How to enable standard actions and print preview in Output management in FU and FO in SAP TM9.1

Hello Experts,
This is regarding the Output management on Truck load scenario.
I have maintained configuration which is related to output management in Freight order type (truck load).
Configuration is :
Output profile : " /SCMTMS/TOR" and
Add. Output Profile “ /SCMTMS/TOR_PRINT_ROAD”.
Results: I have created a Freight order based on the FU ( Sales order ) , go to output management tab in FO, I can see only one Action status that is “Shipping Instruction” .
Expectations: I am expecting couple of other FORMs like HBL and label and etc which is available in “/SCMTMS/TOR_PRINT_ROAD”.

Also, When I am executing “List of Actions” by manually I can see all of above actions in popup screen but by default “scheduled condition” check box is checked on “Shipping Instruction” not rest of them.

Dear Surender,
For PPF customizing you can follow SPRO path -> Cross application components ->Processes and Tools for Enterprise Applications->Reusable Objects and Functions for BOPF Environment ->PPF Adapter for Output Management->Maintain PPF Settings -> Select the application '/SCMTMS/TRANSPORTATION' -> Define action profiles and Actions.
Select the required action profile (Here in your case /SCMTMS/TOR or /SCMTMS/TOR_PRINT_ROAD)-> select the required action definitions -> Make sure 'Inactive' checkbox is deselected against the required action -> Choose processing types -> Here you can assign a new form. You can also create new action definitions and assign forms accordingly.
Then go back and go to 'Condition configuration' ->Choose the required action profile -> Check the Start condition and schedule condition. Make sure you have 'Schedule automatically' radio button selected under overview tab.
Print preview is also called as Document preview. To my knowledge this tab should be displayed default with standard under Output Management tab. Document preview will appear upon selecting the action in Output management tab. If not appearing just check the WD component customizing or personalization.

Font for Print out and Print Preview

Hi all,
I am working in SAP R/3 4.6C and using SmartForm.I have a trouble :
I uploaded Arial Font into System Font and Printer Font and i want to use this font for print out and print preview.But this font is only applied for print out and the print preview uses still Courier Font not Arial as I want.
So, anybody tell me why and give some idea to solve this problem.

There is no arial font option in 4.6..but it 4.6 scriptforms arial option is there,but it will not work..it will give some other font...
Mainly 4.6 version does not support ARAIL font..
4.6 does not support all the fonts which are avilable in MS-WORD..only few fonts are uploaded into SAP 4.6 syatem...this is the problem

About mismatch in print layout in direct print and print preview and pdf!

Hi ,
I have created one smartforms,when I run the standard trasaction VF03 and select any output type and then when I click on print preview button,and then when I put PDF! in address bar ,the print preview will convert in PDF format,it will show output without bold and comes only in normal fonts.
Also, when I run transaction VF03 and direct click Print button, then it shows print as per requirement , but it overwrites some part on the end of page where company address is priprinted on stationary,so how can i show print format same in both condition without overwriting?

HI friend,
The one which is coming in the print (hard copy) is the correct one.
Print preview may be different.
So if the print is coming in overlapping format means check whether the windows are aligned properly. Because if you have given any data in main window and when it grows it over laps on another window.
If that's is correct check the printer settings for it. Only these would cause the print to be distorted.
Check this and revert back if you have any issues we will help you.

JasperReports - how to save as PDF from Print Preview page?

How can I save reports created with JasperReperts (with iReport tool) as PDF?
On print preview, when I select it is as PDF, and click on "save", nothing is saved. Also, I get NoClassDefFoundError despite I included all nessesry classes (did I?). Here are list of included classes

I was missing iText.jar.
So, you need only this code to get report preview and feature to export to pdf, html and other formats:

Generate and Print Preview Multiple Forms in a Single PDF

There have been other questions similar to this but none directly address my problem. We have the need to generate multple forms in a .pdf using Adobe interactive forms. We can generate the multiple forms, but the user has to click on each form to view. They want to have the forms in a single document that they can scroll through before printing. We can do this in SmartForms but need to do it in Adobe. Does anyone know how to generate multiple forms, either multiple copies of the same form or various forms, from an ABAP program into a single pdf that can be print previewed, in scrollable form, by the user?

I can describe it one more time, I think:))
You have multiple options, but only one "reasonable" within SAP.
You can call an external application (through command line etc.) to concatenate forms for you.
You can use iText as mentioned in the thread, and write yourself a "tool" which will concatenate the forms for you.
Both these "options" would not be acceptable for my clients, I name them to help you get the whole picture.
Then there is the third option: use a form for a single instance (template/ form A) and create a new form (form B), where you will use the A template:
- you need to: create a new interface where everything from the old interface is a row of the table (example: you have a form to print out the personal card of the employee, so in a new form you will need to use a table, where a row is an employee)
- you need to create a new form layout based on the new interface:
in this new layout you will paste the whole layout of the old form (A/ single instance) and wrap it into a subform. The added subform will work as a table (you will bind that to the table from interface) and everything from the old template within this new subform will work as a "row" (something what you can repeat for each data item).
Does that sound reasonable?

Delivery Form with batch numbers and Print Preview

When I open Sales->Delivery form and select one that has items with batches, and then press Print Preview, TWO previews are automatically opened. One regular which I created using Layout designer and set as Standard, and the other called "Batches List"
Customer doesn't want the "Batches List" to use, since batches are already covered in the regular layout. Is there any way to disable it, so that only the regular preview is opened, and then printed? I'm using SAP BO 2007 A.

You should change the 'When Batch/Serial No. Exists, Print' setting to 'Document Only' in Print Preferences for Delivery.
(Under menu :Administration / System Initialization / Print Preferences /Per document.)

How to activate "Send mail" from print preview in ME23N

In ME23N there is a "print preview"-button that shows a preview of the PO. In the preview-windows there is a Text-menu with a "Send mail"-command, but that command is not active. How can I activate this command so that it is possible to send the PO to an email-recepient?
I have configured the smtp-functionality (SCOT++) and sending PO's as email to suppliers in ME9F works fine by choosing "Send external". But still the Send mail-option is inactive in preview-mode. Any tips?

VC6 CEditView and Print Preview Questions

I've got 2 questions that I would greatly appreciate some help on, as it
relates to a MDI app that I wrote using VC6.
1. I've got an edit view in the app which displays a report, and I've added
the option of letting the user select which font to display the report in.
Unfortunately, the print preview does not reflect any of the font changes,
not even if I hard code a font change in initially, the font
remains the same in Print Preview. I'm using SetFont to set the font. I'm
calling CEditView:nPrintPreview to generate the print preview. Any ideas
how to fix this?
2. I'm trying to add a header and a footer to each page of the report. Is
there any way to retrieve the information from the edit view in terms of the
pages, or
is there another way to accomplish the headers and footers easily?

Updation of table after Print and Print-Preview in smartform

Hi,
I am having a requirement where i need to print multiple deliveries with the sales order data each delivery on a new page using smartform.
Now , i am using SSF_OPEN, SSF_CLOSE Fm's for the same. I need to update a Z table after the user clicks on PRINT from the pop-up or print from the print preview screen.
I tried using the output_info parameter in the smartform where i read from a post that the OUTPUTDONE parameter becomes "X" in the job_output_info when the user clicks print wither in the two ways said before.
This does not work out in case if the FM'S SSF_OPEN and SSF_CLOSE are used.
Kindly help me on the same.

yes i tried that..using the AT new event for a Delivery and then a command to go to the NEW PAGE, but somehow when i execuet the form, i could not see the layout..so in the debug i saw the subrc after the FM is run..it says SUBRC = 2 i.e. internal error. I am not able to figure that out.
So i had to use these open and close, nowi just want to update a z table if the user clicks on the print button (print preview screen) after using the print preview .

I am trying to make a spreadsheet, and have inserted numerous check boxes. On the screen itself, look great - but when I print preview it is like the text moves and the check boxes are in the middle of the words.
I am using Excel 2013 - I tried to insert pictures but it would but it would not let me.
Any assistance would be awesome - thanks.

Hi,
Do you have the long text in one cell and use the wrap feature? If it is, we can use Alt + enter to wrap in the cell in stand of using wrap feature.
The print preview should looks similar with original document.

On the other hand, the issue also may be caused by the printer, we can export the Excel file to PDF/XPS file and then print it to test.

Color Discrepency between Develop image and Print Preview

Is there any way to alter the color image in the Develop module so that it matches the color of the image in the print preview screen? The colors in the final printed image match those of the ones displayed in the print preview screen and are nothing like the colors I am adjusting in the Develop module. Thanks for the input.

The web preview on windows machines should not match anything indeed. Internet explorer is not color managed at all (shame on you MS). If the web preview matches your print, but the develop screen doesn't it means that you have miscalibrated your screen. Your screen is probably very close to sRGB as many are and you could probably get away with just using sRGB as the screen profile (not recommended for real color management BTW). Anyways, we have seen gobs and gobs of windows color management issues come by here that turned out to be corrupt monitor profiles. As a test, try clearing the profile that you have selected in the monitor's properties dialog (and thereby selecting the default sRGB) and restarting LR. If you still see a difference between the different modules, the monitor profile was corrupt and you should recalibrate.

ME23n and Print Preview

HI experts,
I am actually abaper but also look into some MM issues.
I am really sorry if i have posted in a wrong forum.
Well i can view the PO print preview in ME22N but if print preview in ME23N it is giving a message
'No message found'.
Recently the MM functional consultant have configured a new PO type.
So i have done the changes to the smartforms but i m sure that will not give effet to the me23n.
ME23n is working fine for all other PO type but it is not only working for the new PO type.
Please guide me.

For the automatic determination of message type we have to maintain in the T code MN04-automatic determination of the message type.
SO in this tcode for the Smart form you have developed ,they should have been a link done to a message type in NACE T.code.
so take that output message type and go to MN04 and maintain for the new PO document type,so that it automatically trigger the same.
For Time beign.only for that PO if you want to get ,then just in the ME22N,Click on the Button Messages
there in add the ourput message type ,Partner function(VN) and the Out put type (print,email ..) and the other option..whether you want it immediately after saving (4) or transaction based then it should be (3)
so the above options,you would get the print preview.

Problem with window.close() and print preview in IE

Hi all,
In IE, when window.close() or self.close() is executed, the window is closing perfectly. But when after opening a print preview window from file menu in IE and after closing the print preview with [X] button, then the window.close() is not working. Is there any solution to close the window even after closing the print preview window? here is the sample code.
