for publishing documents in portal... I have used Km navigation iview.
I have created new folders in my Km content..
under / doucuments....
but the back link was disabled for the folder which I have created...
pl suggest the solution.... to enable the' back' and' forword 'link...........

Goto Content Administration -> Portal Content -> Portal Users -> Standard Portal Users -> Default Framework Page.
Check Tool Area and click Properties. Set Enable Collaboration Launch Pad to Yes.

How To: Create a link to gatewayed content (e.g. in email)

I apologize if this is too basic of a question but I can't find any results after looking for several hours.
I would like to generate a URL in an email that points to the portal and a specific portlet in the portal. The portlet has limited access rights so the URL should cause the portal to go through the login page and then redirect to the portlet. Can anyone point me to the documentation that describes this or give me an example?

Using the PTARGS might also solve another difficulty I've encountered passing (dynamic) querystring parms to portlets through the gateway. Your example seems to work great for portlets, but now trying to access a Community page containing a portlet to retain branding elements.
For portal pages, should the ObjectID be the pageID (i.e PageID=0 for the default page) or is the ObjectID for a community page some other value (where in PlumDB is this stored) ? I changed the ClassIDView to 514 which should indicate a Community Page but it's still not loading my page. Adding to my confusion, the PTCOMMPAGES table stores the PageID as a negative value.
Here's my example:

Any thoughts?

Time Machine makes room for backups as necessary in a complex and sophisticated fashion, and it's not something to mess with lightly. You need to make such labels in a word processor. WORD has several templates for creating labels (often obtained from the label maker). These typically put several labels on a page, but depend on the labels used. I don't really recommend using Acrobat (Adobe is the company name) unless it is possible that the label manufacturer has provided a PDF template to use for the process.
Hopefully I have not misunderstood your request, but Acrobat does not seem to be the proper route. If you have information on the labels you are using, maybe we could give better information, but we would simply be getting such info from the label web site.

Personlize link in Portal is related with EU_Role - standard portal user role.
I assume that u assigne the EU_Role to end user if no changes to that make personalize link is available on masthead if changed check following.
under content administration -> Portal content -> Content provide by SAP -> End User Content -> standard portal users -> standard user role
Right click to open obeject.
now right click on portal personalization and select property.
under property catogery select all.
find the following property that have following value required.
Entry Point --> Yes
Invisible in Navigation ---> No
save ur entry.
if u don't want to use EU_role than add delta link for portal personalization workset in ur user role and set the above property for workset (portal personalization)
under ur role.

I want to know how to enable the links that are sent in an email, with each upgrade of Firefox it gets harder and harder to do so. What is the trick to this?

With each upgrade of Firefox, I have a harder and harder time, getting to the links provided in my emails. Some times I am able to trick the link into working, if I continue to to try every link in the email, but most of the time, I just have to give up. I know that I need to change something, maybe in the settings, but I don't know what.
Please help me. I am considering just going back to Internet Explorer.

This did not solve my problem. I can sometimes click on a link (word) provided in an email, that leads to a site, but it does not list the website address!! It works sometimes, providing me with a chance to enable links for this address or enable link (I think basically for just that one time).

I don't know what you mean by "unique link/bookmark pairs." I believe all bookmarks are unique.

A bookmark needs a link to work. A link needs a bookmark to work. Those two things create a unique pair that work together. A & B. To B from A.
Are you asking how to back-link or how to bookmark?
You cannot create A & B and then expect the user to do: A ▶ B ▶ A
If you want B ▶ A, you need to create another pair: C, D
Put C next to B and D next to A, then the user can do: C ▶ D, which in effect takes them from B back to A.
Now you have two unique pairs: A/B & C/D

I want to remotely login to my schools server (solaris) to do the projects. The environment variables dont match. and it asks me to enable backing store. Can some one please tell me how to do that in X11.app please..
Here is what I do to login

try to invoke the IC station Tool (Design Tool for Layouts )

There is another warning I get in the beginning that tells me to Enable Backing store . By doing it it should solve the problem.
I have searched over the internet and I have found out that in X11 Backing store is not enabled by default and I have to edit some file and remove -bs from that file .
Can someone guide me how to do this?
