The HP Officejet 8600 is an AirPrint enabled printer, there is no such 8600A model as listed above.
Try updating the printer firmware and check for any change:

If the same persists it might happen due to lack of Bonjour compatibility or wrong configuration of your router.
Try bypassing the router using the HP Wireless Direct option:
Click the Network / Wireless Icon on the printer front panel and then tap on Settings.
Click on Wireless Direct and select On (No Security).
From your iPad go to Settings > Wi-Fi and connect to the printer's network, it should include either 8600 or n911.
Try printing and check for any change, if that works be sure to clarify your router brand and model to better understand if it support Bonjour and how that kind of support can be enable.

HP Office Jet J6480 All In One - will not scan with Mac OS 10.8 .3

I have been unable to get my HP Office Jet J6480 All In One to scan after upgrading to 10.8.3.I have followed other posts and have installed the most up to date driver (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907) but each time i try to scan from the HP device manager or the photosmart studio, it says "Sorry, scanner could not be intialized. (scanner not found)" I have tried making sure there are no other updates by clicking on settings in the device manager and clicking check for updates but it tells me "server not availalbe - the software service is currently not available. please try again later" and i have gotten this error for the last week.
I followed the second set of instructions found here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Mac-Printing-and-Scanning/HP-Software-Update-Server-Unavailable/td-p/18... to try to resolve that issue and have installed the software found at the link. I rebooted my computer and am still having the same problem.
Note: My printer is wireless and i have not hooked it up via a cord. Will that make a difference?
My printer seems to be printing fine.

Try scanning from your Mac. Use Image Capture app in your Applications folder.
Click once on the scanner on the left side, then click on Show Details along the bottom. Along the right side you will see LOTS of options for scanning and saving.

Looking at how to determine the "Total" Page Count on HP 2575 All-in-one printer? I've seen directions for other HP printers but can't seem to find any for the HP 2575 All-in-one printer. I am trying to find approximately how many pages my printer has printed since I've owned it. Any help is much appreciated.

The manual says you should be able to use the Embedded Web Server to view statistics.

WIA is Windows Image Acquisition, it is a proprietary Microsoft driver model and application programming interface (API) for Microsoft Windows Me and later Windows operating systems that enables graphics software to communicate with imaging hardware such as scanners, digital cameras and Digital Video-equipment. - Source
Please follow the instructions below.
Please hold down the windows flag key and the R to open the Run box.
Type services.msc and press Enter
Locate Windows Image Acquisition (WIA)
Right click and open Properties
Stop the service from the General tab and then Start it again
Verify that the Startup type is set to Automatic rather then manual
Also, look for 'Shell Hardware Detection' in the list of services. If it is not enabled/started, make sure to enable/start the service, and make sure the Startup Type set as Automatically from its properties.
Locate the 'Remote Procedure Call (RPC)' in the list of services. If it is not enabled/started, make sure to enable/start the service, and make sure the Startup Type set as Automatically as well.
If the issue persist, the HP Print and Scan Dr might help, otherwise I suggest contacting Microsoft.

You can't iSync your iPad to your printer, full stop. If you wish to print from your iPad you need to connect them (iPad and printer) on a SAME network. And because your printer is not on the following list:

HP Office Pro L7480 All in One Printer only prints half test page then stops - Windows 8.1

wonder if anyone can help with this one
Just replaced an old pc with a new Windows 8.1 Machine
I have 2 printers - An A3 HP printer and the Office Pro L7480
My A3 printer prints fine but the Office Pro starts to print a test page....gets half way down the DLL listing then ends and pushes the page out then prints another page with a line of garbage then pushes the page out then the printer stops responding and I have to turn on and off to try and print again with the same result.
Printer is connected via USB
I have tried different USB ports
Uninstalled the printer driver and resintalled
Tried both 32 and 64 bit versions
My Windows install is WIndows 8.1 64 bit
If I use the same usb cable as my A3 printer the issue remains
If I switch back to my old windows vista machine the printer works fine
I'm convinced that the printer driver is the issue with windows 8.1 as other printers work fine and the problem printer works fine on windows vista and my windows 7 laptop
The drivers I installed are from the HP drivers download and the printer is on the compatability list for windows 8.1
Any advice would be appreciated

Let's first run the Print and Scan Doctor to see if it can identify and/or resolve the issue for us; Click here to download and run the Print and Scan Doctor> www.hp.com/go/tools.
If the issue persists, try the following Microsoft Hotfix; A wireless, high-quality print job to a WSD port is automatically canceled on a Windows 8.1 computer.

Office Jet 8600 All-in-one TWAIN problem

I have read through this forum and none of the suggestions have helped. I have uninstalled the printer and re-installed it. I have tried to re-install the software, no luck. I can't figure out how to un-intall the HP software on win 8.
I have windows 8 and can't scan to make a bank deposit. I believe the problem is TWAIN.
I can't figure it out.

This is an issue usually if you're running Windows. Download the HP Print and Scan and Doctor and run it in your computer system. Click the link here. If uninstalling and reinstalling the software won't work, call Windows 'cause its a Windows thing.

What ate the best Cartridges for printing Photos in a office jet 5610 all in one?

I have a Officejet 5610 all in one and I am having trouble printing photos. I am using the Tricolor Cartridge and the Photo cartridge with new HP paper and the photos look terrible. What am I doing wrong?

Please provide some details of the problem - do you see banding, improper colors or ??? What program are you printing from? What operating system?
I would start by checking the print settings. Select "Best" for the print quality and select the proper photo paper type.

Office Jet 8600 All in One

My printer was working fine wirelessly when I noticed it flashing and a message to turn off and back on, which I did. All I get it what looks like a timer button on the display with a code. I have tried to reset several times and sometimes the code changes but that is all. Present code is B87FFDB8. I have tried to run troubleshooting but to no avail. The printer is set up to work with my desktop and laptop and air print but nothing works. Please help!

I have the same problem, and have spent AGES, trying to get it sorted. Believe it or not, the first solution I was given was to check that the powersupply was working!! When I replied, saying I had done all I was told to do, and it didnt work, I got a phonecall, basically asking was I using 950 ink, or 951!! Anyone knowing anything about the 8600 will know that one is the coloured and the other is the black ink. Anyway, I was told I was going to receive an email, and that the ink wasnt coverd in the replacement!!! SO they sent another printer!!! (thought it was a new one, but when I got the software to check the warrenty, apperently this ran out on 01/04, despite only getting the printer on 30.08.13 and having 3 years warrenty!!) But this printer has the same problem as the old one (which actually was a replacement for a different problem....which this new one has too!!) Anyway, I am none the wise, and because it claims to be out of date, I cannot find a phone number to contact HP! Can you help? I live in West Cork, in Ireland.
