How to enable online editing of Adobe Illustrator document on SharePoint 2010 ?

Folks,
I have installed SharePoint 2010 and have enabled CMIS (on SharePoint). Does Adobe products have CMIS enabled as well ? Basically I want to enable online editing of Adobe files (Illustrator) on SharePoint 2010.
Any help or pointers is appreciated.

On SharePoint 2010, there is a Digital Asset Library where I uploaded images. If I upload a MS-Paint aware images such as jpeg, I can click edit on it directly. I can also save it directly into SharePoint.
How do I do the same for *.ai files ?
I am actually trying to figure out how to integrate the various Adobe products (including Illustrator) with SharePoint 2010 to enable our users to view and edit Adobe files.

We just changed some SMARTFORMS to the new Adobe Forms technology. Now we learned that direct frontend printing does not work with these forms.

I think you'll be disappointed by a rather negative answer but I'll try to explain everything I know (or think I know) the best I can
The simplest solution is to do a preview, and print from Adobe Reader! (as I could see on one project, users have to display one more dialog than usually to print) It's the best workaround according to me.
How Adobe form printing works:
When you print an Adobe form from SAP, a printer language (PCL, PS, ZPL, PDF) is retrieved from TSP0B table according to the device type, ADS (Adobe Document Services, installed in the SAP java stack) is then contacted to generate the form: a file corresponding to the printer language is generated and sent back to SAP (there are also 2 other little files but it's of none interest here). SAP stores it as a file (named SPOOL...) in the global directory (DIR_GLOBAL when you use AL11 transaction).
When you ask SAP to print it, it sends the file as is to the printer.
Note: when you ask SAP to display the spool, SAP sends a request to ADS which will send back a PDF (binary stream which is not stored on disk, just displayed on frontend).
How frontend printing works:
If you want to print a normal spool via frontend, SAP doesn't know the language of the printer you will choose. SAP sends the spool in a format named SAPWIN to a frontend program named SAPLPD, it converts the SAPWIN format into GDI, a Windows format that is understood by all printer drivers, and it is sent to the printer driver (you have selected) which converts the GDI format into the printer language.
Any workaround?
First possibility would be that ADS converts the PDF into SAPWIN format (by creating an Adobe .XDC file at the ADS side). SAP says it's not possible in Note 685571 - Printing PDF-based forms. As I understand, SAPWIN is a very simple language compared to PCL for example, so it is very difficult to convert a PDF to SAPWIN without losing much information. There's a SAP note about the SAPWIN language if you want to check.
Second possibility is to print directly the PDF through Adobe Reader: you get the PDF from ADS, download it to the frontend (easy), and execute directly Adobe Reader print function. Unfortunately, I don't know if it's possible. Moreover, we should enhance the standard SAP print dialog...
Third possibility is the one I recommended at the beginning of this post

Designer doesn't have a debugger like Acrobat.
The script editor can check only if the syntax is correct.
You generally can use the PDF-Preview to debug JavaScripts when Acrobat is your current PDF-Viewer.
Add this code in you script where you want to start debugging. It will call Acrobat's JS Console

Can anyone guide me how to check the version of the adobe illustrator document.(currently active document).
I tried using app.version which gives the version of adobe illustrator application i.e 12.0.0 for CS2.
But i want the version of the illustrator document.I tried app.activeDocument.version which gives me the undefined value.
Any suggestion on this ?????
Also please help me on the script for finding out the font type used in the document. e.g. times new roman,arial new etc.

Illustrator cannot open files in the "Adobe Illustrator Document" format.

I recently upgraded from CS4 to CS5.5 on my Mac (10.6.7), and now when I try to open a .ai file, I get the error:
Illustrator cannot open files in the “Adobe Illustrator Document” format.
Google doesn't seem to be much help other than one other person who had the same issue. Any idea why Illustrator can't open Illustrator documents?

Actually, quitting Illustrator and re-launching it solved it. It was the first time I had launched Illustrator after installing it, so maybe it had something to do with that.

How to use vector file without adobe illustrator?? please help

I am using the free trial period of adobe illustrator to creat a logo. I don't want to buy illustrator b/c I don't plan on using the program for anything else, I would like to save my logo in some kind of vector format so I can use it for lots of different printing options. But I can't figure out how to do this b.c my computer won't open the file without illustrator. Is there anyway to creat a usable print friendly logo without buying illustrator? Thanks for any help!

I believe if you export it to wmf or emf you will have a Vector file that can be used in word or powerpoint and can be placed in other programs as can ai files which can be placed in word or powerpoint documents as vector files.
Flash (swf) is another way of saving it and it is also vector.
However even though you say you will never have use for Illustrator which is what I thought in 1995 when I use it to create a logo, I soon found more use for it and every year since have found a project that has rewarded me many times the cost of the application once I had purchased it. Most of which I never thought I had the need for and probably would not have even made the attempt to make the effort and the profit if I did not own the license.
And every time I say to myself what do i have this application for the opportunities arises yet again.
I thought I would share my experience with you.

Is there anyone that can guide me or help me converting Micrografx Designer files into a format I can import and edit in Adobe Illustrator?

I have a number of "old" (2009) drawings in Micrografx Designer format, where I would like to modify some of these in the Adobe Illustrator package I got now. Anybody out there that has some good ideas or that may be able to help me?
I did contact Corel, who purchased Micrografx a couple of years ago, and they cannot help (maybe because I am an Apple osx user).

CorelDraw, both CorelDraw proper and CorelDesigner purport to open them. I believe you will loose any dimension lines. Could be wrong, but I only looked at a single thread in the Corel forums.
You could download a trial--Windows only I am afraid--and give it a try.
I have CorelDraw installed here if you would like me to see how the faithfully the process really works getting the DRW files into CD and then into Illy. The 'Pagination' for few of the subforms are editable, and for few of the subforms are not editable.
Actaully i have to set the 'overflow' for one subform, but the whole pagination is dispaly mode.
(i can edit pagination for other subforms).
can someone help how to make it editable.

You might have some problem with Pages. We have two type of pages body and master. If a perticular subform is there in master page you can not edit it on the body page.

How do I download upgrade for adobe illustrator 10?

I recently upgraded to OSX 10.8.2 and am trying to download upgrade for adobe illustrator. I keep getting error messages. What do I do?

How do you keyboard scroll an Adobe Reader document the same way as a web page?

When I use the up and down arrows using a browser it simply scroll the page as a whole, not line for line. I can not seem to figure out how to do the same with Adobe Reader. I often have 2 column documents (similar to newspaper width) and find it frustrating scrolling as the cursor jumps around. It's not a smooth transition at all. I am often frustrated with this. How can I fix it? I searched and google and did not find anything. Automatic scroll is the closest I can get it to work. Seems like such a simple task is made complicated.

Like I said in the original post I'm using the arrow keys. The page up keys are for scrolling entire pages. I want to smooth scroll as you can with browsers. Can't seem to figure it out. The page keys are choppy and it's easy to loose your place this way. Using the arrow keys only scrows a cursor on the last page the cursor was on. If I skip from page 1 to 10 for example, and my cursor is still sitting on page 1, if I hit the arrow key, it brings me back to page 1. I experience this on ALL systems using Adobe Reader.

Adobe 3D, Ver8 and SharePoint 2010

We recently updated from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010. We use the Adobe Shared Review (Link to Docu) process to send out documents for markup/comment/review. After the conversion, the documents are still going to the correct review folder as before for all writers but two.
These writers recently had updates made to their PCs and so we went back into SharePoint and recreated new workspaces for them. Next, they started an Adobe Shared Review and recreated a new folder location, typed in the SharePoint Site URL, clicked Get Workspaces, and the workspaces appear in the list.
Each workspace listed has the following document libraries listed: Master Page Gallery and Shared Documents. If these writers choose the Shared Documents library and click Verify, the shared folder location is not valid. If they choose Master Page Gallery and verify, the shared folder location is valid and they are able to add the new folder and complete the Shared Adobe Review process. However, this is not the folder to store and collect document comments/markups because the originator cannot see that any new comments/markups were added by a reviewer.
I am one who is able to send out a review and have the PDF and comment collection folder added to the correct location. However, I did try to add a new folder and I also had a status of shared folder location is not valid when choosing Shared Documents from the library listing.
Is there something different from SharePoint 2007 to 2010 that occurred during conversion? Can it be that the correct shared folder location needs synchronizing somehow and if so, how? Any insight is greatly appreciated.

This is a known problem in Acrobat 8/9. You need to upgrade to Acrobat X where this is fixed.
