How to enter upgrade serial number
Im hoping this is something really simple to fix. So bascially my final cut and compressor crashed completely so I did a full uninstall. When i re-installed the software, it brought back my versions to Final cut 6.0 and DVDsp 4, ect..This is of course, not the version I have been using and I cannot find where I need to go in order to maybe re download the upgrade and enter in the serial number I have, or whatever the fix may be.
I really need to get this fixed ASAP as I have a project with a Friday deadline. Thanks in advance for your help.

I've purchased FCP6 Studio 2. Fresh out of the box. I tried to install it, but get an error message of "You have entered an upgrade serial number. Please enter your original serial number."
This is the serial number on the Installing Your Software manual required.
Anybody else have this problem? What steps to take?How much did you pay and where did you purchase the box?
If less than $1299 and from a non-standard vendor, you may not have a full version.

I purchased and downloaded Lightroom 5.5. After installing it, I was prompted for the serial number. When I entered it an error message appeared saying it was an upgrade serial number and I need to enter my original purchase number. This was my original purchase, not an upgrade. Now what do I do?
It sounds like you bought an upgrade from Adobe. How much did you pay? The upgrade is about $80, and the non-upgrade is about $150. If you bought an upgrade version and had no previous version, you would see what you're seeing.
If that is the case and I were you, I'd call Adobe, and arrange for a refund and to order the correct version.

I can't install Lightroom 5 on a second computer, I am NOT a creative cloud customer, I am a stand-alone user. You probably downloaded the Cloud version. Get the licensed version thru the following linked page...

There is no serial number for CC Cloud versions. They are authenticated via your Adobe ID.
Sign in to your Cloud account with your Adobe ID and download the software via the Cloud app. -
How do I enter the serial number in lightroom before the trial is up?
I'm trying to enter the serial number in the program that I downloaded from the trail version. How do I find where I can put the serial number in before the trial is up?
...and I thought it was an option each time you launched the programme but it's been a while since I had a trial version.
If neither John or I are correct then it's possible that you've downloaded the CC trial version by mistake....you can't enter a serial number into that version and will need to uninstall it and then download the standalone version (fear not if it comes to that you'll not lose any work). -
I am trying to load LR on my new macbook pro. It asks for the serial number. I enter the digits, but it says, quote, " This is an upgrade serial number. The serial number from your previous version of Lightroom is also required."
If you still have the old computer and it is a MAC, the Lightroom 5 serial numbers are in a text file.

How do I enter the serial number into Adobe Premiere Elements 11?
I just installed Adobe Premiere Elements 11 because I was not sure if it is supposed to be Adobe Elements 11 or Premiere. Now I need to enter the serial number but do not know how to get to that point after starting the organizer.
I only installed Premiere Elements, so far, last night. Sorry to confuse. I could have said it differently I suppose.
It has an option to install either one. Now; it said enter the serial or use trial version with a supposed option to then enter the serial number later. But to know how to get to where to do it? I have opened the program several times to look for it and see no place to enter the numbers. I clicked on each of the icons in my searches.
I found the new serial numbers one to each. I do not know how to get to where to enter one, unless I uninstall then re-install and then put in the new serial number as I set it up. Could you please specify more on the same.
Let me know if there is any message window that prompts you to enter the serial number.
You might not have activated Acrobat on your system after buying it which is why it is asking to provide the serial number.

How do I uninstall once the trial period has ended? The instructions say to de-activate the software, but the only option I am given is to enter a serial number (I can't get to a place where I can go to help and de-activate).. Thank you
