How to Erase all Content and Settings and keeping IOS 7.06?

I'd like to participate the iPhone 5 Sleep/Wake Button Replacement Program, however than I'll have to Erase all Content and Settings and I'm afraid I'll loose IOS 7.06.

If this is anything like standard warranty service, the unit you get back will be totally refurbished, which also means having it updated to the latest iOS release. The caveat in the program description hints this:
Note: If your iPhone 5 has any damage such as a cracked screen which impairs the replacement of the sleep/wake button, that issue will need to be resolved prior to the sleep/wake button replacement. In some cases, there may be a cost associated with the repair.
Also important to ask, does your phone have a faulty button in order to qualify for the repair?  They also clearly state:
Apple will replace the sleep/wake button mechanism, free of charge, on iPhone 5 models that exhibit this issue and have a qualifying serial number.

    I recommend that you
Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before. Make sure you specify a birthdate that results in being at least 13 years old
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
    Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
    Settings>FaceTime
    Settings>GameCenter
    and Settings>iCloud
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases.

Were you signed in to iCloud?
Did you have Find My iPhone enabled in the iCloud settings?
If so sign in to iCloud.com > Find My iPhone > Devices & select your iPhone
Otherwise, you are out of luck.

It should be the same AppleID and password you use to log in here.
I haven't installed Find my iPhone app on the phone?
Installing the app will simply allow you to locate a different iDevice.
You don’t need to use it to locate the iPhone in your hands. If it’s not in your hands, you cannot use the app on that device...

  • How to erase all from a TX and use a new user name?

I just got a used TX. It has all of the old info on it and of course the user name. I want to install my medical software etc and get rid of everything on the TX. I changed my user name on the desktop Palm software but it keeps reloading the information that was on the TX back to the TX when I do a hard reset and it keeps using the user name of the person I purchased the TX from. I want to wipe everything and start over. I am even having a hard time getting everything off of my Mac.
    Any ideas? Thank you. John

Hello and welcome to the Palm forums.
Here are the instructions you need for performing a hard reset on your palm, which will wipe off all the information.
A hard reset is performed by holding down the power button while sticking something thin (your stylus, paper clip) into the back reset hole of your device. Keep your hand on the power button while you release the paper clip from the reset hole. The screen will now say "Palm Powered." Take your hand off the power button. You will now see a screen in 5 languages prompting you to erase all data from the palm. The screen will say "erase all data? Yes - up, no - down" and you need to click on the up arrow (silver button on the 5 way navigator on the bottom of the palm). This will erase all the info from your device.

  • Can I erase all prior network settings and start from scratch?

I have an imac i3- I had transferred everything from my imac core 2 duo onto (including settings) whenever I got a new computer i transferred everything including settings.
I have been having problems with internet access- pages stall, it will often take a few minutes for a page to fully load, if I open a second window- both windows stall. This occurs with safari or firefox.
    I have time warner wideband.
Time warner has been out twice, changed modems- checked all lines- they even connect their laptop (windows) and the pages load very fast, multiple windows- no problems- the internet is actually faster on my ipad connected wirelessly.
After going to the genius bar- they did a hardware test- everything is ok, they went in and found many settings imported from as far back as 2003. they deleted the old "locations" settings in the network preferences and this improved things right away at the store- they recommended a full system restore without restoring the system settings if the problem wasn't completely fixed.
The question I have- is there a way to do this without backing everything up, re-installing osx and then recovering my backed up files? can I delete all the network settings alone somehow?
    Thanks

    Hi
Are you looking in the /Users/Home/Library/Preferences folder by any chance? The home folder is the one with the house icon. If you are then you're looking in the wrong folder. Double-click your hard drive icon and you should see a list of folders. If you view by list or column you should see the top level Library folder below the Applications folder. This is where you should be looking.

  • How to erase all self signed certificates and force Server to use Signed SSL

I have been using a poorly managed combination of self-signed SSL certificates and a free one. I have purchased a good SSL from Digicert and am trying to configure the server to use it across the board. All of the services seem to be using it, but when I try to manage the server remotely, I seeing a self-signed certificate instead.
I look under the system keychain in K-Access and there are several self signed certificates there (including the one that I am seeing when I try to remote manage).
Can I replace those self-signed certs with the new one some how?

Don't delete those.  However, you are on the right track.  Follow these steps to resolve.
    1:  Launch Keychain Access
    2:  Select the System Keychain
3:  Find the com.apple.servermgrd IDENTITY PREFERENCE (looks like a contact card) and double click to open it
4:  In the Preferred Certificate popup, change com.apple.servermgrd to your purchased certificate
5:  Press Save Changes to save.
6:  Reboot the server or kill the servermgrd process to restart the service.
    That should resolve your issue.
