How to enable PPTP VPN service in OS X Lion Server (10.7.1)

This is pretty strange what Apple has removed the interface of PPTP settingfrom it VPN service!!
I trued each and every think i knew and searched a lot over available recourseson the apple knowledge base pages. I also follow the below instructions toenable this service form terminal prompt:

but no luck at all!
Anyone can help?

go to System Preferences > Users & Groups
Login Options (underneath the list of users)
Tick "Show fast user switching menu as .."

I've configured 2 profiles:
eth0 and ppp0, where ppp0 is a pptp vpn tunnel.
$ ls /etc/network.d/

Hello,
It seems enterprise feature is not activated to your site, not CA. Please go to your site Site Settings/Site Collection Administration/Features and activate the SharePoint Server Enterprise Site Collection features.

Currently when i go to the personalization screen of my publications i get the following msg:
Unable to find servers in CMS and cluster with kind and service
. All such servers could be down or disabled by the administrator. (FWM
01014)
Kindly let me know how to enable the servers and ensure that the corresponding services are runninng?

How to enable logging for mail.app in Mountain Lion

I am at my wits end trying to figure this out....
Does anyone have a clue how to enable the logging for mail.app under Mountain Lion?
In the past, you could open up Console and click on Console.log and see the logging of mail. Under mountain Lion, there is no more console.log. I cannot figure out how to enable it.
I have tried to run the AppleScript of "Turn On Logging" but the script errors out under Mountain Lion.
Does anyone know how to do this or a better way, maybe a tool or something that can help you troubleshoot mail.app issues?

I have a similar problem. The script "Turn on Logging.scpt" runs without error, but I do not see any socket logging. I only get two messages, which I also get when I start mail without the script by just clicking the mail.app icon in the dock. The Messages are:

How to install the SAPRouter service on a Windows 2003 Server?

How to setup the FTP Service by the OS X Server? Thanks~

I want to setup a FTP Service by the "OS X Server".
When I start the FTP Service, I can't login by my account.
FTP Service and FTP Client run at the same computer,
I think it's not the network problem.
Do you have the documents about the FTP Setting or "OS X Server" User Guide?

service generally manages the lower level services on the system.
High level services such as Apache are managed via serveradmin:
serveradmin status web
serveradmin start web

How do I connect a pc to mac mini lion server?

Have recently purchased a mac mini lion server and have had no problem connecting macs in a small office. However, I can't for the life of me figure out how to connect the 2 PC's in our office...
I am not an IT person - doing this with complete ignorance!
Any help much appreciated.
PS. I have enabled SMB on server, but still can't see the server on PC networks

In any case, let me attempt to help you...
First of all, on the Lion Server machine (let's say this machine is named MyLionServer), open the Server app, click on File Sharing, and add the mount point you want to share. Let's call this mount point Drobo (just in case you have a Drobo attached to your Lion Server), but it could be any folder or disk attached to your Lion Server machine or on your local network. Edit the mount point share (highlight Drobo and click on pencil icon), and add the users (click + button and add the usernames) you wish to access the Drobo share, and how they access it (read only, read/write, etc.). Also make sure to check the "Share with Windows clients (SMB)" button. Click done and wait for the Server app to restart all of the file sharing servers.
Now for the Windows PC (I have just tested this myself on a PC running Windows XP Pro):
Click the "start" buttom, click "My Network Places". In the My Network Places panel, click on the "Add a network place" button. This brings up the "Add Network Place Wizard", highlight the "Choose another network location" and click "Next>". In the Internet or network address box, add the following: "\\MyLionServer\Drobo" (yes, I know the slashes are backwards from what you normally use in the MacOS - also, the name Windows wants may have only the first character capitalized, as in "\\Mylionserver\Drobo"), then click the "Next>" botton, then click the "Finish" button. The first time you perform this for the first share on your Lion Server, a window opens and asks for a username and password. Enter one of the usernames and passwords that you gave read/write access to in the File Sharing panel for the Drobo mount point on your Lion Server. This brings up a \\Mylionserver\Drobo window on your PC that is mounted to your Lion Server's Drobo.

P.S. As I said, I tried this out on my own PC as I was typing the instructions into this reply, and the above works for me. But I did it on Windows XP Pro on a 6 year old PC laptop, and all machines and Windows OSes are different, so it will probably require you to do something slightly different from what I described above unless you just happen to be using Windows XP also. How-to: Install Redmine on OS X 10.7 Lion Server?

Anyone had success installing redmine (redmine.org) on Lion Server? If so, how? Instructions given at redmine.org are for 10.6 and fail with installing the preference pane, which just crashes. Have a new mac mini with 10.7 server and would like to use redmine. Webserver (apache2) works fine, and installed mysql separately which also works fine.

You can't just drag a PHP file to a browser window. It's a server-side technology, so PHP web pages have to be served by a web server. Since you have OS X, you have Apache installed by default. Read this article on setting up PHP and Apache on Jaguar. That's part three of three parts, so look at the other two parts, especially part one, where he tells how to turn on the server...

How to enable Kerberos - Shared Services and Workspace

Hi All
I'm trying to enable Kerberos SPNEGO with WebSphere 6.1.0.31. I've protected the urls.....and i can see the handshake happening in the trace logs.....
Shared Services SSO is working fine if i use the option of Get Remote user info from http header.....
But workspace doesn't seem to accept any of the options given $REMOTE_USER$, $HTTP_USER$.
Can some please let me know how to do this....? Or is there a way to change the header information?
