How to enable the search option for a column in an old report

Hi ,
I created the report. It works fine. I remember while creating the report, at one step, I was asked to sort, search column level (check option) . I skipped that option at that time. But now I want to check/ enable them . So, how and where to do that ?

I think easiest way is re-create your report , so wizard do things for you.
Other vise you need create "search bar" region and items manually and edit report where clause.
You can first set your old report condition to never and create new report with same select.
When you are sure that new report working ok, you delete old report.

I can also do this from Acrobat Pro. Click Comments - Enable for Commentingand Analysis in Adobe Reader. This can not be done through the DSK or JavaScript.

I am not sure if I understood the question,but if you meant how to attach a search help to parameter for which a default search help is not available,you can do that by using addition "Matchcode Object"
Parameter: a type i matchcode object 'Search Help Name'
Search Help name should be in single quotes.

Holy crap, this fixes the issue. At least temporarily it has. I should add that my issue was single finger forward/back swipe stopped working on the magic mouse in Firefox since Mavericks came along. I have been fighting this since I upgraded to Mavericks a few months ago. Thank you, tbirdvet. You have no idea how much easier you just made using my iMac again.

you have to use the event:
AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON <FIELD> EVENT.
u have to give an error message in this event.
Consider the following Example:
PARAMETERS : NUMBER TYPE I.
AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON NUMBER.
IF NUMBER = 10.
MESSAGE 'Number vakue is 10' TYPE 'E'.
ENDIF.
START-OF-SELECTION.
WRITE NUMBER.

in this if u give the value of number = 10, it will not proceed further, if u give some other value other than 10 you will proceed further...
Execute this program once u will understand....

How to get the search functionality when we are creating new view.
Ex:- if we see the standard component BT112S_SC. Under this
AdvancedSP is the view,
same kind of view if i want to create new view with same bol entity in my new component. I am unable to get that search functionality.
for search functionality,,i think view should inherit the super class CL_BTSRV_ADVS_CNTRL, but in my new view controller class, i am unable to find this class.
Can anybody give me some inputs on this.

Steps to get SELECT-OPTIONS in module pool programs.
1.Start one dialog program with SAPMZ_001.
Place the below code in the TOP include of the dialog program.
TABLES marc.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF SCREEN 3200 AS SUBSCREEN.
SELECT-OPTIONS: werks FOR marc-werks.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF SCREEN 3200.
2 .Create one screen 3000.
Go to Layout of the screen and Define subscreen area on the screen and Name it as l_subscreen.
Place the below code in the Flow logic of the screen.
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
CALL SUBSCREEN l_subscreen INCLUDING 'SAPMZ_001' '3200'.
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
CALL SUBSCREEN l_subscreen.
Activate all.
Create Transaction code for the dialog program .
Execute the transaction code. You will see the select-option for werks how we see on Selection-screen.

How to Implement the Search page for Workflow Notifications?

I want to implement the new Search page for Workflow Notifications. Search page containing Company, Paygroup, Source, Initiator, Supplier Name, From date & To date fields. These fields(Poplist & Calendar) are getting the values from different tables and these fields are not in WF_NOTIFICATIONS table only Initiator & dates are there. After selecting the values in all fields or one field based upon these values I want to display the all Workflow Notifications ( Those are satisfy the search criteria only not all ) in Advance Worklist Table RN in the Notifications page. Is it possible to create the Search page based upon the above scenario if Yes Let me know how to implement this search page for Workflow. Page was designed but how to get the sortlisted Notifications and how to pass these values to next page?

I crete the Search page having 5 poplists and select the values from dropdown list and click GO button it serch the records and displays that records in ResultsTable in same page.
My case, Search page is running fine if I select the values and click GO button page is refreshed without errors but I am unable to displays the records in ResultsTable.

How to disable the Search option in UWL header?

I am trying to removed the search option in the standard UWL iView by setting the "Allow Search" property of the standard iView to "No". However this doesn't remove the search option in the UWL header. Is this right property to configure? If anybody has already been sucessful, please share the information.

How to get the F4 help for table columns ..

Dear All,
Here I have created table with cell editors of INPUT FIELD .
And I would like to provide the f4 help for those columns .
Here I have checked the node , which i have binded to the table, there input help mode is set to Automatic and search helps are also attached for that node .
But in the table I am not getting the F4 help . Where as if i create the input fields invidually i am able to see the F4 help .
But for table column I am unable to find..

In debugging , the I have seen the node info attributes list ( VALUE_HELP_ID and VALUE_HELP_MODE ) .
For you understanding, Here I am giving the values which contains ,
VALUE_HELP_ID contains the AUTO:VBUK

and
VALUE_HELP_MODE contains the all Zeros for all the four attributes .

HOW TO CREATE THE SEARCH OPTION ON THE DASHBOARD

Hello developers,
So, I am supposed to come with a credit card sales report that will enable the end user to search for the last 4 digits and be able to see where the sale was made, (location); transaction #; dollar amount, payment location, store #, and purchase details..
The tables seems obvious, I am just not quite sure about the search part. . How do I go about put the option of letting end-users be able to search for the last # digits and then see everything else. I am brand new into OBIEE

I would suggest use this column as char type and in the prompt
use Operator as 'ends with' and then Control as 'Edit Box'. In the report make this column as Is Prompted.
Using the column as number type I dont see any way to do it. Just give a try.
