I typically run 3-4 video cameras at an event that lasts 2 hours, but only want to keep about 30-60 min of the video. I don't always have the time to do more than a rough edit and am looking for a way to: 1 maintain the original quality , and 2 get rid of the excess. The rough cut would obviously take only i/4 to 1/2 the 84GB of space the raw video does.
What format can I export it to that will do this. My cameras all record in ACVHD and I dont see that as an option for export.

First I would find out what the pixel size of the frame is. Next export your photos to a folder on the Desktop using Custom size requirements and put in the maximum frame pixel dimension and a quality level of medium or less (depending on the quality of the frame). Give the folder a name like "DigitalFramePhoto" and copy that folder to the SD card. You'll need a card reader to do that.
The reason you need to put the folder into a folder is that the SD card is formatted for PCs and will only take a limited number of files at the root directory. Putting them into a folder and loading the folder gets around that limitation.
