How to enable keyboard light and BT on Satellite A500D-10E

Hello.
I would like to turn on the backlight on my keyboard on my Toshiba Satellite A500D-10E.
But I can not find the on button. I read in the manual and it said to use fn+z, however this combination does nothing on my keyboard.
Is there another way to turn it on.
Also I cannot get my bluetooth to work, It allways get stuck during installation. Is there a bluetooth unit built into Toshiba Satellite A500D-10E?

Hi
You should know that not all A500D are equipped with the same hardware parts.
There are different hardware configurations
So A500D-10E does not support Bluetooth and therefore you cannot enable the BT module.
I think its the same with keyboard if the keyboard does not contain such sign then this would mean that keyboard backlight is not supported.
I think you can find in user manual a information that such function is supported only by certain notebook models.

Just adding on to Nameeta's post, there is a supress download checkbox in the advanced setting s link(Settings -> Advanced Settings) on the client, this will supress downloads for all syncbos and not just for any one syncbo. Also there are no tools in the middleware to add these settings, the only way to do this is to modify the xml manually.

No it is not possible to add the xml file to the already compiled war and not compiling again.
There are only two ways to add the policy file to weblogic deployed web service.
1: through the policy annotation in the web service java file.
2: through the admin console if the web service is deployed as a separate war.

How to turn the light on on a Satellite P300-23V + user guide on CD

I wonder how you turn the light on on a SATELLITE P300-23V?
I mean the light that show a lightbar above the touchpad and and the name Satellite is lit up too.
In the manual it says how to do it with the thin remote controll but there is no on this model.
I know I have been able to turn of/on the light with some key combination before but now I can't find it now.
I have upgraded from Vista 32bit to Windows 7 64bit and maybe some Thoshiba features was lost doing that?
I have also lost my CD with the more extended user guide. I have searched for it on the download area but it seems not be there for downloading.
Any hints how to get it?

I could have sworn that I used some buttons on the keypad to light up the lamps but apparantly not.
I found it in the BIOS as you said and it works.
And now I also have the user guide which is more extended than the printed one.

How to stop keyboard lighting change?

Ok so my question is pretty straight forward, I want to know how I can stop the illuminated keyboard from changing lighting levels when I go from a dark room to a lit room.
For example, lets say I'm in a dark room and I illuminate the keyboard on the MBP by about two levels, if I take my laptop to my bathroom and switch the light on the keyboard illumination level jumps to like the 8th level. I want to make it so that when I go in between the lit room and dark room that the keyboard lighting does not change levels.

It is unchecked, and I think the setting your talking about has to do with the keyboard illuminating by itself when it's in the dark, what I am trying to fix is the illumination levels on my keyboard from changing from low to high when I take my MBP from a low lit room to a bright room.
I'm starting to think theirs no setting to change what is going on. :/

first you should configure the tax codes and tax types. and payment mothod related to your company code.
you can set the configure on tax code using the T>Code : FTXP in calculation bases.
once you done the configuration of input/output tax you can give the tax indicator on related *GL master data* in sales a/c and purchase select the input tax or out put tax.
If your posting the document in F-22 or F-43 the system is not display the payment method you can go to field statues variant and select the required button in payment method and save. t.code is OBC4 .
you start the entry of document in third screen click on tax calculation button and select any one of this Vo,V1 or V2. after you can simulate the entry the system generate the entry of below:
vendor a/c dr
to vat 12.5% ; a/c cr
to service tax a/c cr
to ed.cess a/c cr
to hr ed.cess cr

Having start up problems, keyboard light and loudness adjustment via keyboard does not work

Often if I start my MacBookPro 13" with Lion it starts up and is than blocked. I can not open the finder nor starting any programm. The turning wheel never stops and I have to restart the book by pressing the on/off button for a long time. Sometimes I need to do that several times till it runs stable.
During this week I experienced in addition that the keyboard light is not working anymore and also the loudspeaker adjustment does not work via keybaord. Only via menu bar.
Any idea what's going on with my book?

Satellite P100-253: How to enable speaker lights

Hello out there...
I have read some post inhere who refere to Blue LED light under the speaker...
My question is, there is NO blue LED light in both of my "speakers", i have a P100-253, so where can i turn it on ? or is there no Blue LED on this model ???

I found information that the models with integrated Intel 945GM graphic card are delivered without blue LED speakers and the models delivered with NVIDIA graphic card have blue LED speakers.

Yosemite upgrade: function keys no longer work, no keyboard lights and have to sign in twice after sleep mode. Anybody else having these problems?

Since I did the Yosemite 'upgrade' last week I have been having problems with my MacBook Pro that never happened before. The most frustrating problems involve my keyboard which doesn't light up (checked my settings and they are correct) and the top row of function keys don't do anything so I can't adjust the volume, brightness, etc. Then if my screen goes into sleep mode, when I wake it back up I have to sign back in twice - I never had to sign in at all after sleep mode before.
I'm finding that in order to get it working properly I am having to completely shut down and start up again but when the keyboard problems are happening I can't get anything on the apple dropdown to work either (i.e. shut down, restart, etc) so I can only shut down by pressing and holding the on/off button.
I've never had problems with my Macbook before and feel like Apple have completely ruined it in one update! I've had a look through other posts on here but can't find anybody else having these problems so I would be really grateful if anyone could help me and offer me some advice on how to sort it out.

What's with keyboard lighting and time machine in 10.7.4???

Ever since I "upgraded" to 10.7.4 Lion on my Macbook Pro, It refuses to let me turn off keyboard backlighting (which drives me nuts and eats power when trying to run on batteries). Also suddenly the time machine backup icon went active and claimed to be backing up to SOMEWHERE. That is just nuts because I have no backup drive connected, and I haven't enabled backing up to iCloud (I just don't feel like paying for 500GB of extra storage for some strange reason). So where are the contents of my hard drive being syphoned off to???

Sometimes, if your Mac loses track of a drive at just the wrong time, files will get written to a folder in the hidden Volumes folder instead of the actual drive. See the blue box in Where did my Disk Space go?
If you're not using Time Machine at all, be sure it's turned OFF in the Preferences window.
And by the way, Time Machine won't back up to iCloud.

I installed Trusted Solaris extensions in an X86 desktop and after that the cdwrite disappeared, the usb drive is not detected.
How do I enable the CD writer and the zip drive ? I have a file to be copied urgently, the USB drive doesn't work, the CD writer is not seen on the menu and internet / email is still not functional on this desktop
If there are some commands to be typed, please give me step by step instructions with command syntax and if there is a file to be altered please let me know where to find that file to be altered.

It's the same for Solaris. Take care about the line breaks in the document (sometimes one command seems to be two commands, it's one with parameters) and there is also a small bug: On page 6, step 5, it must read "Directory = topicmaps/example" (as printed in the screenshot).

The ASP is your last chance!
I found also this thread about a crisis recovery disk but such workaround can be made only at your own risk. If you will damage the Rom module or the motherboard then the ASP will be not able to help you and a mobo must be replaced.
So its your own decision.
Personally I would contact the ASP for details...
