How to enable InsertBar when editing .js, .css files?

Hello DW Team,
When i opened .css , .js file.. Whole Insertbar object goes dim and disabled. How to enable InsertBar when editing .js, .css files?
Any solution to enable it?

Objects are designed to be used in an HTML document. Snippets are designed more for Code View.
The only reasonable way I can think to get around this limitation is to create a temporary HTML document with either a <script> or <style> block, insert the desired Object, then copy the result to the desired .js or .css file.
What exactly are you trying to do? Maybe some details could remind me of some other way to do what you want.

I think I have the answer.
I was experiencing the exact same problem. I tried lots of different things but what I think works is to exclude your iTunes folder from Spotlight. Open the System Preference for Spotlight, click on the Privacy tab, and then drag your iTunes folder (in your user/Music folder) into that window pane. In fact, I think it is faster when I am fixing tags!

I have designed a chart using java and ilog API, and i am applying the visual setting from .css file. But i have some option in GUI to change the visual settings. For ex: background color,leged text syle etc. I should provide one button to save the existing visual settings of the graph in .css. ( It may replace or edit the existing .css file. Please help me out regarding this.

We can use the css file to apply the styles to chart... We have some readymade API it does that. It not only for HMTL. So when we run our application first time it will read the .css file and apply the properties. For example The background color in .css file is green. When we run the application first time it will apply green color to the chart background. Then i have some API it changes the chart background as user wants. for ex : red. When i close the application the i have to replace the .css background value as red from green. And we have to save the changed .css. My Q is very much unambiguous..

You didn't mention any color calibration being done on your monitor. This is an essential part of any color-correct workflow. What are you using to calibrate your monitor (and your printer)?
Print profiles (for soft-proofing as well as printing) are for specific combinations of paper & printer. The nine you have are each, most likely, for a common paper (perhaps mfr'd by Canon) to be used with your printer.
I don't know what you mean when you say "I choose a high standard print option".
Have you read the User Manual chapter on printing?

When I am uploading a CSS or Static file , I get the following error. But I can upload images files with no issues.

Yes, if you upload an image on a normal Oracle Apex Database its stored in the DB.
But, if you remember, when you configire apex you specify an images directory /i/.
Under this directory you will find all the images that apex uses as well as css files, etc.
If you place your image in this directory you can reference it my modifying the appropriate stylesheet/template.
So, for example, you cna place your own stylesheets in the appropriate directory on the server.

Title with incremental number -- how to approach this when editing in Premiere CS4

Ok, I'm not sure if this is possible, but here is what I would like to accomplish:
I've recorded a Tour in Google Earth Pro - you know the camera 'flying' from placemark to placemark. I've measured the amount of kilometers between placemarks. What I would like to do is to display a title/number in the left top of the screen in Premiere which displays the number of KMs traveled, incrementing when the camera flies. I need dynamic text that increments e.g. from 0 to 2000 KMs from frame 1 to 500. I'm not sure which approach is best to accomplish this, and if it can be accomplished inside of Adobe Premiere. D70 should have multiple camera profiles available if you're looking at a raw file. Jpegs will just have embedded.
I don't have any A330 files to check those I'm afraid, but Adobe have only built multiple profiles for the most popular DSLR's (mainly Canon/Nikon) so that could explain it.

Cannot add new selectors or edit existing CSS file with my Mac

I have just subscibed to Dreamweaver CC and I cannot add new selectors or edit the exisiting "main" css that comes with the tutorial. When asked to add selector a box appears but when I press enter/return twice it disappears. Also there is no option to edit existing properties. for example, to change a font color I pick color but there is no enter or "OK" option. I'm very puzzled and stuck.

The trial version of Dreamweaver is fully functional. The only limitation is that it stops working after 30 days. If you're having problems with getting the software to work correctly, it might be a good idea to try posting a question in the Downloading, Installing, Setting Up forum, mentioning the fact that you've already posted here (otherwise, they might just transfer you back to this or one of the other Dreamweaver forums).
If you can't make changes to files, it might have something to do with permissions or the user account that you've logged onto the computer with.
When asking for help in the other forum, mention your operating system, and which version you're using. The problem might be related to your computer setup.

Quality degradation when editing a WMV file

I have a long duration WMV file (more than one hour) that I want to edit, with the goal of creating multiple files that can be uploaded to YouTube. The file is recording of a PowerPoint presentation with voiceover. It was delivered live on Webex (Cisco's online meeting service), recorded using Webex's built-in recording, then converted from their proprietary format (file extension .ARF) to WMV using the converter utility that Webex provides.
The resulting WMV is quite large (approx 150 MB) and quite sharp/clear to watch/listen when played in the Windows media player.
As stated above, I want to edit the video into chunks that are 15 minutes or shorter, and post to YouTube.
I am using Adobe Premiere Elements v. 8.
So, I do my editing, resulting in content that is less than 15 minutes. I go to the Share tab, click on Personal Computer as the type of share, and choose Windows Media. The file renders. What results is a new WMV that, when played in the Windows media player, has just awful visual quality - the smaller text in the PowerPoint cannot even be read, whereas it was quite easy to read in the original WMV recording.
Any ideas how I can get output that is as good as my original recording?
Is it really necessary to "re-render" the project, since I am going from WMV to WMV? Can't I just snip/delete to get the content that I want to keep, without rendering?

That’s a good place to start. The slides I am working with are TIF images extracted from PowerPoint and saved at 300 DPI. Their default size is 3070 x 2302, but I can open them in Photoshop and resize.

Given my goal and the materials I am starting with, what are the ideal pre-sets to choose when I begin the project?

Which matches the “NTSC 4:3 720x480 with a PAR (Pixel Aspect Ratio) of 0.9” that you use?
4:3 refers to the image’s aspect ratio, correct? I did not look at every Project Preset that is offered, but in the ones I did look at, I did not see a 4:3 aspect ratio specified…

How to update bookmarks when merging two PDF files?

We have a company catalog that gets generated once a night. It's three step process:
     Step 1) A raw XML file gets generated from our main ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics).
     Step 2) Then that raw XML file is ran against a stylesheet with XEP to produce a nice professional looking catalog.
     Step 3) And the third step is a script that merges the front and back covers with the main catalog produced in step 2. Each cover is two pages (front and back).
My problem is when step 3 runs it produces a final catalog but all the bookmarks are off by 2 pages because the front cover adds two pages in the very beginning. This post may be premature because up until now I've been merging the PDF pages with a program called "GhostScript" and it allows me to merge them via line command. I'm just now trying out AcroExch.App COM Object for VBScript so I'll see if it works but wanted to fire this out for help to see if anyone has encountered this or can confirm if Adobe automatically updates them for you? When I "Merge" the PDF files through Acrobat Pro they get updated automatically, so hopefully it will work the same way with AcroExch.App Object.   Thanks guy!

I think you might be misunderstanding what I'm saying... we are not performing tasks for non-licensed individuals. We purchased a copy of Adobe Acrobat Standard so we could create a PDF of our catalog. That catalog we then put on our website and let people download it. Since our products change all the time, we generate a new catalog every night. The term "server" is just a place where a script runs, I could have it run on my desktop computer if that's really an issue but I think we're talking semantics. Acrobat is not what produces the main catalog PDF, that is done through XEP when it runs through the raw XML produced by our ERP software every night. The only thing we want Acrobat to do is an automated process to merge 3 PDF files together: Front Cover, Main Catalog and Back Cover. That's it.   Are you saying that is against the EULA of Adobe for us to do that?
Now for the bookmark problem, what do you recommend I do then? When I merge all three of those PDF files in Acrobat Standard manually it works perfect. All I'm trying to do is automate that process once every night. I know how to automate with Acrobat, I just can't figure out how to fix the bookmark problem?

How do I import (and edit) a QT file from a DVD?

Have been sent some footage on a DVD which I believe is in Quicktime, and I need to import it into iMovie(3.0.3) and edit it: How do i do this? the files are all marked .VOB, .IFO and .BUP - I can't actually open them and play them on the Quicktime7 player, but on the DVD menu the file is named as "[scenes] in Quicktime"
I am not particularly adept technically and can't follow many of the posts on this topic, so i don't know if this has already been answered! (sorry...)
I can play the DVD using my DVD player, although there are no chapters, etc. I just need to extract one scene and edit it into another film project (urgently).

Viewing DVD (MPEG-2 format) files using QuickTime requires the purchase of the MPEG-2 Playback Component ($20 from Apple Store).
After you install the MPEG-2 Playback Component I would also use MPEG Streamclip 1.5.1 (free download) to "export" (just the chapter you need) to DV Stream.
This new .dv file can be edited and exported using iMovie or added to other iMovie Projects.

How do you output iMovie edited hd camcorder file to an HDTV in HD

I bought the hd camcorder recommended by David Pogue NYTIMES and imported the video using an old version of Imovie HD in my 2009 macbook pro. After editing in Imovie HD. The only way I have found to may play a HD version of this edited video is if I burn it back to my video camera. If I try to play the edited version from my mac it is always low quality, nothing approaching the HD quality your video camera plays with the mac edited content. Unfortunately the newer versions of Imovie delete this ability to copy the edited HD content back to your video camera. At least this is how it appears to work for me. I have tried everything I can think of to output HD edited vidoecam footage from the MAC to my HD TVs. it is always low quality compared to the video camera. Can anyone help or am I as stuck as I think?

Edit Band.css file to change datasheet view background color causes adverse effects

Hi. I'm using SharePoint 2007 still and we are using the blueglassband.master theme. With this theme the background color of the site is a dark blue but this causes datasheet view grids to be extremely dark.
I have found fixes to edit the .body tag and set it to FFFFFF and then add a form#aspnetForm element and set the dark blue background there, and this has worked successfully...
Or so I thought. It turns out this has caused a weird issue in other pages in SharePoint where-by half the page is dark blue as expected, but then it changes to white.
Even more bizarre, it seems the "half way" mark where the color changes is dependent on the initial size of the IE window when the page gets first rendered. That is, the blue to white change occurs at the point in the page that touches the
bottom of the IE window. Bigger IE window = change happens later.
Any ideas on this one?
