How to enter passcode using voice over accessibility

How do i enter my passcode using voice over accessibility?

Hello there, cathy555.
The following section of the iPhone User's Guide provides some good information on using Voice Over:
Use iPhone with VoiceOver - iPhone
http://help.apple.com/iphone/7/#/iph3e2e2329
Particularly:
Enter your passcode silently. To avoid having your passcode spoken as you enter it, use handwriting; see Write with your finger.
Enter your passcode silently. Set the rotor to Handwriting on the passcode screen, then write the characters of your passcode.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
Cheers,
Pedro.

  • How do I enter passcode in voice over mode?

Hi, Don't know I did it, but I activated voice over mode on Ipad 1. Now can;t enter passcode. Any help appreciated.

Touch or tap the field that you want to use/select and it should get a box around it ; then double-tap that field to activate/type it. Once you've entered your password you can do the same (i.e. touch to select, double-tap to activate) to gradually get into  Settings > General > Accessibility > VoiceOver and turn it off.

  • HT1414 How to enter passcode with voiceover

How to enter passcode with voiceover?

Have you tried to enter the passocde this way?
When you see the password entry keys, tap each key once to select it, then double tap the key to enter it. So if I had a passcode of 1234 I would:
tap 1, pause, double tap 1 (see the entry field get filled)
tap 2, pause, double tap 2
    etc.
It should work the same way for a full password, only more tedious.
There is another possibility worth trying first. Triple tap the
    Home
button. If you have Accessibility set up this way you should get a popup that will let you turn Voice Over off.
I copied the text from this forum.

  • Driving Automator using Voice Over

    Hello,
I am visually impaired and so use Voice Over for all MAC access. I am trying to create a workflow to speak the current time. Using Voice Over without sighted assistance I can access the required actions and variables but alas I cannot fathom out how to combine the actions into a workflow. I cannot find an edit area or whatever where I can view the actions so far and move them around as necessary. The MacHelp tells me to drag and drop the necessary actions and variables into the panel on the right (or words like that) but, of course, I cannot do that using Voice Over. I tried copy and paste but to no effect, primarily because I could not find the place to paste the actions into.
So if anyone has successfully driven Automator using Voice Over without sighted help then please pass on your tips!
    Many thanks.

All I can suggest is to look at the instructions in the Users Guide. There is a lot on VoiceOver. See chapter 31 of

  • How do I get a voice over from garage band into Final cut x?

How do I get a voice over from garage band into Final cut x?  Sorry if this is a newbie question.  I have been editing in final Cut express on my MacBook Pro and just jumped to a new iMac and Final Cut ProX.  Trying to record my own voice on a Yeti mic and import it as narration for a video.  Thought I could simply import media but X has it greyed out.

Sharing with iTunes is OK, but it is likely to produce a file in MP3 or AAC, which can cause problems. You can create an AIFF version of an MP3 file in iTunes and use that.
To create an AIFF version, go to iTunes/Preferences and click the General Tab. Click the Import Settings button. Choose Import Using: AIFF Encoder. Then choose your track, and click FILE/CREATE AIFF Version. Use this in FCPX. Be sure to go back into iTunes Preferences and set the import options back to where you had it, so the next time you rip an CD it does not make an AIFF.

VoiceOver is an Accessibility feature while Voice Control allows you to control the Music app via voice.
To turn off VoiceOver triple click the Home button and go to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn it off. Use three fingers to scroll if necessary.

Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school environment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
     Cheers, Tom

  • Can I use voice over just for notifications?

i Want to use voice over but just so I can hear my notifications and messages read to me as they come in. But nothing else. Is it possible. ?

Forgive me as I did this a while ago, but heres how I remember it happening:
    1. I wiped it
    2. I selected "Set up as New iPhone"
    3. It registered
    4. It was activated, and was an iPod Touch basically
    5. I sold it, so I can't try it. I now use Verizon, so no SIM, although I do have an original iPhone (retired), but can't find my old SIM.

  • Set up a new macbook pro without using voice over

How do I set up a new MacBook Pro without using Voice Over. I can't get past the initial Welcome screen. The VO commands do not work as indicated in the forced tutorial.

Just click the Next and or Continue button. Voice over only starts shortly after you get to one of those screens and you wait to long to input something or click on an option and then Next or Continue. I think at the bottom of the screen there is an option to turn off the Voice over.

when I use voice over to read an epub in my Ibooks app, which is in Dutch, sometimes he start reading a book with an English Female voice and some books he reads with the Dutch male voice (which is good). All my epubs are Dutch books so the English voice sound terrible trying to pronounce Dutch. Can i fix this problem? Thanks, Tom

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:
    http://www.adwaremedic.com/kb/baddns.php
    http://www.adwaremedic.com/kb/hackedrouter.php
If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?
(Fair disclosure: I may receive compensation from links to my sites, TheSafeMac.com and AdwareMedic.com, in the form of buttons allowing for donations. Donations are not required to use my site or software.)

  • Using Voice Over to Speak Text

My husband wants to use Voice Over to search the web. I have figured out how to use it to speak text, but don't know how to use it to ask questions such as searching in Google. We have one computer using Snow Leopard, and one computer using Lion.

Voice over won't do that.  You need to check out Dragon Dictate.
