How to enable subtitle in iTunes?

iTunes 10.5.3(Lion 10.7.2) 64bit, to play .m4v files which I used HandBrake to convert from my own DVD. I can get my selection for audio and subtitle works fine in VLC and XBMC. But I failed in iTunes.
BTW, I have already enabled iTunes->Preferences->Playback->Subtitle language.
Any hint for this topic? Thanks in advance.

Or maybe I should ask which kind of subtitles are supported by iTunes?

I'm following a curse about IOS Development in Itunes U and I was watching in my Apple TV with subtitles. I synced the other Lecture to my iPad and there is no subtitle available.
I could not find a setup to enable that on Itunes U. Does anybody know how to do that?

Yes I know and i tried that, but it doesnt appear any subtitles option. not even the closed captioning works.
I have enabled closed captioning in the settings menu, and put everything to english, so that at least the subtitles are available, but my problem is that i just cant seem to make the subtitles or closed captioning appear on screen.

If I watch videos in iTunes or set "Media Kind" to "TV Show" and watch them in "Videos" app on iPad subtitles are available.
But with "Media Kind" set to "iTunes U" when videos are uploaded to iTunes U app on iPad, there I see no button to turn subtitles on.

How do I get non-iTunes content to stream to AppleTV via airplay?

I have recently upgraded to Mountain Lion and I want to use the airplay feature to stream web content to my AppleTV. I saw how to enable airplay in iTunes and did that. The icon was there and my AppleTV showed up in the list when I clicked it. It is my understanding that I need to have a recent version of hardware to make use of airplay. I have a Macbook Air, late 2010 version.
My AppleTV is on. I can stream to it with an iPad, so it is functioning. When I select content in iTunes, nothing happens. The video window appears and starts playing and... nothing. Ultimately I want to be able to stream from other apps like Safari. Any ideas?

It's possible that you've tried the password too many times and you're locked out.
Restore, if iTunes will let you. Everything except the password will be restored. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. Be forewarned that it takes a long time. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

Depending on why it's been disabled you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
Or you might need to contact Apple : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
If it then works on your computer's iTunes but not your phone then try logging out of your account on the phone by tapping on the id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it

Hello Abdelaal. I have the solution for you!
In App Store, there is an App called "iSubtitle" it can merge .mp4 and .m4v files with .srt files! Hereby you can use subtitles in iTunes!

You must enable iTunes Match on the new computer.
