Stamina Extended standby mode: recommended apps/services list to be excluded

Hello, gurus. Would you please give an advice for the following: I switch on the Extended standby stamina mode, and I really want to exclude some applications and services from being paused in order not to loose phone flexibility completely. As for the apps, well, it mostly depends on the specific user and probably I can take this decision myself, but as for the services, I'm completely lost in this huge list. As for the half of them I don't know what they do actually. So, is there some recommended list of applications to be excluded from standby mode? Basing on your experience probably. @uliwooly Thank you for your answer. But why does the developer include an option to set a list of "Apps active in standby" then? This is stated as a proved and working solution on the support page, but there are no recommendations there, which services should be kept running. for an old game I need the video mode 640x480x8. Unfortunately I can't select the video mode using Catalyst for the Satego P200 with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600. Is there a way to enable this video mode?

The game is Starcraft and its' addon Broodwar. As version 2 is in the works and some friends and I played it very often in former times we started playing it again. Kind of veteran meeting but quite fun. :)
There are not many posts about it but there seems to be a problem related to s-video output when using 640x480. I am quite sure the graphics adapter, the display and the driver are able to support this mode. So I hope there's maybe neat trick to change some *.inf file or something similar to reactivate the mode.

Here is how to enable full screen mode for AIR Mac Desktop Apps

I just discovered that with a very simple native extension method, I can enable full screen mode for AIR Mac Desktop Applications.
This gets you the full screen icon in the top right, and it works perfectly with no changes to my code. (Obviously only works on Lion and above, since this is a Lion feature)

I know Kinect v2 Depth sensor metrics as 50cm to 4.5m (Reliably) - 8m(max - can't track people).
Are there any way to switch Extended Depth mode like as Kinect v1 Depth sensor?

* 40cm to 3m (Near depth mode)
* 4m to 10m (Extended depth mode)

How to enable Extended Features in Reader 10

I have pdf forms that were created in Acrobat 8 Pro. Users could change the fields on the forms and save them. Our Enterprise has since "upgraded" to Reader 10. Users can longer make changes in the fields of the forms created in v.8 Pro. I have read the solution in this forum to this issue, which is:
"To Reader-enable a document in Acrobat 10, select: File > Save As > Reader Extended PDF > Enable Additional Features.
Do this as the final step when preparing the document to be sent out."
However, I do not have File > Save As > Reader Extended PDF. Under the File > Save As menu, I only have PDF or Text, not Reader Extended. So how can I fix these pdf's so users can edit the fields and save them? We have hundreds of these documents we need to edit then save. Many thanks.

If your menu only says "PDF" and "Text" you're in Adobe Reader, not Acrobat.

I've a Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 Serial ATA HD. The highest mode I can achieve is Ultra ATA-100 (mode 5) and not the maximum support by Barracuda the Ultra ATA-133 (mode 6). How can I enable mode 6 in Windows XP?

I know this is an old question and perhaps the technology has changed since it was discussed. However, I too have been trying to enable Ultra DMA 6 on my Windows XP machine using two 300GB Maxtor Diamond 10 drives (SATA Ultra 16 150mb). Well, I finally figured out that when I change On Chip ATA Operating Mode From Native Mode to Legacy Mode, the windows hardware manager now indicates that all drives are running in Ultra DMA 6. The reality is that there is really no difference in the drive benchmarks when tested with Sandra. The DMA 5 actually may be a bit faster. What's the deal?????

WLS11g How to start in STANDBY mode?

I understand this was possible using weblogic.Admin (now deprecated).
I assume it can be done with WLST, but help nodemanager and help lifecycle doesn't show how, neither does the documentation.

is good, just tried it. Then I can use the console to resume the servers to running. Cool.
So I guess, assuming this switch is the only way to achieve this, it only makes sense in combination with nodemanager because otherwise I couldn't use the console to get the server into RUNNING mode.
I also wonder if there is a way to bring it back from RUNNING to STANDBY.
http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs103/server_start/server_life.html isn't really exact, since "Resume" transforms from STANDBY to RUNNING. But these are just details.

Qosmio G30: How to enable extended desktop?

Is it possible to extend the desktop across the laptop monitor and and external monitor when it is connected to an external monitor? I see in the manual it talks about "simultaneous" display using external and laptop monitor, but I need it to be "extended" across both monitors and not just "duplicated" to both monitors.
Also, can both these monitors run at different resolutions (e.g., 1280x1024 on the external and standard laptop resolution)?
Also is it possible to drive two external monitors from the single monitor out (I don't think so, but thought I would ask)?

Hmm, pity about that. I would have thought you could drive monitors off both the VGA and HDMI (DVI) which is normally the case with VGA and DVI.
Maybe not only do I need to wait for a 1900 monitor, but also that capability. I wonder how the another laptop works with this? Maybe back to looking at that option.

Hi Aditya,
I don't think it can be done dynamically the way you described... But I believe you can create two business services, one with chunked=on and the other with chunked=off and route to one of them dynamically according to your configuration...

Please is not in pfile that you enable/disable archive log mode.
For ENABLE Archivelog mode:
shutdown immediate
startup mount
alter database archivelog;
alter database open;
For DISABLE Archivelog mode:
shutdown immediate
startup mount
alter database noarchivelog;
alter database open;
