How to emprint from work computer to home printer

I'm trying to emprint for the first time from another computer than I have before.  What do I do to print to my hp printer at home when I'm at work.

Hi Lorjac,
Thank you for being a member of the HP Support Community. I see that you would like to learn how to send print jobs from work to your home printer.
To better assist you, would you please provide some additional information:
What make/model/product number of HP printer do you have? How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
How is the printer connected (USB cable, ethernet, or wireless)?
What operating system are you using on your computer at home? whatsmyos.com
If your printer supports the ePrint feature, have you set it up?
Thank you.
Regards,

  • How do I transfer music from work computer to Home?

My main iTunes library is located at home. Every day I go to work, plug my Nano into my work computer connect to iTunes and listen to music from my Nano.
Here's my problem. I like to download free songs of the week from iTunes to my computer at work. How do I move these downloaded songs to my computer at home? Thanks.

You could try to take them off your Nano--it's a little harder to move files from an iPod onto a computer but it can be done. I can't help you with this, I don't know how to do it, but if you search these forums there are lots of threads about how to do this.
To put a song file on a jump drive, open your iTunes folder (I assume this is where the file will be located) find the file folder for the artist you downloaded, then the album the song was on, and finally the song. Copy this to the jump drive.
Then, you'll need to copy this file to your home computer. Just reverse the steps. In your iTunes folder, make a folder for the artist, then one for the album, finally copy the song into this folder. Next, in iTunes, go to File > Add File to Library and navigate to this song file. When you click on the song for the first time to play it, you'll get a popup box asking if you want to authorize your computer to play the song. (You can authorize up to five computers to play downloaded songs--so make sure you're under this limit.)
    That should do it.

  • Transfer music from work computer to home computer

I have dial up (dsl unavailable) on my system at home. It takes 15+ minutes to download one song purchased on iTunes. I can download a song in 10 - 15 seconds at work. Is it possible to put the songs I've purchased and downloaded at work onto a flash drive and transfer them back to my home computer. I've tried the share file between networks, but I work for a very well known company who's firewall protection doesn't allow any network sharing between non company computers. Am I simply stuck with the slow downloads? Thanks in advance.

sure, if i understand the question right. this is the only question i really know how to answer. if you have an ipod (which this whole plan hangs on), update it at work. then go home and download one small program: yamipod (google search it.) close itunes at home, attach your ipod, and open yamipod. the program can take the music from your ipod and put it onto your itunes library or your hardrive wheresoever you please. you can also do the flashdrive thing, if you don't have an ipod, but depending on how much music you have, that might take a while. if you know where your music is stored on the computer, just go to that folder. if not, do start, search, and type a song name. once it's found, right click the name and select "open containing folder." then open "my computer" on the desktop or start menu, select the flashdrive, and copy the music files, which should all be in that one location, to the flashdrive.
in terms of the ipod thing, though, you have to download the program, because itunes tries to block sharing of music through ipods.
    hope that's helpful

  • How to keep songs on iphone, work computer and home computer the same?

How to keep songs on iphone, work computer and home computer the same?
This seems like something everyone would want to do. I don't know why Apple won't give us a simple solution. They could even charge us for it. I would pay!
Has anyone solved this? What is your solution?
    Thanks!

If you just want to be able to sync your devices to the same PC without having them get overwritten all the times, here is a free method
    http://cnettv.cnet.com/sync-your-ipod-two-computers/9742-1_53-50004835.html
Basically, you put the same itunes database file on all the PCs. This fakes itunes into thinking it is always the same PC and the ipod is OK to sync with it. It will NOT keep your libraries truly synced, though. I've just resigned myself to always buying from one PC and manually transferring the content to other PCs I want it on.

  • Stream movies from my computer using home share to apple TV (gen 3) is using up my internet down load allowance?

I have been using Apple TV (gen 3) to stream movies from my computer using Home Share but found my internet down load increased, I have read online forums which all say they don't think the home sharing uses your internet down load but when I played a movie then paused and unplugged my cable from my router I was unable to continue streaming the movies which tells me I am using internet down load. Can I use my Apple TV to stream already downloaded and saved movies from my computer to Apple TV without using the internet?

Sorry diesel, to amswer your question: I am selecting "Computers" from the ATV which inturn streams the movies from the iTunes on my computer.
If I unplug my internet cable from the router I am unable to continue streaming the movie? this tells me that it is using my ISP internet to stream, I have checked all my settings but can't see anywhere that would make it stream direct from my router to ATV.
    Just can't work it out???

After years without a problem, I am suddenly unable to remote share my work computer at home.  I haven't done any updates recently and did not make any changes to the setup.  It was working Monday night and stopped working Tuesday morning.  I am at a loss for what could have happened.   Anyone have any thoughts?

it sounds like your work changed something on their network.  Try asking your IT people if they recently blocked any ports related to remote management or changed their firewall settings to block incoming connections.

  • How to transfer iTunes purchased songs from work system to home system

I have an itunes account set up on my computer at work and have recently purchased songs that reside at work. Unable to burn purchased songs on work system.
Signed in at itunes at home and unable to find songs purchased with same itunes sign in id at work.
How do I go about finding the songs using the same id.

They are on your work computer. You canot download them again (for free) from iTunes.
You need to copy them off the work computer.
Use an iPod or a removable drive.
You can email them although the file would be pretty big.
    You can FTP them somewhere.

  • Help combining music files from work computer, home computer and iPhone

When I connect my iPhone to my home computer, iTunes won't let me transfer the songs on my iPhone onto my home computer's iTunes without overwriting everything on my home's iTunes. The songs were placed on my iPhone using my work computer's iTunes. Any suggestions on how to get all my music that is on my work computer and on my iPhone onto my home computer without wiping out my home computer's music library?
    Thanks,
    Paul

You should be able to connect your iPhone to your home computer and use *File > Transfer Purchases from Paul's iPhone* to copy any iTunes Store purchases you made at work or directly on the iPhone into your home iTunes library. This transfer should only add items to your iTunes library and not delete anything.
Working in the other direction, iTunes to iPhone (& iPod Touch?), will remove all existing media and replace it with whatever local content you wish to place on it. In contrast to other iPods this happens even if you choose to manually manage the content. I.e. at the time you want to edit the content every file that you want on the iPod must be present and accessible in the local library.
The most obvious way not to get caught out is to have a complete backup that you could restore in the event of a disaster. A small USB host-powered external drive is ideal for this. I use SyncToy 2.1, a free tool from MS to manage the backups. This can copy your entire iTunes library & any other media folders onto another hard drive or network share. You can then use SyncToy periodically to synchronise or echo your library to the backup. A preview will show which files need to be updated giving you a chance to spot unexpected changes and during the run only the changed files will be copied saving lots of time.
It's not documented or supported, but I have found that if you use the same set of files (kept in sync with SyncToy) on two different machines the iPod/iPhone sees each as it's "home" library and will let you sync content from it without wiping and reinstalling everything. Obviously to perform such a trick you first have to merge your existing libraries and take care of shuffling the content back and forth but it does have a few advantages. First content can be added to the iPhone where you happen to be at the time, second you end up with multiple copies of your library for backup. Given that you can even load an iTunes library directly from an external drive you can actually manage the library or iPhone from any machine running the same version of iTunes. The main drawback with the scheme is that you may at times make independent updates to different copies of the library. I use iTunes Folder Watch occasionaly to scan my library folders for any new additios or missing items that arise from asynchronous edits.

  • When sharing screen from work with my home computer, is there any way to turn off the display at home?

Hi, sorry if this is a silly question, but when I'm viewing my desktop on the home computer from work (as in I've connected by finding my computer in the finder and hit the "Share Screen" button - is there any way to turn off the display at home? It seems a bit of a waste of power to have the screen on when I'm not actually there - I just need to be able to see all my programs etc on the remote screen in order to use them. My home computer is a 2011 iMac running latest Mountain Lion, work is a 2010 MacBook Pro.
    Thanks in advance!
    Matt

I've set up another user on my home Mac and left that one logged in. Now when I connect from work it asks me if I want to share the screen or log on virtually as my user. I think choosing the second option doesn't power up the screen.

  • Work computer and home computer how do I synch

    Not really true.
The two computers would have to be on the same local network to use home share.

  • How to Download Purchased Audiobook from Work Computer

    Hey everyone!
I bought an audiobook on iTunes on my work computer, using my account. I would like to know how to download it on my ipod? My home computer is a MAC, but my work computer is a PC. When I plug my ipod into my work comuter it askes if i want to re-configure my ipod to window. I clicked ok, and nothing seemed to happen.
    Thanks a lot!!

If you want to use your iPod on Mac and Windows, it needs to be Restored on iTunes for Windows.
Mac can read Windows formatted disks but Windows cannot read Mac formatted disks.
