How to enter forecast in planning book

My Forecast fig. are not editable, please let me know, how to enter forecast (Any short transaction or program) in planning book !

As DP creates statistical forecast which get enters in the FCST key figure, I think by standard it will not available for change. I will prefer to create another key figures like adjustment future and with the help this key figure and small macro you can change your statistical forecast and get corrected statistical FCST in another key figure.
With this approach you are always able to see wht was the FCST generated by system per CVC.

Function Module BAPI_PBSRVAPS_GETDETAIL2 or BAPI_PBSRVAPS_GETDETAIL can help you.
For BAPI BAPI_PBSRVAPS_GETDETAIL, the parameters are:
1) PLANNINGBOOK - the name of your planning book
2) DATA_VIEW - name of your data view
3) KEY_FIGURE_SELECTION - list of key figures you want to read
4) SELECTION - selection parameters which describe the attributes of the data you want to read (e.g. the category or brand). This is basically a list of characteristics and characteristic values.
BAPI_PBSRVAPS_GETDETAIL2 is very similar to BAPI_PBSRVAPS_GETDETAI but is only available from SCM 4.1 onwards.
For the complete list of parameters, you can go to transaction SE37, enter the function module names above and check out the documentation.

How Cost is displayed in planning book

Sources 4001,4002 and destinations 3001,3002,3003 & 3004,After SNP optimizer run,the following results are displayed
4001 to 3001 -------900MT is sourced from 4001 to 3001
4001 to 3003--------1000MT is sources from 4001 to 3003
How cost per MT is displayed along with quantities in the planning book after optimizer run

After optimizer run the following allocation qty is displayed
4001 to 3001 -------900MT is sourced from 4001 to 3001
4001 to 3003--------1000MT is sources from 4001 to 3003
after optimizer run customer want Qty(900MT) & Cost per MT to be displayed for sourcing from 4001 to 3001(Refer above scenario)
as you said if its not possible after optimizer run is it possible to develop a customized report based on optimizer results displaying Qty(900MT) & cost incurred per MT
Cost per MT(For sourcing from Qty(900MT) from 4001 to 3001)=procurement cost per MT+transportation cost per MT

Forecast in SNP planning book

Hi,
I have released the forecast from DP to SNP. when i check that forecast in SNP planning book, i am not able to see any forecast in SNP planningbook. I have tried other Time bucket profile id but still i cant see forecast in planning book.
if anyone can give advice on this?

Hi Jignesh,
You have to edit the category group associated with the keyfigure you are looking at.
The Tcode for the same is MSDP_admin. where you have to select the planning area and the key figures and have to check the categories added to the category group associated. the categories can be checked in the SPRO,

Can macros be executed everytime a planning book is opened?

Hi experts,
I am new to APO,can anyone let me know if it is possible to execute the macros by default evrytime the Planning book is opened. In my case i get junk data when i open the planning book for the first time and the values get computed only when i change some cell and hit Enter .
Kindly help me with this problem

Holidays in Planning books

Hi,
In our Demand Planning scenario, our horizon is for one month with daily buckets. Sales person gives demand on daily basis.
Grateful, if somebody suggest me on how to make planning book columns display only for holidays (sales person will not be able to enter demand in planning book on holidays).

not sure if you want this in a DP or SNP book... and i assume you have a daily bucket in your planning book/data view
you can use calendars in a location in SNP and in DP you need to set up a factory calendar in the time stream id for the storage bucket profile. this factory calendar will have the Holiday calendar in it
after this you can use one of the two macros to determine the work days in the bucket. you apply this to your daily bucket and save the value (say, WDAY) returned for work days = 0 or 1
BUCKET_WDAYS( <calendar> ; X1 ; ... ; Xn) returns the number of workdays in the periods given by the cell(s), row(s), and/or column(s) (not areas) X1 through Xn. In the attributes of the argument elements, you must specify Period data as the data source. The specification of a calendar as the first argument is optional. If you do not specify a calendar, the system reads the calendar given by the time stream in the storage buckets profile. If no time stream is defined, the system uses calendar days
CALENDAR_WDAYS( calendar ; from date ; <to date> ) returns the number of workdays between the from-date and the to-date in the calendar specified. The calendar is the timestream ID.

Hide row in planning book using BADI /SAPAPO/ADVX USER_EXIT_MACRO

Dear All,
   I would like to have your suggestion how to hide row in planning book using BADI USER_EXIT_MACRO
   the requirement is when I drill down the object by region, the first line will be "total" and the second and third line
   will be region like "north" and "south".
   I want to show only "total" line and hide region detail.
   Would it be possible to do this using the badi USER_EXIT_MACRO?

Hi,
In the Interactive Planning, you see a Cap-like icon on the top-left...... click on it and choose the characteristic (say, region) and say ok. You will then be able to see the Region just on top of the planning table. When you load the data, by default, it will have "Total" as option, and with your wish, you can choose to see the data for a particular region (North, South etc).

Now we want publish an APO Planning book on this.
a) can you confirm to me if this is possible?
b) any Planning Book can be publish to web, or must be one designer for this purpose?
c) how can I see the Planning books available to be published?

Delete Planning Book

Hi All,
I created planning area and planning books for testing. Since they were not required anymore I decided to delete all. I assumed that when I delete planning area it deletes planning book as well. but that did not happen. Now planning area is deleted but i still see planning book in interactive planning.
Please let me know how do I delete this planning book since when try using standard planning book T code to delete it give me error message " planning area does not exists"

@ Aparna: When you delete planning area system deletes all dependent objects like planning book/data view.
In my case when I deleted planning area, system did not delete planning books because planning book/data view was locked by status "change by author only".
@ Rajesh: Awarding full points for hint. I could have delete the record completely but I took different rout be changing user name in table entry for respective planning book and then I deleted planning book from standard planning book transaction.

How to manually enter forcast/demand in SNP Planning Book

Hi experts,
Kindly help me there are two questions on my mind. First
1. How to create manually forecast in SNP planning book? and also in RRP3? (if the product is in house it automatically creates planned order, if externally procured PREQ but how about forecast using product view?
2. If the forecast is in the past but I want to upload that in the SNP Planning book?
Even if I change the period structure date it does not reflect the past dates in the planning book. Since the planning book of SNP is standard how am I be able to change the planning book time bucket start date.

in /SAPAPO/SJKTST04 you set the type of order FCST, then you planning area and version, keyfigure to populate (your forecast keyfigure, probably 9ADFCST), the order type (usually FA)
In the details you set product, date to start, in horizon - the number of orders to create, if you set 10, you'll get 10 orders starting from your start date).
Unfortunately through here, you gan create orders with fixed quantity only and also for only one product/location combination.
If you already have DP available, even for testing I find it more easy to release forecast from there.
For your second question - at least for 4.1 (I don't have a 5.0 system to check) you cannot have past dates in a column other than "Initial"

How can I see the MAD results in my planning book

Hello Gurus:
I'm setting up some statistical models in APO DP and running some test data through them. How can I see the results of the MAD to verify if the models are calculating correctly? I was hoping I can see the monthly MAD values in a key figure in my planning book?
Does anyone know?

Hello Andrea,
As far as I know, I don't think there's a standard key figure or macro could acheive this.
MAD or other errors in forecast are not saved as time series, so I don't know why you want to see them as time series.
You can see the forecast errors in forecast result screen, and if you push comparision button, you can see forecast errors for several last runs.
But I don't know how to put these value into planning book, unless you want to apply your own logic ...

Hi,
You would be able to tackle this partially by adding a new hidden key figure.
Refer the example below;
Kfig1. Stat forecast: Calculated using stat forecasting
Kfig2. Adjusted forecast: user normally changes this
Kfig3. Hidden copy of Adjusted forecast:
Using macros copy 1st snap shot of stat forecast to Adjusted and Hidden. once adjustments are done, use Macro to compare Adjustments and Hidden copy of original values, or this can be a overnight batch job to generate alerts

For requirement strategy 30 forecast not seen in planning book

Hi Experts,
I am using planning strategy 50 in ECC and same has been transfered to APO as 30. Just to test scenario I have entered manually forecast in product view and created sales order in ECC which is CIFed to APO. Now as per SAP guide, scenario works fine in product view, where sales orders consumes forecast and shows remaining forcast after consumption.
But the remaining forecast and sales order is not seen in SNP planning book. Any suggestions?

I have a basic question ? Strategy group 50 in ECC comes to APO as Requirement Strategy 30 ..
But it is a Make to Order strategy .
Do you think that it is logical to plan /Forecast a make to order product?
You can enter a forecast in product view , system will not stop you.
If you click on the item it will show as make to order planning segment.
So, I dont think that you can forecast .
whatever you see the product view cannot be seen in the planning book.

Yes you can upload the excel files or flat files in APO planning area. APO planning area is made of characteristics and key figures. All the characteristic information is mainly available in Infoobject. You can upload these excel files in infobojects which will than reflect in planning book. Please find the detail information regarding APO BW building blocks.

Please go through the section 2. Setting up APO BW which will tell you all the details steps.
Please remember to activate the infoobject once you load the data.

Hi,
In the planning book-dataview, you will assign the time bucket profile, and will be on rollling basis. if you want the forecast profile on rolling basis, maintain the forecast and history horizon as periods then that will also be on rolling basis.
