How to enable sound and rotation on my iPad?

How to I get sound and rotation on my iPad. I had it and now I have either sound or rotation. Please help.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Re sound:
Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. Music, podcasts and video are not muted unless you turn the volume all the way down.

Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried.
1. If you've recently plugged anything into the audio-out (headphone) port, plug and unplug it a couple of times.
2. From the menu bar, select
 ▹ System Preferences ▹ Sound ▹ Output
Check the settings. The internal speakers should be selected as the output device, the Mute box should not be checked, and the volume slider should be at least halfway to the right.
3. Look inside the headphone port. If a red light is coming from the port, the internal switch is stuck in the position for digital output. You may be able to free it by inserting and removing a headphone mini-stereo jack of the proper size.Inserting any kind of tool in the port may cause damage that won't be covered by your warranty.
4. Boot in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime. It will take much longer than usual. You don't have to log in; just reboot as usual (without holding any keys) when the login screen appears. (Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode.)
5. Reset the NVRAM.
6. Reset the SMC.
7. Reinstall OS X after backing up all data as a precaution. You won't need your backup unless something goes wrong.
8. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to bare metal from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.
*An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.

Hello all, I have just started using labview and would like to run the "SVXMPL_Third Octave Analysis for Multiprocesor" example as an example for multithread programming, but I run into the issue that the "Sound and Vibration" toolkit is required before running the example. I have installed the labview 8.5. I have gone through the posed link and gone through the list of products installed in my machine (ControlPanel>Add and Remove Programs> National Instruments Software), but I couldn't find the "sound and vibration toolkit". I have tried to run the installation setup in order to add the toolkit. it looks like I have already installed all the available software. I don't know how I should install the toolkit. I appreciate on any comments on how to install the toolkit. I appreciate if you can help me on how to install "sound and vibration toolkit" in my machine.

How to enable CMSS in Creative MediaSource for Sound Blaster Audigy LS series
Go Start, All Programs, Creative, Creative MediaSource, and click on the Creative MediaSource Player or the Creative MediaSource Organizer.
Click on the EAX button to enable EAX. The button should now be highlighted in green.
Next, click on the little buttons next to the EAX button, which will bring up the Creative EAX Console.
In the EAX Console, check the CMSS 3D tab, then check the box next to Enable CMSS 3D.
Select ether CMSS or Stereo Surround and close the EAX Console.
You can also open the EAX Console by clicking Start, All Programs, Creative Audigy LS, EAX Console.
How to turn CMSS on and off with the Sound Blaster Extigy?
Using Remote Center: Press the CMSS button to toggle on and off. Ensure that speaker settings are set to 4., 5. or Auto.
Using Play Center: In the Play Center mini-view, expand the right hand panel and click on CMSS. Choose On or Off. Ensure that speaker settings are at 4., 5. or Auto.

If you are listening to stereo content like MP3's or CD's and you would like the sound to be played over your surround sound speaker system, you can enable CMSS 3D on your X-Fi card. If you are playing computer games, the X-Fi's Virtual 3D via CMSS gives a highly realistic surround sound over headphones.
It is important to remember that if you do wish to play a 5. encoded file like Dolby or DTS soundtracks, you will need to turn CMSS off. Otherwise you might not receive each discreet channel.
Please select the mode: (More information about changing the Mode).
Entertainment mode
In Entertainment mode, select the 3D button.

How to reset Sound and Vibration Spectral map

Hi,
I want to create a Campbell diagram for a rotating machine, in live (while the machine is rotating).
This diagram is basically a graph of the spectral content a a signal (Hz), versus the rotation speed (RPM).
I've found an express VI that seems to do what i want to do (Spectral Map, in the Sound and Vibration toolkit). The output of this VI is buffered so that it can run in live (The buffer vi is also a vi that comes from the Sound and Vibration toolkit).
The block diagram of my complete process is attached to this message, sorry it's a bit messy.
On the first run, this VI works as expected: as the machine is running up, the graph is filling up. Now if I want to make a second run-up, i need to first reset the VI. However once the vi has been reset, it won't ouput anydata!
I've tried different combination:
- Reset "Waterfall and Campbell.vi" and the buffer
- Reset only the buffer
- Reset only the "Waterfall and Campbell.vi"
None of them work, the colormap stays black.
So does anyone know how to use this express vi? I could find an exemple that works with live data and buffering.

Attached to this post, you'll find a piece of code that replicates the problem I have in my main application.
If you run the vi with an initial small frequency (the frequency dial up simulates the rotation speed) and then increase that speed, you'll notice that the spectral map gets filled as expected.
The problem arises when I try to reset the spectral map (=do a new run-up):
- I set the frequency to a minimum
- I hit the reset button (the spectral map is emptied as expected)
- I slowly increase the frequency ===> the spectral map does NOT get filled up anymore. Or it gets filled up like 30 seconds after the run up or gets partially filled up.... in summary there is something wrong with the map each time I try to reset the septral map vi.

I have tried over and over and over and I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME figure out how to configure Firefox to allow me to copy and paste. I've downloaded EVER SINGLE EXTENSION YOU HAVE and some I found online!!!! HOW DO I COPY AND PASTE??? And please don't be a smart aleck and tell me to right click..I tried that. I've tried everything it's not working...

If right-clicking doesn't work, it could indicate that the site is intercepting and blocking Firefox's regular context menu. Some sites are cheeky and show you a copyright notice when you right-click.
You can change a setting so that you always get Firefox's right-click context menu. If the site has its own menu, Firefox's will appear in front of it. To access the site's menu after making this change, you have to carefully dismiss Firefox's menu with a single press of the Esc key. (I think I've only seen one site where ''both'' menus disappear when I press Esc, so it nearly always works.)
Want to try it?
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''context''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the '''dom.event.contextmenu.enabled''' preference to switch it from true (sites can detect and re-place the right-click menu) to false (they can't).

How to undo cropped and rotated RAW images in ACR

Can someone advise on returning to the original RAW image after the image has been edited in ACR.
"Reset Camera Raw Defaults" seems to do everything but undo crops and image rotation.
How do I undo these and/or return to the original unedited image?

Thanks but how exactly do I find the unedited CR2 within PSE/ACR?
Everytime I open the file in PSE or ACR the edited version comes up and the most original version I can return to is to reset the Defaults. However, this does not reverse crops and rotations
I have noticed that the original CR2 file is viewable within MS Explorer but I'm reluctant to delete the .xmp as I don't want to loose keywords etc associated with the image.

How to get sound and notifications to work on iPod Touch 4th Generation. Version 6.1.2

I would like to know how I can get the sound and notification on the screen when I'm using Facebook. When I go to settings and scroll down to Facebook, open the notifications under the logo, then go to notifications and open that I get this message that says, "Notification settings, including push notification settings, are locted inside the app. Open your bookmarks and tap Account Settings." Now I tried that and it didn't get me anywhere, unless I didn't go to the right thing, so if someone can help me figure this out asap, that would be very greatly appreciated.

On your iPod tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - that should give you a payments link on your account's page.
Or you can do it on your computer's iTunes by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should also be a payment link.

UE-V 2.1 - How to Enable WaitForSyncOnApplicationStart and WaitForSyncOnLogon during install

Good day everyone,
I can't seem to figure out how to enable the WaitForSyncOnApplicationStart and WaitForSyncOnLogon parameter during install. I tried to add WaitForSyncOnApplicationStart=true to my install command but it doesn't seem to work. There must be a way
to set those parameter automatically during install. Anybody has any idea? I am deploying it using the x64 .msi version.

Anybody has an idea? Maybe someone from microsoft? While I apreciate suggestion that were made, using external mean to set those parameter is not really what I call a solution but more of a work around. On top of this, I downloaded the ADMX GPO template
for UE-V 2.1 and those 2 settings are not even part of it.
