i have WRT300N installed in my office
need to give RDP session to 2 differnet machines connected in my router from outside i have T1 link
with valide IP configured for the router
please help me

To access your computer using RDC from a Remote location, Follow the steps below.
Login to the Router setup page and click on Application and Gaming tab and under "Single Port Forwarding" in the Application Name type "Comp A" and in the Start Port : 3390 - End Port : 3389 , Protocol : TCP , Enter the IP address of the Computer and check the Box Enable.
For 2nd Computer in Application Name : Type "Comp B", Start Port : 3391 - End Port : 3389 , Protocol : TCP ,  Enter the IP address of the Computer and check the Box Enable and click on Save Settings...
Once you are done with this settings, to access your computer using RDC from the remote location, Note down the WAN IP, which you will find it under the Status tab. To connect to your Computer A, in RDC type WAN IP:3390 and click on Connect, it will let you connect to Computer A.

  • HTC Droid DNA - How to enable Call Forwarding in GSM mode in International Network

    Hi,
I have bought HTC Droid DNA (Verizon) from ebay in India and I am able to use any 2G or 3G GSM network as it not locked by Verizon  however there is no option to enable CALL Forwarding in phone settings.
Please help me and let me know how to enable call forwarding in HTC Droid DNA in GSM mode,

I don't think you can, call forwarding is enabled by Verizon here in the states.  Maybe check with your carrier?

  • WRT54GS .. Call of Duty World at War..enabling port forward

Now i could do with a bit of help here, i contacted the technical support team. I was given the numbers 28960 to enter into the start and end of my port range forward. there was nothing to put in the application column just tick the enable box. But this still did not allow me to play my Call of Duty WaW online. i also changed my ip which caused my whole internet to go down so i had to put the router back to factory setting. Now this morning i had a email which gave me the firmware update ...still no joy ....Also the game does say that they recommend not to use routers, but if you do enable port forwarding.. so now i shall get back to linksys live chat and start again ... If anyone has any idea i would love to here from you ...Many Thanks in Advance

First check if you can play the game when directly connected to the modem. If it works then some ports needs to be opened the router. Get the port information and then open them, for a test purpose enable the DMZ  on router and check if it works.

  • How do I set a "fixed local address" and enable port forwarding?

We are using an iMac G5 with an Airport Express (bought back with the G5 so it's a bit old) and I'm trying to set up the computer so that I can use it with Bosco's Screen Share.
According to the instructions (see step 3) I need to "set your computer’s fixed address on your LAN." so that the Airport will forward a specific port. How do I go about doing this? In my network prefs the Airport is set to use DHCP. Is there something in the Airport Admin that I need to set?
I'm unsure how to go about doing this, any help is greatly appreciated.
    Chris

So I should create another location (in the Network prefs) specifically for screen sharing?
If you are going to switch back and forth between the settings then go ahead but there is no need to do it.
Would I set the port forwarding in the Airport Admin under port mapping?
    Yes

  • How to get Port Forwarding to 8080 working on HH2

    Hi,
How can I get port forwarding to 8080 working on my HomeHub2?
I have a QNAP TS219P NAS connected via wired Ethernet to my HomeHub2.
This has a Web Administration facility that should enable me to access & manage the NAS over the Internet.
I have set the NAS to have a fixed IP address of 198.162.1.100 and enabled a dyndns account to point to my ISP WAN IP. I then used Application Sharing on the HH to forward all traffic to 8080 to the NAS device (called "Kermit" in my case).
However, using http://mysite.dyndns.org:8080 simply brings up the admin page of the Home Hub.
Despite the HH telling me the port is forwarded correctly, http://www.canyouseeme.org reports the port as - "Error: I could not see your service on nn.nn.nn.nn on port (8080) ...Reason: Connection refused"
My HH firewall is set to "Default" (Allow all outgoing connections and block all incoming traffic. Games and application sharing is allowed.), but I have tried disabling it and this made no difference at all.
I know that dyndns and port forwarding are working in other respects, since I also set the NAS up as a Web Server with a simple home page, and forwarded port 80 on the HH through to the NAS. Requests over the Internet for the http://mysite.dyndns.org:80 home page work fine...
There's nothing in the HH Event log that I can make sense of and I'm going mad...
Is anyone able to talk me through some good ideas of how to progress this?

Another thing I thought of- did you setup the port forwarding to forward to your named IP address or to the hostname?
I would recommend setting the port forwarding to your named IP address:
    http://192.168.1.254/app_config.lp?be=1&l2=0&l0=2&l1=4
In this menu (Application Sharing -> Configuration, select "User Defined" in Device. A textfield entry box appears below device and hardcode 192.168.1.100 in there).
Finally, any logs on the QNAP for your external connection attempts? - Could it be passing through the HomeHub and then get rejected by the QNAP?

  • Setting up Time Capsule as primary wireless router and enabling port forwarding

I am attempting to setup my Time Capsule as the primary router on my wireless network. I have an Actiontec Verizon FIOS router that I am connecting the TC to using ethernet, and I was then going to turn off the wireless function on the Verizon router so that the TC will be the only wireless router. I am not exactly sure how to go about this, and I also have to connect a wireless device to the TC that requires a static IP address and port forwarding enabled so that I can access from my iPhone. I am completely lost on how to do this, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Unless Verizon has made a major change in the last few days, you will not be able to use the TC as the primary router......simply because it is not possible to configure the Verizon router to act as a simple modem......which is what it must do if you want to have the TC act as the primary router on your network.
As LaPastenague has explained. turning off the wireless on the Verizon modem/router will not make it a modem.  It will still be a wired modem/router in charge of the network, not allowing the Time Capsule to take over the role of main router for the network.
But, let's assume that I am wrong. Please check with Verizon support and ask them........
    1) If it is somehow now possible to configure their modem/router to act as a simple bridge mode modem. If they say that this is not possible (or they will not support this).....
    2) Ask them if they can provide you with a simple, bridge mode modem......instead of the modem/router that you have now. A simple modem will have only one Ethernet port, and it will not offer any type of routing or wireless service at all.)

  • How do I port forward or open a port on the Airport time capsule to hook p a security system?

I have an airport time capsule and a security system.  The installer doesn't know anything about using routers etc, especially on a mac.  They say I have to port forward or open a port specifically of this device.  I have very few skills when doing this IT type.  Is this hard to do?  Can I do it myself?  He wants to get an IT guy out?  $55 an hour, how long would it take?  Thanks in advance for anyone who can help!

    The method is here.
AirPort - Port Mapping Basics using AirPort Utility v6.x
If you need to get someone in, it depends.. The TC can be recalcitrant.. due to your setup of it following the apple guides.. and it depends on the security system and how simple that is.
There are multiple issues.. for example how do you find your IP address from the web when you have dynamic IP from your ISP.
Do you intend to setup dynamic DNS? Can the camera /dvr system handle Dynamic DNS?
I recommend you read very carefully the instructions for what has been installed.. because merely opening the port is only a small part of the issues involved in remote access to the security system.

  • How to set Port Forwarding for video chat with AIM user?

I'm trying to setup video chat between my Mac in the US (with iChat 3.1) and my friend's PC in Japan (with AIM). I need to know what ports needs to be forwarded on my friend's router, and/or on my router.
Right now, when I attempt video chat with my friend (in Japan) at my home network, the invitation only works one way (me -> friend). And when I try to do it at work, it doesn't work at all.
    Help appreciated,

    Hi,
I am also having a similar problem that perhaps others can help with.
I'm using an iMac G5 with iChat here in the States, and am trying to connect to my parents' PC running AIM 5.5 on Windows XP sp2. To complicate matters, my parents have a Belkin wireless modem/router that they use to connect to the Internet.
Currently, I can text chat with my parents, and send files to them via iChat. However, whenever I try to initiate a video chat, I get an error saying that "Phil Waymouth" (i.e. my computer) isn't responding.
This is where we are at the moment:
    - Internal firewall on my G5 is turned off. I can port scan login.oscar.aol.com fine for both TCP and UDP.
    - XP firewall on my parent's computer is on, but has UPnP Framework (ports TCP 2869 and UDP 1900) set up as an exception.
    - I've gone through the stages on http://portforward.com to set up Port Forwarding on my parents' Belkin router. In addition, we've enable UPnP on the router and restarted it. However, if we use www.myip.dk to get the IP address of one of their computers, and attempt to port scan it, it fails.
It feels like it's still either their router, or some ISP issue that's the problem?
I apologise for re-hashing the same problem, but perhaps someone here will have a lightbulb moment!
    Any help is much appreciated,
    Phil

  • How to do port forwarding from wla2-g54l Buffalo bridge to mac mini

    Hi,
I am trying to get Azurus to remove the "firewall block" message and I think I have narrowed it down to port forwarding.
I have set up port forwarding from my X modem to the Airport Xpress base station. I have then set up the port forwarding from the base station to the buffalo.
The problem I have had is setting up the wla2-g54l to forward the same port to the mac mini....
any Ideas? Not much luck on the Buffalo website.. and I have RTFM. Many times!
    Cheers
    Mac Mini G4 1.2Gz   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

It sounds like your set-up is in a horrible mess with 3 levels of NAT going on.
What you should really have is the X-Modem configured in it's default mode "Modem Mode" where there will be no need to do any port forwarding as the modem is acting as a pure modem without having any influence over ports.
Then the Airport express should be configured to "Distribute IP addresses" so that the Airport is acting as a router. I presume that you use the Buffalo unit as a repeater for the AIrport so you should set-up WDS so that both are on the same network. Then your computers will all be using IP addresses in the 10.0.1.x range as issued by the Airport. You can then configure the Airport to directly forward ports to the IP address of your computer. Therefore only one instance of NAT and only one set of port forwarding rules.

  • How do you port forward on an airport express?

So I am trying to port forward because of my minecraft server. I have made the server yet i am trying to port forward. I found my IPv4 and I put it in the DCHP reservations, I also added the MAC adress. Then I went to port settings and in every port I have put 25565, I went to server.properties and checked if that was the port and it was. Then in the Private ip I put the IPv4 in. I have done all steps but My friends arent able to join it. Did I miss a step in the process?

Let's backtrack to your current network configuration. Is the AirPort Express the only router in your network? That is, is it connected directly to an Internet modem and not to another router upstream of it? Regardless, what is the make & model of that modem?
Does your ISP provide you with a dynamic or static public IP address? Is that address reachable from the Internet or do they have you connected to their private network?
Does the Minecraft server have a static or dynamic local IP address? Is it running a software firewall?

  • How to Enable Port Mapping on my AirPort Express? - Screens Connect

Hi, everyone. I recently purchased a VNC app called Screens 3 and downloaded its desktop assistant, Screens Connect. The process was pretty straightforward and I was easily able to connect my iPhone and iPad to my MacBook Air over my local Wi-Fi. However, I am still unable to connect to my MacBook over LTE or any other Wi-Fi. Here's a look at what the Screens Connect preference panel looks like:
As you can see there aren't a whole lot of options, but Port Mapping is apparently a no-go. I'm guessing this is the resaon I can't connect over anything other than my local Wi-Fi. If anyone here could help me turn that red into a green, I'd be forever grateful. Thanks!

The instructions for enabling port mapping are pretty straightforward, but it never seems to make any difference. If it helps, I am technically living in a college dorm, and have my AirPort Express plugged directy into the wall's ethernet port. I'm assuming, using bridge-mode and all, that I actually have two routers, and the university's router is the one that I need to enable port mapping on. If I'm correct, is there a way to enable port mapping on my side without having to go through my university? Again, this is just conjecture. But the steps are fairly simple, so I'm not sure what else it could be.
