How to enable cross origin support in SharePoint

Could someone please help me to enable cross origin (CORS) support on SharePoint 2010. I am following steps mentioned in http://www.avanadeblog.com/sharepointasg/2013/01/cors-request-to-sharepoint-with-basic-authentication.html and http://evolpin.wordpress.com/2012/10/12/the-cors/
but getting 401 unauthorized error.

Did you wirte a custom HTTP Module ?
As the above articles said, “There is a known Problem in IIS 7 with preflight requests (more information on preflight requests can be found here).
When using CORS you have to deal with this type of Requests because they send an HTTP Options request to determine whether it is safe to process the request or not. As you are going to enable Basic Authentication IIS 7 is expecting to get some credentials
also with the options request and that will fail with a 401 (Unauthorized). “
The solution to this is writing a custom HTTP Module that changes the response header to any OPTIONS Request from 401(Unauthorized) to 200 (OK).

Hi Windows 2008 support only TLS 1.0 not 1.1 and 1.2, so it works OK. To use higher TLS protocols you must use at least 2008R2 SP1 or higher version of Windows server

I'm working on an extranet and i would like users to be able to fill a form on the site.
Since i'm going to use sharepoint 2013 how can i configure sharepoint to use both anonymous access and windows authentication at the same time.
I know for sure it can be done but what can be allowed for anonymous access e.g specific list site etc..
I would need to make some area available as anonymous e.g a whole site as i would like to brand it a little to host the form.Any tips of who has configured similar would be appreciated

Thanks for posting your query, Kindly follow the below mentioned steps to enable Anonymous access to a SharePoint 2013 site.
In Central Administration, under Application Management., click Manage web applications.
Select the web application you want to enable anonymous access for.
In the Security group on the ribbon, click Authentication Providers.
In the Authentication Providers dialog box, under Zone, click Default.
On the Edit Authentication page, select the Enable anonymous access check box.
Click Save.
Close the Authentication Providers dialog box.

How to enable hardware virtualisation support?

Today I upgraded to mac os x lion and when I open parallels desktop it asks me to enable hardware virtualisation support on my MacBook pro so that I can run windows xp as a virtual machine. I have searched the net and cannot find a way to access the bios to enable this feature, please could I have some support and advise on how to enable the VT. I did have any problems whilst I was on os x snow leopard and parallels used to work fine.

Boot camp is the way to go then you will be able to turn it on. Run boot camp install windows xp and you be able to get into the bios

How to enable cross domain file loading in Firefox

I have some javascript on domain A which would load a file on domain B, and I need to enable cross site data transferring in browsers.
For IE, I can set it in Options -> Security -> Custom Level -> Enable Cross Site Data transferring
For Chrome and Safari, launch the browser with additional parameter --disable-security-server
But for firefox, I don't know how to do this, when I am visiting the web page on domain A, it returned me 401 unauthorized error.

How to: Enable CUDA GPU Support for "Unsupported Cards" in CS6 (same process as in CS5+) :) for MAC

Hi all, I previously was involved in some discussion regarding GPU acceleration with CUDA in Premier Pro CS5 using an 'Unsupported card' with my Macbook Pro... I would like to show you this still works and will be here to show the process for anyone, and will post a video of the whole thing as a step-by-step probably tomorrow (its quite late where i am just now) but I'll give you a quick run through just now... Proof at bottom of page...
Ps. This only applies to Nvidia card Macs.. I have no ATI card mac to try this out as OpenCL etc but i would imagine it would be a similar process...
Step 1... Install Cuda drivers for your Mac (im using 4.2.7) here   http://www.nvidia.com/object/mac-driver-archive.html
Step 2... Install GfxCardStatus and force your graphics (if using a laptop) to discrete card only   http://codykrieger.com/gfxCardStatus
Step 3... Open Terminal... and run GpuSniffer... path as follows for original default installation directory, copy and paste then hit enter or change as required
              /Applications/Adobe\ Premiere\ Pro\ CS6/Adobe\ Premiere\ Pro\ CS6.app/Contents/GPUSniffer.app/Contents/MacOS/GPUSniffer

Step 4... Using the name of your card from the above output, i have it underlined, in my case a GeForce GT 330M, copy this exact name as we will now add it to the list of supported cards...
Step 5... Using terminal still, again assuming default install directories, copy and paste then hit enter on the following...
             sudo nano /Applications/Adobe\ Premiere\ Pro\ CS6/Adobe\ Premiere\ Pro\ CS6.app/Contents/cuda_supported_cards.txt
You will then be asked for your computer password, type it and hit enter, it will not be shown as you type FYI... You will then see the default supported cards, add your card by pasting the name you have as in Step 4, then use ctrl+x to escape, type Y to save and hit enter a couple of times to get out...
You should now be able to run Premier Pro CS6 using the CUDA GPU option you can select in Renderer as you start a new project!!
Any questions i will try to answer them as soon as possible, and as i said i'll screen capture and record a video tutorial as i know that would be of help to some of you out there.. Some proof, here is a pic...

Very usefull! it worked perfectly on premiere cs6 on my macbook pro 2.8ghz with geforce gt 330m, Any suggestion for enabling ray traced 3d also in after effect? I inserted the geforce gt 330m on the after effect card list, but when i enable ray traced 3d the text in the comp disappear!

Hello,
It seems enterprise feature is not activated to your site, not CA. Please go to your site Site Settings/Site Collection Administration/Features and activate the SharePoint Server Enterprise Site Collection features.

The partial answer is that you use fonts that can display those characters. But you may also have to address how to enter them from the keyboard, how to store them in databases, how to transmit them via HTTP... depending on your actual requirements.

How to enable resource sharing with complex AEBS setup

I have a complex AEBS + Netgear network configuration that I am trying to enable resource sharing on. The Netgear router is necessary because it provides excellent per-user parental controls and content filtering that the AEBS lacks. The setup is operational (network connectivity works as expected), but I cannot figure out how to enable cross-network resource visibility and sharing.
Here is the network configuration:

The Mini, AppleTV, Wii and MBPC2Duo all connect wirelessly with the AEBS. The Netgear router is wired to the AEBS. This in turn has 2 wired clients and three wireless clients as illustrated.
The Netgear router receives an IP address assignment from the AEBS (in the 10.0.1.x range) via DHCP and in turn assigns IP addresses (in the 192.168.1.x range) to attached clients via DHCP
The setup is operational and operates flawlessly --network-wise. However, I now need to enable resource sharing as follows:
1) Setup the Mini as the media hub, configured to allow:
a. storage of all iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie and garage band content to an attached external hard drive,
b. sharing of content on the Mini with iTunes on each computer (Macs and Pcs) and the AppleTV
2) Share the printer attached to Windows XP PC2 with all computers (Macs and PCs)
Questions:
1. Is this possible with this network configuration?
2. If so, how would I configure the relevant elements?
3. Is it better to attach the external media storage to the AEBS vs attaching it to the Mini?

Thanks Tesserax. After some digging I was able to find bridge mode config instructions for the Netgear router.
Follow-up question:
Given my desire to centralize media access via the Mac Mini, what is the best way to set up my media storage device (320G HD)?
I see the following options:
A. NAS device via USB 2.0 connection to the AEBS, or
B. Supplemental hard drive on the Mac Mini via USB 2.0 or Firewire.

SharePoint Online cross-origin framing, changing page in autohosted MVC app

I have created SharePoint Autohosted app on MVC5 template. I have created a controller and the Index view associated with it. The view is responsible for showing the user a list of announcements, taken from database and passed to the view through the model.
In the layout page for this view I have the link for Create Announcement view which is in the same Announcements folder, and the same controller is responsible for showing it. When I include the app in the page using Client Web Part the Index view is showing
correctly, and I can see the hyperlinks to Create Announcement page. When I click the link I am presented with blank page within the webpart container and in Firebug I can see:
Load denied by X-Frame-Options: https://GUID.o365apps.net/Announcements/Create?SPHostUrl=site_collection_address does not permit cross-origin framing.
Why? This is the same domain, right?
I have already tried <webpartpages:allowframing runat="server" /> and httpmodules. Those do not work. BTW Why?
I am really frustrated, please give me some advice what to do.

Alright, this is freaking riddiculous. I have found the issue after 8 hours of digging in this mud. This little jebaka was in the Create view markup:
@Html.AntiForgeryToken()
And this also has to be thrown out as far as possible:
[ValidateAntiForgeryToken]
from every method which is decorated with it (ie. all POST methods)
I know, I know, security blah blah blah.
If the app is not working at all, there is no need for security.
I still hope for a word of explanation from someone from M$. I would really be pleased to know how should it be done in the right way.

I noticed that you said you can see the ‘All files’ folder in home laptop ,but it is missing when open in the production environment .Did this happen to
all the sites or the site in the specific web application ?Have you extend the web application into an Internet zone?
Actually you should change the SharePoint designer settings in both Central Administration and Site collection settings .Perform an IIS reset after change
the settings and reopen the site in SharePoint designer.
